Wake up was at 9:00 am. Phil and Nina had pitched a tent in the back yard so I let them sleep in for a while. Laura and I were packed already so we basically cleaned the house. We were ready to go by 12 and hit the open road.

Our first stop was Kekabeka Falls. Gorgeous! The falls were incredible and the gully the river ran through was awesome. I would love to canoe it. Also found out that the rocks there are 2 billion years old and contain the world's oldest known fossils.

Then off to the ghost town. It was actually pretty cool. Most of the buildings and stuff still standing. WE toured a couple of the houses and Laura and I found a bunch of cabins (new ones) down the road from the ghost town.

We make it to Eva Lake and pretty much fall in love with the place. Almost makes us want to quit and stay here.

Then we go off to the school. It's amazing. Just built last fall it has everything we could want and more. Way way cool. The only thing is that it's ½ hour drive from home so that makes it a bit tough on us. We get set for Monday then I show them the main drag of Atikokan. Not much has changed since I was here last. A few new stores but everything stayed as I remembered.

I called the base and Crash will be in tomorrow so I'm going for a visit. If anyone else is on base I'll visit them too. I'm also going to see if I can score some equipment from Don for day or so.

We go home and eat supper. After that we do some work (not much though) and basically hang out. I read a few more chapters in my book, wrote tonight's entry and now bed. Nite.
