Kanoko eventually discovered that the reason Shino was allergic to women was because of his grandmother. Apparently his grandmother was quite a sadist, she used to lock him up and set the dog on him when he misbehave, all this when he was only 4 years old. The reason why he wasn't allergic to Kanoko was because he used to have a doll, (his mother's last gift before she died, and shortly before he was given to the care of his grandmother) which happened to look like Kanoko. In the end the two of them get together, after Kazuomi and Shino fought. Kazuomi accused Shino for being a cold, heartless person. Shino became pissed off and at the end of the fight he said somethign like "how would you feel if you can't even touch the person you love". Kanoko heard this and she was touched and zooms to the happy scene.

Verdict
This is one of the better manga, in this type of genre. The drawings are finely drawn and the humour is hilarious. One of the funniest sub plot was how the principal of the school failed to elope 50 years ago, because she thought she though was supposed to wait near the bridge. While her lover waited underneath the bridge. It's a send up on all those rendevous meeting where the girls was ditched and become permanently scarred and bitter for life.
