Febuary 12, 1999 a sad day for the the U.S. of A.

Al Gore said (3-11-99 on CNN): ``During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.''

The Internet, originally called ARPANET, dates to 1969, when the Defense Department began funding the project. Gore, then 21, was still eight years away from joining Congress.

President Clinton gets the 1998 B.S. award for a BIG fib.

I did not and the people like me! ;-)
