Native America Women of the Anadarko are among the founders membership list in 1903. This organizations goal was and is to comfort and assist those Native Women who are actively trying to improve the lives of Native mothers and daughters everywhere, and especially in the Indian community. While trying to give aide and comfort to those trying to hold on to their culture in the midst of a transformation taking place all around them.
Many tribes have and are facing total extinction. From such a desperate situation came a flash of anger and determination, not to disappear from the face of the earth. This theme still holds today with our Native People. Not to become physically extinct, nor mentally extinct. Not to give up our Native ways for the socially acceptable existence in another 's dominant culture.
Soon, these women were joined by others. Now, 100 years later....

Current DNA Council leader is Clo-que-ya. She is a honored member of a federally recognized tribe and is active in Tribal affairs. Our council board organization holds twenty four positions as the more active contributors, to our base organization. Actively Networking throughout the native communities.
We have combined our conventions with other gathering that many of our members would be attending. Our 1991 convention was in Salt Lake City, along with Ten Thousand at the Native American Warrior Dancers convention. A most Excellent time was had by all. We have chosen the Red Earth festival in Oklahoma City, Okalhoma, several times to meet.
We ask for your prayers to strengthen the hearts of everyone who get up each morning and return to the battlefields to improve the lives of native people. These battlefields are now usually behind a desk, yet, much good can be done if the heart can keep the faith.
With this support group, we try to recharge the hearts of those who get tired, burned out, disgusted, and discouraged. Remind our members that they are not alone. Sometimes we can work real miracles of cooperation to solve little and big problems. Sometimes, we can just share the pain of temporary defeat.
Yes, we have members that interact with our membership with and for the spiritual side of our nature. Most natives interact closely with their spiritual side, and knowingly travel down the good red road, around in the Medicine Wheel, and under the tree of life.
Though some of our members are interacting in situations that are physically dangerous, most of our fights now are done with paper / telephone/ fax machines/ and e-mails, instead of guns. These fights can be just as important to the success of the effects of our Native People as guns of earlier years.
