FRIDAY!! The last day of camp. But more importantly PAYDAY!! I can now afford to live, eat and maybe pay a bill or two. But camp first.

We didn't get to do our camp discussion last night and since Laura slept in this morning we didn't get to do our discussion this morning. But since the girls got everything set and ready for Friday last night while Phil and I did Swap Shop there was plenty of time to discuss our plan of attack. We decided to cut the last session short by ½ hour to five the kids one last time at trading. And it turned out to be a good idea since we STILL didn't finish until 5:00. It should be different once we're in Atikokan because I think we have keys and codes to the school. Laura and Nina did Swap while Phil, Rob and quite a few kids cleaned up. We even got some stuff ready for Monday. Hopefully things will go much smoother. We finally get the last kid out the door and we leave by 5:15. It's hard to believe that we've finished our first week already. The kids seemed to vary in their reactions too. Some left without saying good-bye, some just wanted to hang out, and some you could just tell didn't quite know what how to say good-bye. Hopefully next year's crew will keep the dream alive. But all in all they were pretty good kids.

So we all decided to go out for supper. Guess Laura didn't feel up to it because she never showed. Rob went to the mall where his pictures were to develop the second camera he had used and buy a camera. They had some really nice 35mm ones then I saw this beautiful Canon camera and I agonized over should I buy it or not. I bought stuff I NEEDED and finally buy it anyway. It's got some really cool features on it and when I learn how to use them all I might be able to take some amazing shots. It'll take LOTS of practice though. I tried to call Jenn but she wasn't home. Then I tried to call her again but the phone picked up on the first ring so I'm not sure if she was home or not. I told her I'll try again tomorrow. I didn't have her cell number (nice boyfriend eh?) so I couldn't call her on that phone. But I'll try either or both tomorrow.

I also bought a couple of books and card as well as some Tupperware for my lunch. And that pretty much ends my shopping until next pay period. *SIGH* guess I'll never get the hang of this money management thing.

I met up with Phil and Nina in Chapters and over $3 hot chocolate we look at my pictures. I bought a book of ghost towns on northern Ontario and my thought was we stop and visit a few of them as we travel from place to place or on weekends we're not going to B.C. (it seems to get farther and farther every time we talk about it. If we start talking of Japan we've delved into the obtuse).

Phil and Nina bought new journals as well so we all stayed up (them and me) to record our trip. Since I'd started mine at the beginning, I kind of had a head start on them. But it's nice to hear how they're recording the events as they saw them. They're also doing just about every detail of the trip while I'm just recording events that I feel are important. Usually that's enough to trigger the memory banks.

So the weekend here. Saturday should be fun. I want to go to the Amethyst and Agate mines outside of town and grab some crystals for personal and Swap Shop use. Phil, Nina and I will probably be travelling together for most of the day. As long as I do the two mines I'm happy. I'd really like to go to Old Fort William too. Doing the Rendezvous would be AMAZING! I'll have to check on when they are.

Well I want to play with my new camera, that and the fact I've written almost four pages or more tonight so I'm going to stop.
