- Altimeter/watch
- Small tent - Saunders Jetpacker Dimensions 1.4 kilo. This is a small tent! Better be good buddies with your running partner.
- Small sleeping bags
- Z mats - from Thermarest
- Lowe Alpine hats
- Lowe Alpine jackets – or Raidlight jackets
- 2 Balaclavas
- 2 Down vests - this is a must and allows for much lighter sleeping bags
- 2 capilene undershirts
- 2 Polarguard white midlayer shirts
- 2 pairs windstopper gloves
- 1 bra
- 2 underwear
- 2 Raidlight jackets
- 2 overtrousers
- 2 powerstretch pants
- 2 drysocks
- 2 spare socks - do not forget your spare socks
- Plastic bags to wear over spare socks to avoid them getting soaked by wet shoes - VERY IMPORTANT
- 2 Fleece – patagonia R2
- 2 Walshes - just do it and buy some Walshes
- 2 Compass
- 2 Headtorches - Petzl Tikka
- 2 Whistle
- 2 Rescue bags
- 2 pen sets
- 2 First Aid
Kitchen-ish
- Solid fuel pellets 18
- Solid Fuel stove
- Pentapure
- 2 Matches, lifeboat
- 2 Lighter
- 2 Platypus bag 2 liter
- Kitchen roll - much better than TP, doesn't disintegrate when damp
- 2 Knives
- 2 Spoons
- 1 Pot
- 1 Pot Clasper - do not forget your pot clasper, it's worth the weight
- 1 alu-foil sheet that goes around stove and pot. Much faster.
Food
- 1lb Sosmix
- 2 Instanoodles with pot
- 2 Goulash soup
- 4 portions porridge – 2 after dinner, one late, one morning.
- 1 portion muesli
- 2 banana pudding
- 3 portions dried milk
- 1 portion ultra starter - with muesli and porridge a rocking brekkie
- 1 portion coffee
- 4 broth cubes
- 1 paper plate funnel
- 6 portions ultrabuffer @ 1 liter
Snacks
- Caffeine chocolate
- 8-10 Powergel
- 8 Fruitgel packs
- 2-4 Powerbar
A secret for a reasonable sleep: When you arrive, eat a quick hot snack/starter - (Instanoodles/soup) then catch a few hours kip in the afternoon/early evening when it is still reasonably warm. Then cook again for main sos-mix meal. Then when you wake up bloody miserable at 4am, cook and eat porridge. Only 2 hours to reveille anyway!
WISHLIST
Better sleeping bags - Mountain Equipment Skywalker 1 or Dewline Either would be lighter than the 1000gr we carry now.
Or perhaps something from Rab maybe the summit 300 or Micron Elite range. Or a Marmot Helium -9c for 907gr. Or a PHD Bag Maybe even the 600. Rated -13 for 980gr. Or even this weird Aluminium Blizzard Pack thing.
