Do U feel very much difficult to identify any Ragam, whatever they say "Mohanam", or "Kalyani", or "Hindolam"? Don't worry!!! Slowly U can also pick up. First it is like a "Match and Find" pattern.

See suppose if U pick up the telephone and hear someone's voice who doesn't mention their name, U will automatically try to match the voice to a list of person's voices U already know. Isn't it? The same thing is applicable to identify Ragam also.

Collect atleast one audio cassette in Carnatic Music sung by anyone of your favourite Musician. Hear the songs by seeing the Ragam name in the list of the Cassette. Put the Ragam pattern along with the name of the Ragam in mind. If U happened to hear any song anywhere, try to match with the songs that U have heard already in the cassette i.e. in the list. If it matches, U can very well say, the song U hear is in this Raga.

Got it? Try out... now... May be U find it difficult in the first... But by practice, it's so easy. Just begin with only 2 or 3 Ragas. OK?
