A Fired-up Breed
The great Dominican composer-singer Juan Luis Guerra explained it nicely in one of his songs, "El Costo de la Vida" (The price of life), when he said that Dominicans are:
"Una raza encendida: (a fired-up breed)
negra, blanca y taína..." (black, white and Taino)
