-The first order of business was to elect and introduce with congratulations the newly elected board members for the year 2001.

Secretary/Treasurer - William Roberts (unfortunately William cannot serve the whole year, so we are looking for a replacement. Please forward any suggestions to one of the board members, Thank You)
-Steve Johnson, discussed current pay problems for students using the Old GI Bill/Montgomery program.
-Steve Johnson announced the two Work/Study positions available to verterans on campus. These positions will allow students to earn money, but students cannot work for more than 20 hours per week. Details will follow.
-Wanda Merical announced the pay increase for Chapter 31 students.
-Wanda Merical notified all VA/VR members of the postponed visit of Byron Combs.
-Review methods to increase visibility and membership of the organization among UNCP students.
1) Discussion of Pine Needle article concerning Voices of Vets.
2) Membership Drive
3) Possible Fund Raisers
4) Voices of Vets banner (the VoV organization purchased a banner with the VoV and the UNCP logo for use in all VoV projects)
5) Distribution of VoV flyers throughout the campus
-Don Gersh, requested participants for Chancellors Residence Reception for International students and recognition of all veterans on campus.
