| A few months ago a young Chinese man gave me a book with an audio tape
that goes with it. His teachers had gaven it to him to learn English from.
I said that he should keep it and he told me that he had another one that
was given to his younger brother. Seeing that they did not need two of
the same book and tape I took it. It was called Liao-Fan's Four Lessons
Audio Book and right away I could see the benefit to all human beings.
In the back of the book it said that it could be published by anyone as
long as it was not for sale. With a quick search of the internet I found
the text at: http://www.etext.org/Religious.Texts/Misc/4teachen.html
So I decided to publish it myself.
This is being written in the morning of Sunday, July 26, 1998. The young man who I told you about above should be getting ready to go out. Today is a big day for him. He will be taking refuge with the Three Jewels (Buddha, Buddhism and the Buddhist community) from my Master this morning. This shows that if you give Buddhist knowledge to others your own practice will improve. It is my sincere hope that all those that are reading this now will think of some ways to give to others for the benefit of all humanity. |
