In the beginning of the human adventure there was a clean environment and the earth exhibited landscapes of perfect harmony.
That world inspired our ancestors the desire to transmit their internal emotions to other members of our breed,and "Art" was the name of the game:already 27.000 years ago some artists represented the excitement of hunting in a cave,now underwater: La Grotte Cosquer. Today, in most of the Archeology Sites of the World the main objective of scientists is the protection of the remaining culture bits ,a bridge of emotions between old and modern generations.Sometime,the nature provided a snapshot of an entire town cast in a sudden monument by the eruption of a volcano like the Roman city of PompeiWould you like to take a look at the Imperial Forum in real time ?NOW YOU CAN TAKE PERSONALLY THE CONTROLS OF THE NEW WEBCAM ON THE FORUM !!!


If you can't wait on line or the WebCam is down...just jump in the middle of the Forum and look around (this is a record,of course,and allows you to see where the above WebCam is placed;it's in the only window in the upper part of the brown tower forming the right angle of the big building to the left of the Senatus Romanus-the brown house with three windows and a door.- for those who know the Forum in the lower part of the tower there is the Tabularium):

But mostly thanks to the efforts of explorer,scientists and collectors we now can share the feelings of the great artists of the past visiting museums like The Louvre in Paris.or the Vatican Museums (link in preparation).
