[The opening sequence of Episode 7 is about the Imperial Clan.] The Imperial Clan of the Empire consists of eight families. It is a duty of those born to one of the families to join the Space Navy and compete with each other for the throne. And Lamhirh is one of them.
Lamhirh tells the baron that it is her mission to take Ghintec to his destination and if anything happens to him, she will never forgive the baron. The baron, an Abh after all, remains defiant.
OPGhintec regains consciousness to find himself on a bed in a peaceful garden. An older man, who has been watering the plants welcomes him. Ghintec introduces himself and his being an Abh earl surprises the man. He is the former baron, the father of the current baron. Ghintec tries to blame the him for his son's deed but he insists he doesn't know what is going on. Ghintec wants to know where Lamhirh is but again the former baron does not know. Ghintec asks the man to take him to his son right now but the former baron refuses. He's been confined in this area by his own son.
Secluded in her guest room, Lamhirh tries calling Ghintec through her bracelet in vain. She operates a computer terminal in the room. She asks a series of questions but the computer is forbidden to answer many of them. Yet she finds out a few things. She is the only registered guest and Ghintec is not in any of the guest rooms. An electronic key belonging to the baron or his servants is required to reach the communication boat. She switches the terminal off but switches it on again immediately when she remembers baron's father. The computer tells her where the former baron's room is but the baron's permission is required to see him. More importantly someone who is not registered with the computer is with him.
The former baron tells Ghintec of the relationship between him and his son. The current baron doesn't want anyone to see his genetically-grounder father and has confined him. An inferiority complex over his short history as an Abh and the low rank of his family is bothering the baron a great deal. Ghintec decides to get out immediately; five hours have already past since he was brought into the area.
When Lamhirh leaves her room she sees Sérnaïc sitting in a chair just outside. The fact that Lamhirh remembers her name makes her ecstatic. Lamhirh ignores her jubilation and walks off towards the bay. Sérnaïc follows her and tries to stop Lamhirh as she was ordered to by the baron. They eventually reach the locked entrance to the bay. Lamhirh suddenly holds Sérnaïc and touches various part of her body. Sérnaïc misunderstands her intentions but Lamhirh ignores her and plucks a key from her pocket and opens the door with it.
The baron is in his bedroom, enjoying some cider. He has been considering what he should do with the princess... or more precisely, trying to convince himself that he has made the right decision. If the enemy, the Four Nation Union, come to his domain it is inconceivable that they would leave him with his status as baron. Instead he will negotiate the security of his domain in return for giving the princess to them. He'll prolong the negotiation and offer them a lot of assistance. Once his domain becomes an important supply base they won't be able to touch it so easily. But what if the Empire remains out of contact and the enemy doesn't come, either? That would be ideal. He can become the absolute dictator of his small "kingdom" and have the princess bear his heir. Then a servant, Graidac, calls to alert him, someone has sneaked into the communication boat.
It is Lamhirh, of course. She emerges from the boat with something hidden in her sleeve and asks Sérnaïc to take her to Ghintec. The servant seems surprised to hear that her master has confined him and tells her that even she cannot get into the Third Residential Area, where the former baron is. All they can do is call him from the servants' office. Without hesitation Lamhirh decides to take control of it by force with her. She hands a gun, which she has kept in her sleeve, to her and shows her how to use it. Seeing Sérnaïc hesitating, Lamhirh tells her to choose either to live here for the rest of life as servant of the baron or to help her mission as a national of the Empire. After a little silence, she chooses the latter. However she does have one request. Now that she is going to rebel against her master, she will not be able to stay here. She wants to be Lamhirh's retainer. To her great surprise, the princess tells her she has none personally. Instead, she promises that she will ask her father, who is responsible for the retainers of her family.
The former baron tries to calm Ghintec, who has been surveying everywhere in the room for a possible escape route without success. The old man wants to know how Ghintec, a grounder, became an earl. His mother did well to become a baroness from a national but that is nothing compared with an earl. Ghintec tells him that his father wasn't even a national but is in no mood to talk about the history of his family. In any case, his search failed to find even a single window. "Of course" affirms the former baron. The area is surrounded by the culture farm [a place to make artificial meat] and, if you want to see something nice, you'd better use "this". He switches on a 3D art display that surrounds the entire room, including the floor. The image of snowy peaks and high mountains impresses Ghintec immensely. The former baron says nothing describes Abh's pride more eloquently than this image. "It is enough for an Abh to know his own nobility and there is no need to tell it to others." [this is a key to understanding Abh. They disdain any propaganda and those who are deceived by it. That is partly the reason why they allow themselves be so badly misunderstood by others]. Unfortunately his son failed to be a high mountain and instead dug holes around himself so that he might look higher that he really is. They discuss possible ways to escape but cannot think of anything feasible. Ghintec is sure Lamhirh can do something once he joins her. The old man wonders why he can trust the girl so much. Ghintec replies, "She is a princess of the Empire."
As the baron leads a few of his servants that he has armed to capture Lamhirh, Lamhirh arrives at the servants' office with Sérnaïc. She points her gun at the servants on duty and demands to communicate with the former baron. Their leader [Graidac] replies that it is forbidden by their master. Then Sérnaïc sees one servant, Kufaspia, pulling her own gun and shoots her. She misses the target but Lamhirh shoots her gun instead. Sérnaïc picks up the gun Kufaspia has dropped. The shooting convinces Graidac, "You're serious, your highness." "I never shoot people for fun." Graidac moves to open the communications when the baron and the armed servants come to the office. Lamhirh is quick to point her gun at him and orders him to cooperate. He is defiant and orders his servants to protect him but Sérnaïc's "How can you raise your guns against a princess!?" is enough to demoralise them. The baron accuses the servant of disloyalty but Lamhirh declares the national is under her protection. She also tells him she'll save Ghintec without his cooperation. "All I have to do is cut this mansion in half." The baron realises there is now way to talk her over and runs out of the office.
The armed servants and Kufaspia follow him while the others stay in the office. Graidac tells Lamhirh the phone is connected. To her surprise it is Ghintec who answers her on the phone. She warns him that the baron might be heading to the area. "What for?" "You have tough composure, don't you? Probably to kill you." There are no weapons in the area and Ghintec admits he can do nothing without her. As she speaks, much of the control of the mansion is taken away from the control room, probably by the baron. Lamhirh tells Ghintec the immediate danger has gone. She asks a servant to put the plan of the area on the screen and find something. "Ghintec, can you see the ceiling from there?" In the middle of the dome-like ceiling is a hatch. The former baron remembers the area was originally built as an entrance bay for special guests and there was a lift between the ground and the hatch. Lamhirh plans to bring the boat close to it and pick him up through the hatch.
The former baron, who has been listening to their conversation, suspects they are in love. Ghintec denies it but the old man points out there are very few in the Empire who can call a princess without her title. "It was because of ignorance and luck." The answer pleases the former baron but he, as well as Ghintec, is unaware of a big trouble the princess is about to create.
