*The name was created by the band's ex-bassist, Brian Marshall. Marshall's former band was called Mattox Creed, and that's where he got the name from.*

*Creed is not a Christian band, they are instead more of a spiritual religious band.*

*Creed's 'Human Clay' album has been on the Billboard's top 15 albums chart for over one year - debuting at number 1.*

*Bassist Brian Marshall sadly left Creed in August 2000 due to personal and professional differenced with the other members. Brett Hestla will take him place temporarily.*
