-[ cerebral scan: video game center ]- I may be twenty-odd years old, but I'm still not going to give up my Playstation any time soon. I thought I was weening myself off of this addiction, but when I went to Hong Kong I discovered something beautiful called "piracy." In other words, I could buy eight pirated, fully functional Playstation games for just US$13. Needless to say, I was sucked back into the web of addiction that no mere patch or gum was going to free me from. My favorite series of games is definitely Final Fantasy. I've been playing it ever since the original came out on the 8-bit Nintendo system and Squaresoft (the company that produces these modern miracles) was the reason I defected from Nintendo to Sony. I buy almost everything that Square makes because the games are all high-quality and they make me feel a little dizzy, but in a good, post-orgasmic way. No, I don't really mean that. I'm not THAT pathetic. I was just testing to see whether or not you were paying attention. I bet you weren't even reading this, but started to eagerly after seeing that naughty little word, huh? I used to like the Streetfighter games (I started ever since the original, pre-Chun Li and all), but I guess I was looking for something more than memorized button-pushing gameplay and 100+ hit combos. Now I prefer fighting games that require a little more intelligence, usually 3D fighters like Soulblade and Tekken.
