Amida Trust has had a very good first year. It is wonderful to see what a network of people exhibiting the Buddhist paramitas of generous attitude, personal commitment, patience, enthusiasm, higher vision and mutual understanding can bring about. This is just to say 'THANK YOU' to everyone who has helped to make it possible." The Trust now has:

A year around program of short courses, public talks and seminars;
A psychotherapy training program;
A psychotherapy division with a working party on issues of accreditationand standards for Buddhist psychotherapists;
A Traveler's Loop to assist and encourage mutual visits;
An e-mail loop with worldwide membership;
A performance arts project currently seeking grant assistance;
A contemporary Buddhist arts project with plans taking shape for a workshop in the year ahead;
Members in 15 countries;
Special interest groups for Buddhist clinicians, artists, and therapists;
A Bosnia Hercegovina outreach project;
13 small mail loops for circulation of material of interest;
Two newsletters packed with interesting developments;
A summer retreat program in France;
Four active local groups and plans for a fifth to start shortly;
A growing membership (250+ thus far);
Friendly relations with many other Dharma groups and a lot of enthusiasm, goodwill, active debate, mutual support and friendship.
