A slave should be gagged whenever possible to make sure he or she does not have the opportunity to say anything. While simple cloth gags can be used for that purpose, some other gags can have additional benefits for gagger and gaggee alike. Click on pictures for larger versions.

Penis gags

By using a penis gag, a dominant can not only make sure his or her submissive cannot say anything, but also make sure that the submissive has the opportunity, since their mouth is not being used for anything else anyway, to practice their oral sex techniques. The gag should preferably have a locking buckle, so that even if the slave's hands are free, he or she cannot remove the gag. Not only is a penis gag a good way for a slave to practice his or her oral sex techniques, it is also a good way for the dominant to humiliate the slave, as there are very few things more humiliating than having a fake penis lodged in your mouth that you can't remove. However, the gag can be made more humiliating by certain techniques, such as the right picture above where the word "CUMSLUT" has been printed on the front of the gag, informing all who see her as to what she craves. For added humiliation, her master or mistress could force her to respond to the name Cumslut whenever she wore the gag, making it into a totally embarrassing name badge.

Branks

Branks, or scold's bridles, were originally used in Europe during medieval times to silence nagging women. They consisted of a headcage made of iron that locked onto the victim's head, and designs ranged from the simple to the ornate, depending on what village you were in. There were two ways a branks could silence the punishee; either through a plug which projected into the mouth or a sharp spike which rested on the victim's chin while his or her mouth was closed. Branks with projecting plugs could have either a plain plug or a plug with spikes on it, with those spikes driving themselves cruelly into the victim's mouth. Some branks included attached bells which alerted all who were near the victim to his or her arrival. Usually the branks were locked on the scold who was then led through town on a chain attached to the branks to the derision of onlookers, although in some villages men whose wives were nagging them could "borrow" the branks from the town (provided they were not in use) and use them on their wives, using a chain to attach them to a hook in the wall either on the inside or outside of their dwelling.

Obviously, any bondage instrument with spikes that cannot be avoided borders on the insanely cruel, so if a modern-day branks is to be made, it should be made without spikes. However, in the design above note that two small bells have been placed directly in front of the victims' ears. This would cause a small ringing sound, but one that would seem loud to the victim since the bells are so close to the ears, and over time the ringing would probably drive the victim mad, eager to do anything just to have the infernal device removed. Gag Endurance

One very interesting way to train a slave is through increasing his or her ability to tolerate larger and larger gags for longer and longer periods of time. By increasing both the size of the object entering the mouth, as well as the amount of time that object is held in place, several benefits are realized from your slave. This training enforces the slave's silence in several ways - the pure time of the gagging, the stronger enforcing of silence due to the size of the gag wad, and the resulting soreness of the slave's jaw from such training ensures silence well after the gag has been removed. Another nice benefit is that it gets the slave used to having large objects crammed way down his or her throat.

Your slave may mockingly laugh at you for gagging him or her with just a small bandana for a couple of hours. But let's see your slave laugh when you increase their gag rag by 2" on each side every day, and keeping him or her gagged for 20 minutes longer each and every day. When your slave has to keep the equivalent of a large linen napkin held in his or her mouth for twelve straight hours, we'll see who's laughing then.

The secret to gag endurance is making sure the gag stays tightly in place - your slave is going to do anything it takes to get that infernal cloth out of his or her mouth. The two best ways to do this are through a series of scarves layered over each other, or through tape wound all the way around the head. In the pictures shown, the slave has had her gag rag taped securely in place (her hair held up in a ponytail to avoid messy tape removal). As her mouth is crammed with the rag on the left, note how she begins to get "chipmunk cheeks" from having her mouth so solidly packed that her cheeks bulge. The nice thing about chipmunk cheeks is that they lead to what you see in the other picture on the right, where her cheeks bulge over the tape wound so tightly around her head. Such tight gagging leads to the infamous John Willie "gag-look," where the slave's eyes become misty and tear up, and her gaze becomes forcibly vacant. She's almost three hours through her gagging ... just another nine to go, sweetie.
