My Photo Album
Welcome to my photo album. I am just learning how to use the photoshop on my computer, so if my images seem a little odd, that's why. I have included some stories with the pictures. Hope you enjoy them!
This is me in my Christening gown that my mom made. My mom made most of my clothes when I was little. She can knit, sew and smock. Ummm...I didn't inherit any of her sewing abilities! The most I can do is hem my own uniforms.
Parents can be so cruel!
My mom swore if she ever had a baby girl, she would never put her in pink. Well, this dress was a gift, so she put it on me. It's my only baby picture where I am wearing the stereotypical pink dress. My mother was horrified, however, when I got older and she realized that her efforts had been in vain. My absolute favorite colour as a child was pink! :-)
I'm about a year old here...not sure what I'm screaming about...probably just excited.
Learning to walk. Check out that hat! I think we still have it in our box of dress-up clothes!
I must be about two and a half here, having my little tub bath. We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa, who were camping. Mom took me for a walk and I guess I got into the dirt or sand, or something.
Doesn't every girl want her first kiss immortalized?! Geez, now I know how movie stars feel, with photographers documenting their every affair! I have a feeling this shot was set up by our parents. That's "Freckles" the doll in my lap there.
This picture has been titled "The Marriage". That's me (I'm all of five years) and Brendan, and Andrew (standing in back) was our best man. I haven't seen my "first husband" since I was about eight years old. We look so serious...you'd think we really were getting married! Check out the sandles on my feet...apparently the bride can't tell her right from her left!
This is me and my best friend from childhood, Alex. Don't you just love the plastic jewelry? :-)
My grade one photo. This is one of the rare pictures of me without bangs. I was trying to grow them out all through grade one, but my mom finally got fed up with having to pin it back all the time, so she cut it.
Here I am in grade three at awards day. I'm standing in between two of my friends Lauren and Jill, waiting to recieve my award. If you look closely you can see that there is a large bandage on my right knee. You see, a few days prior I got the hairbrained idea to ride my bike down a humungous rock. Well, naturally I wiped out half way down and proceeded to roll and skid the rest of the way, resulting in some nasty cuts. I remember my mother, who had witnessed the whole thing, was absolutely furious! She refused to help me untangle myself from my bike, telling me, "You did it to yourself!" I think I gave her more than a few gray hairs with some of my stunts, which included (but were not limited to): building the human catapult and doing a face plant on the cement, swimming down the river rapids without an inner tube and getting sucked under, teasing the bull and getting chased over the fence, and climbing on the roof at school.
