The Desert Tournament traditionally takes place after the Gulf Championship, usually around the end of April or start of May. By then the summer is nearly upon us so the temperatures have reached into the 40's...so damn all running is done....well that's the theory. In practice we have to run since that then justifies the annual pilgrimage to Paul Beecher's desert camp in 'Ballynoe', which we usually hit with a fierce thirst
