Can't believe that I survived today. My freaking hammock broke last night. Which wouldn't be so bad if we could have found it again to fix the zipper. But I couldn't find the it. Phil generously gave me the zipper off his coat but it didn't work. So I spent most of the night in the hammock open to the bugs. No sleep there. Then it got REALLY hot in the hammock so I slept under the stars. The bugs were the same but the heat was bearable. Still got very little sleep but still seemed to manage to be perky in the morning. We got home and Laura hadn't gone for her plane ride yet. She left and we went into town to see Don one last time and to try to get the photos for Phil and Nina. Don was there but the pharmacy was closed. Phil and Nina worked a deal with Dave to get them and mail them to us.

We finished packing and head off for Dryden. The drive is totally uneventful but we don't get lost (for once).

The hotel is not run by the smartest woman in the world (the boot saying comes to mid here) but everything gets sorted out in the end. Phil, Nina and I (Laura was going to catch up with us later) unpack then head out for supper and a little exploration of the town. We decide on A&W for supper and am I glad we did. They were selling the glasses/mugs that I've always wanted. They had on that would easily hold two beers! Phil and I both bought one. Should be a good few weeks.

Phil cooks supper while Nina and I go in search of the school. I'll have to see it before I make my final decision but it looks interesting. WE arrange to have the janitor meet us at 7:30 am (GAWD!) so we can get set up.

I'm starting to become concerned about Laura. Finally at 11:30 or so she calls from Fort Francis. She made a wrong turn and got lost. But all I really cared about was that she's OK.

So some or all of my contingencies come into effect tomorrow. But I'm still having trouble sleeping so I wrote this entry now I'm going to try to sleep again. LONG day ahead tomorrow.
