Finally the weekend's here! I wake up at 10:00 by Laura's shower. Went to sleep until 11:00. We decide to spend the day apart. Laura went to the Ouimet Canyon (east of Thunder Bay) for a nature walk and exploration. Phil, Nina and I went to the visitor center, I wanted to test my camera out, then off to the agate mine and the amethyst mines. But I discovered that the Great Rendezvous at Old Fort William is this weekend. So I didn't get to do it today but I'm going to try to sneak off tomorrow for a little while and do at least an hour of Rendezvous. Oh boy more film to use up!! Anyway the agate mine was pretty cool. We all picked a few really neat samples (Phil got an especially nice sample). Mine are for when I go back home. I plan on buffing it up at Science North on their wheels. The amethyst mine was pretty cool too. They had the mine right there beside the spot where you could dig for amethyst.

After the mine experience, we tried to find Nina and Phil a campsite. After a few futile efforts we find a nice spot beside a lake for them. I must remember to pick them up tomorrow.

I got home and Laura wasn't there so I read my magazine (the new PC Gamer) then went to call Jenn. I got a few e-mails from her today (well I read them today at any rate) saying that she had had a few bad days. The phone call cheered her up I think. She was kind of pissed at me because she had written a few e-mails telling me how she had hurt her back and she only got an e-mail from me saying thanks for the e-mail. She thought I was being totally insensitive. I just didn't know. So after I called her I came back home and started dishes. Laura came in soon after that and we basically talked about lots of stuff until late in the evening/early morning.

Tomorrow should be busy for everyone (well for at least me) so I should stop what I'm doing and go to bed. Nite.
