-[ cerebral scan: travels and journeys ]- As I've said, the world is a classroom and that's a good thing, because if it wasn't, I'd never study. There's nothing I love more than traveling around the globe and I'd probably indulge in it even more if it was cheaper and/or I was richer. I've travelled with my family many, many times, and perhaps those experiences together helped make us as close as we are. My year in Hong Kong also gave me many welcomed opportunities to expand my horizons and you'd better bet your ass that I seized those without a second thought. All of these places left memories with me, some good, some bad. The worst of the worst would have to be Amsterdam (the modern-day Sodom and Gamorrah) and Vancouver (a hellhole with rude people and cheating taxi drivers). More importantly, though, the best of the best are definitely Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Germany. They are by far the most precious to me not only because of their natural beauty and/or dynamic social life, because of the people I met there, whether they be friends, family, or friends who are just like family. It's to those places that my heart is called back to.
