This marvellous view of Mt. Ruapehu is from the last ridge before the descent to Waihohonu Hut on the Northern Tongariro Circuit. The serrated ridge rising from the right is Pinnacle Ridge - a challenge to many a climber. Tomorrow's journey is up the Waihohonu Stream (just visible in the lower right) to the Tama Saddle (not in the picture) and Whakapapa village.
