Well, I guess you all know me, Deadeye the Sayjin. Sure, I’ve starred in a lot of my own fanfics, but those were humorous. This time it is dead serious, and I might not make it. Anyone who gets this message should tell the world what’s coming, a terror unlike anything you can imagine. If you are able to get to the portal, assemble a force, that’s all I can recommend, I have to go now, it’s time for the most important fight of my life.

THE BETA SAGA
Episode 1: Forced Departure of Reality
Dragonett, Nix, and Deadeye all lied down around a rock looking into the sky for no apparent reason. Meanwhile Jason and Kobra sparred in a clearing. Majin was at a bench working on a laptop.
"Damn, I’m bored…" Deadeye said, still staring unblinkly up at the sky.
"Yeah…me too…" Nix agreed and blinked, something very exciting at the time.
"We could blow something up." Dragonett suggested, trying to pull all of them out of this pit of boredom.

Suddenly Jason came flying out of the clearing and flew over the creek before smacking into a tree.
"Shit! That hurt! ACK!" Jason said and narrowly ducked low enough to dodge Kobra’s kick which broke clear through the tree.
"It’s called sparring Jason, get used to it." Kobra said as she wrapped her tail around his leg and threw him into another tree, before she could attack again she noticed the other three.
"Hey, watcha looking at?" She said as she zanzokened over and looked up.
"Oh nothing, just various atoms including hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon dioxide continually collide and repel only to collide again in an endless dance of particles known as an atmosphere." Deadeye said morbidly, the others stared at him.
"-.-() I know, I say weird things when I’m bored." Deadeye said then resumed staring up at the sky.
"Hey, ever think that our universe may not be the only one out there? I mean, they do say it my be a limited space, but what could be beyond that? Are there a large number of universes just waiting to be discovered through some use of technology or is our universe the supreme one, the only one, a vast and truly infinite ball of nothingness?" Kobra said as she too succumbed and lie flat on her back looking up at the sky.
"You know, I never thought of that…" Jason said from his spot underneath the tree.
"Why don’t you come over here?" Dragonett asked.
"Because my femurs are fractured."
"Oh…"
"…well?"
"Well what?" Kobra asked.
"Aren’t you gonna come over here and help me?"
"…no."
"…damn…"
Six hours later…
"…Damn, we’re still staring at the sky…" Deadeye said, still staring up at the sky. He then noticed all the others were asleep.
"Hmm, too much coffee this morning…" Deadeye muttered to himself as he noted the fact he was not phased of energy. It then began to rain.
"zzzzwha…oh shit…" Dragonett said as a large drop landing on her nose woke her up. She woke the others up and they all quickly dispersed, getting back to their homes.
Deadeye gave a wave to the others and flew off back to his house.
"RIVETING afternoon." Deadeye commented sarcastically and smiled. He was soon at his house after ten minutes of flying and thoroughly soaked. He went through the door dripping wet and chilled to the bone.
"F-f-f-f-f-fire…n-n-n-n-need f-f-f-f-fire…" Deadeye said shivering and went about making a fire (in the fire place of course) Then changed out of his wet clothes and into a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt then sat down in his chair and turned on the tv, tuning it to MTV and watching Jackass.
"Ah, warm at last." He said then leaned back in his chair. He was about to fall asleep when…
"BANG BANG BANG!"
"Wha…oh…" Deadeye said groggily as he walked over to the door and opened it. Suddenly a large figure tackled him and pinned him down on the ground, it’s strength was overwhelming and he found himself unable to breath, he saw a second figure walk in, it was highlighted by the light of the fire and looked to be similar in appearance to Cell.
"Who…who are you?" Deadeye asked, gasping for air.
"We are what you would call a fail safe device. My name is Cell Alpha, he is Cell Gamma." Alpha said ridgidly.
"But……Cell…………is……………….dead………" Deadeye replied shakily, he was close to passing out.
"Gamma, let him breath, I want to savor this first kill." Alpha said coldy, Gamma let up so Deadeye’s chest wasn’t so consticted and he drew a long breath.
"Now that the color has retured to your cheeks I am sure you are curious as to our existence. The base of it all is the fact that Doctor Gero actually made a perfect being, after the death of Cell’s inner core it released two unique atoms, capable of replicating themselves, these two atoms stood in dormancy for years, constantly looking for materials to absorb and replicate with, soon, after five years, those two atoms had absorbed enough material, and found enough organic material to replicate into an organic compound, and grow. The genes of Cell were still scattered about the area of his death in the form of dead organic remains, fortunately they were enough to use. One of the compounds is staring you in the face, and the other is telling you of how it’s existence came to be." Alpha said matter of factly. Gamma picked Deadeye up from the collar of his sweatshirt and lifted him off his feet.
"You’ll like this even better, I really shouldn’t tell you this, but since ou’re about to die anway I don’t see any harm in doing so. Doctor Gero’s vast plan of DNA and gene fusion is not over, both of us were deisigned with the knowledge to genetically construct another Cell, one that would be superior in every way imaginable than the original. Better yet, we’ve stumbled upon something rather intersting, a technology that will allow us to travel to alternate universes, and with the proper genetic modifications, our creation will be capable of absorbing any power from these alternate universes." Alpha continued. Gamma then wrapped his arms around Deadeye’s midsection also pinning down his arms.
"You may kill him now." Alpha said and smirked. Gamma squeezed as hard as he could.
"EEAAAAAAAAAAARRGGGGHH!!!!" Deadeye yelled as all of ribs began to fracture along with his arm bones. Intense pain surged through his chest with a vengeance as a rib punctured his lung, finally Gamma dropped him to the floor, Deadeye couldn’t remember any other time he felt so pathetic, he coughed up blood, it trickled out of the corner of his mouth and soon formed a puddle on the floor.
"Quit toying with him Gamma, I wish to leave, NOW!" Alphan said, then flew up and broke through the roof, Gamma picked up Deadeye by the leg and tossed him into the front yard, then flew up 50 feet and fired a ki blast down which nailed Deadeye straight on. It’s power cold be felt despite the fact the explosion only had a five foot radius. Alpha looked down at Deadeye’s seemingly lifeless corpse and chuckled.
"Good work, no need to create a flurry of human activity, our work here is done Gamma, we shall return to the lab." Alpha said then flew off with Gamma tagging along behind him. Unbeknownst to them Deadeye was not dead yet.
I can’t believe it…he totalled me…no one’s ever done that!…how could he…no…gotta focus on the here and now, I’m dying…Deadeye’s mind raced as he painfully got to his knees through what seemed like a divine intervention. He closed his eyes and started to concentrate.
Body, you have the power to heal yourself, I grant you this power, use it now. Deadeye continued to concentrate as he powered up his mana, a blue aura surrounded him and he felt immense relief as he could feel his broken bones mending, torn flesh regenerating and nerves began to reconnect. Soon he was healed completely.
"Those bastards!" Deadeye yelled at no one in particular. He got back into his original clothes, which were now dry and got his sword then strapped it to his back.
"They’ll pay for this, and besides, I have to do something about this second Cell thing." Deadeye said then walked out and looked around. He could feel no energy.
"…shit…they must be able to mask their energy…" Deadeye cursed and then closed his eyes again.
Inner eye, show my enemies. He concentrated on that thought until his vision was replaced with blackness, he began to look around until he saw two red dots speeding away.
"Gotcha…" Deadeye said and smirked, thankful he knew how to use infravision. He was about to fly after them but…
Wait, if I power up now they will come back and kick my ass even more thoroughly…Deadeye thought, then decided to take a route on land and took off running after the two.
What did he mean by first kill? Deadeye inquired mentally as he ran, a blur to people who saw. He went wide eyed as he realized their intentions.
They want to kill the Z-senshi, and more likely then not the RFCer’s as well…who’s closest?…Dragonett… Deadeye sped up and hopped over a fence with ease and then zanzokened his way up a fire escape and onto a roof. He looked around, Dragonett’s house was only twenty blocks away at the moment, a piece of cake to those two, he’d have to teleport if he was gonna beat them. He already knew they couldn’t sense mana discharge…
At Dragonett’s house…
Dragonett sat wearing a sports bra and sweatpants and watching Fear while Piccolo was upstairs meditating.
"Heheheh, chicken." She said as yet another one chickened out, it then split to a commercial and Dragonett got up to get a soda, suddenly out of nowhere Deadeye appeared out of thin air.
"DRAGONETTYOUHAVETOLISTENTOMETHEREARETWOWIERDMONSTERTHINGSCOMINGANDTHEYWANNAKILLUSALLSOWEGOTTAGETOUTOFHERENOW!" Deadeye said using only one breath.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!" Dragonett yelled then ki blasted him into the wall, then looked in surprise as she realized she’d just creamed a fellow RFCer.
"er…sorry…^_^()"
"…don’t worry, the pain is only part of the healing process…ow…" Deadeye groaned as he got back to his feet.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Dragonett asked.
"Wellyouseeiwasjustathomeenjoyingwatchingjackassandthesetwoguyswerefightinghockeystyleinapublicplaceanditwasreallyfunnybutanywaytheniheardaknockingonmydoorandtheniwenttoseewhatitwasandtherewerethesetwocellthingsandthentheyalmostkilledmebuttheyrevealedtheirplanandnowtheyarecomingafteryouandtherestofthezsenshiandrfcers!" Deadeye said, again all in one breath, ending with a mass inhalation of atmosphere (heheheh, technical term…-.-() )
"Er…so what should I look out for?" Dragonett said with an anime sweatdrop on her head. Deadeye fell over anime style. Suddenly the door swung open and the two strode in.
"THEM! THEY’RE HERE!" Deadeye said pointing, he got his sword out of the sheath on his back and started powering up.
"Hmm, seems we were a bit premature in acknowledging your demise…" Alpha said, eyes flaring up with green light. Piccolo heard the commotion and came downstairs.
"Hey what the hel is…going…on…?" Piccolo said ackworldly as he surveyed the scene. "Um, did I come at a bad time?" He continued with a large anime sweatdrop one his head.
"It also seems to be our lucky day Gamma, three in the time of one visit, destroy them all." Alpha said promptly then exited the room, Gamma began to power up as well.
"What the hell is going on?! I should’ve been able to sense the ki of these two before they even came in!" Piccolo retorted.
"Yeah I was just thinking that too." Dragonet agreed, then started powering up.
"They’re using some sort of cloaking technique." Deadeye said and then leaped at Gamma ready to slice him down the middle, Gamma grabbed Deadeye’s sword and easily flung him to the side, making him smash through several walls.
"Hey, why don’t we take this outside and try to minimize damage to my house!" Drgonett yelled, thoroughly pissed off.
"Okay." Gamma said promptle in a gruff voice then zanzokened into the front yard. Piccolo, Dragonett and Deadeye followed suit.
{Look, I can reason that if he could kick Deadeye’s ass so easily then he could take us down as well, our only hope is to create a distraction and then get the hell out of here.} Piccolo said telepathically to Dragonett.
{Well what do we use for a distraction?} Dragonett replied.
{Deadeye seems pissed enough to take him on solo, why don’t we make a get away after he starts fighting him?} Piccolo said with a smirk on his face.
{No way Piccolo, I’m not that stupid.} Deadeye butted in, Piccolo and Dragonett both anime sweatdropped.
{You never told us you can communicate telepathically!} Piccolo said.
{First of all, you never asked, secondly, if I can use telekenisis then it would be a logical judgement that I can communicate telepathically as well.} Deadeye said.
{I say we just hit him with a large ki blast and get the hell out of here while he’s dealing with it.} Dragonett suggested.
{Good idea, I’ll teleport us all away then we’ll keep our power levels low, they’ll be able to detect it other wise, and they can’t sense mana discharge.} Deadeye nodded, they all started powering up.
"Well well, looks as if the peons are going to put up a fight." Alpha said shrewdly and smirked.
What an idiot, he is intelligent enough but he doesn’t have powerful brainwaves…Deadeye thought confidently. The three fired a tremendous ki blast at Gamma, while Gamma was busy pushing it back Deadeye grabbed Piccolo and Dragonett’s arms and teleported them all away. After the light cleared Gamma let out a yell of anguish and Alpha began reasoning.
How did they do that?…The must be using some sort of energy besides ki, or else I would’ve sensed their movements…mana…NO! If the boy has mastery of two different types of energies he may be able to make the jump to a Perfect Sayjin! We can’t wait any longer…we must act NOW!
"Gamma, quit whining and follow me back to the lab, we must proceed immeidiately!" Alpha said then flew off with Gamma tagging behind.
Meanwhile…
Deadeye, Dragonett, and Piccolo watched the pair fly off from their hiding spot in an alley.
"Whew, that was close…look, you two find the other RFCers and Z-senshi and meet someplace. I’ll follow them, if I stick to mana they won’t sense me." Deadeye said then disappeared. The other two ran in the direction of Nixxie-Chan’s house. Deadeye reappeared on another rooftop and looked around using infravision, they were headed to the mountains, Deadeye disappeared and reappeared at another location, checked his location, then teleported again.
An hour later…
"I never anticipated this…" Alpha said grudingly as he landed in a canyon, meanwhile Deadeye made a final teleport to the top of the canyon and looked down. Alpha stood there for a time,
"Beta." Alpha said promptly, suddenly Alpha and Gamma were both consumed in green light and disappeared. Deadeye couldn’t teleport anymore, his mana energy was exhausted from all the teleportation, rather he jumped down to the bottom of the canyon and looked around.
Some kind of warp device… Deadeye stood in the exact same spot Alpha had stood.
"Beta." Deadeye said, then suddenly was engulfed by the same green light and saw nothing but the light until it disappeared revealing a laboratory like facility around him.
"…the hell?" Deadeye muttered as he looked around, he could hear voices in front of him and to his left. He stealthily creeped over to a door and listened.
"Gamma, they’ll surely be planning on tracking us, our cloaking devices were damaged in that blast. Guard the main entrance." Alpha’s voice said, Deadeye had a heart attack as he heard Gamma’s footsteps coming his way. He quickly made himself scarce behind a corner.
They’re cloaks were damged eh? Wonder why I didn’t sense it, I never really tried thoug… That means they should be able to track them here! Deadeye reasoned and smiled. He kept listening.
"Beta, once you are in there absorb any power you can find, once you’ve found all you can get back here." Alpha said.
"Of course…" Beta replied, so that was their genetic creation!
"You must go now, they’ll be coming so…" Alpha was cut off as the Z-senshi and RFCers came one by one through the portal and got in attack position.
"Don’t move or else we’ll ki blast you to hell!" Vegeta threatened.
"Really…seems Gamma finally met his match, but no matter, go ahead, kill me! You’ll never get Beta!" Alpha shouted in response. They all started powering up and Alpha pushed Beta into the portal.
"WAIT!" Deadeye yelled as he ran out from behind the corner and into the fray.
"Why should we?!" Vegeta barked.
"Because Beta was their plan, once he comes back we are all done for unless we do something!" Deadeye yelled back.
"Simple, we just blow up that portal!" Vegeta retorted.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You FOOL! You honestly don’t think I am that stupid do you?! Beta can make a jump from anywhere at anytime, the only way you’ll know he came back is if he kills you!!!" Alpha laughed mercilessly. "Sayjins are so stupid, except for that boy…" Alpha said, scowling at Deadeye.
"DO NOT INSULT ME PEON! The way I see it is that we have the superior position, and I say we kill him NOW!" Vegeta said, powering up.
"You wouldn’t dare…" Alpha said as his eyes reduced to narrow slits.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" Vegeta yelled as he continued to power up.
"NO VEGETA! You’ll bring down this entire place! And we need the portal YOU IDIOT!" Piccolo shouted.
"Don’t talk to me in that tone of voice namek!" Vegeta retorted, still powering up, suddenly a ki knocked him back into the wall. "WHAT?! (cough) WHO DARES!" Vegeta said, holding his nose which was bleeding profusely.
"I dare." Deadeye said as he walked towards Alpha, who had gotten a look of terror on his face.
"S…stay away!" Alpha said, backing up.
"Your afraid of me aren’t you? All those brains you say you have and still no way to protect it." Deadee said grimly, then when he was about five feet away he zanzokened in front of him with his sword drawn and pressed against his throat, ready to cut his vital appendage off at a seconds notice. "Now, tell me, how do you work this portal?" Deadeye asked.
"I’ll…n…NEVER TELL YOU! GACK!" Alpha chocked as the sword was pressed even harder, piercing the skin and causing purple blood to trickle down his neck.
"I’ll ask you again…how do you work this portal?"
"N…no…AGH!" Deadeye cut the sword in a little deeper and charged it with some ki, making it burn as well.
"One, more, time…how…do you…work…the portal? It’s not a hard question." Deadeye asked again.
"Fine…I don’t…(choke)…think it will…do you…any good…you will never…(choke)…beat…Beta…" Alpha squeeked, Deadeye let the sword up a bit and started to walk back towards the group.
"YOU FOOL!" Alpha screamed as he charged Deadeye, he got about a foot away then Deadeye calmly twirled around cutting Alpha right through the middle, his upper half fell to the ground and his legs stumbled a bit and fell down. "You think that will do you any good?! I can regenerate an infinite number of times!" Alpha said, his legs started to regenerate from the bottom of his torso.
"No…but this will." Deadeye said as he put his palm towards Beta, a blue field surrounded him. Alpha finished regenerating and tried to break through the field but didn’t have any luck, he was sealed in. "This field is made from mana, I can collapse it on you at any time, and I can cause you great pain, and there is nothing you can do about it. I’ve noticed you and your coworkers seem to be helpless against it." Deadeye said, smirking.
"ALRIGHT! Seems you’ve beat me at my own game…very well then…the portal was set to a certain universe, but I threw it off before you got in here." Alpha said dejectedly inside the mana field.
"Which dimension would that be?" Dragonett asked.
"How should I know? AAAHH!!!" Alpha yelped as a surge of electricity pulsed through the field, shocking him severely. "…it was…somewhere…called…sanctuary…" Alpha squeeked between deep breaths, trying to recover.
"I know that place…it’s on Diablo II." Deadeye said, looking over to the portal.
"Don’t get too encouraged now, time in one dimension differs from time in another, he could be long gone by now!" Alpha said in a burst of energy.
"Or he could just be getting there now." Deadeye retaliated, "But in any case we are probably going to have to look around." He continued, walking over to the portal, stopping in front of the stairs up to it. "You said Beta could get anywhere, anytime, how?"
"He has a device strapped to his wrist that enables him to make the jumps."
"And what would this device look like?" Deadeye asked, looking back at him, Alpha pointed to a table which held several devices that had straps so they would stay on the wrist.
"They’re called wrist jumpers." Alpha said.
"Alright then, I’m leaving." Deadeye said as he strapped one onto his wrist.
"Wait a second! If Gamma could total you like Dragonett said you told her he did, then Beta could do it just as easily!" Nix said.
"Well then who’s gonna help? Tell you what, I’ll go in first since I seem to be the one that knows that universe the best, anyone else who wants to come just get one and come in after me, Alpha, is there anyway we can communicate acrosse dimensions?" Deadeye asked, examining the wrist jumper.
"They double as communicators." Alpha replied, Deadeye spotted the buttons for communication on it.
"Well I guess I’ll be seeing ya!" Deadeye said as he put his sword in the sheath on his back and plunged into the portal with out a second thought…
(P.S. to all you RFCers out there, I left this part of the story rather open ended, if any of you wanna go through the portal, write a story about it k? I’ll be waiting! ^_^)
