Tena and I dumped in the surf in Pachina Bay and paddled to this beach to remove our dinghy suits and dry off. Tena was shy, so she took the picture while I posed.

Brooke bought it while landing on the beach.

Bills dip

Bill's first BIP dip occured as he was getting out at the boat launch. Mud, and a congestion of boats might be blamed, but really, his time had just come.

Location: Skagit River boat launch.

Dumping in cold water can be dangerous and we don't take it lightly, but a good attitude and sense of humor help you recover and get going again. We always look out for each other and are there to assist, as in Tena's assisted reentry in rough water off Cape Beale. We all have our dry clothes to change into in case of an emergency. When it's all over you smile to you see yourself drying in your underwear and remember you're vulnerable out there.
