DRAGONBALL ALTERNATIVE.UNIVERSAL.

THE BETA SAGA

Episode 2: Evil Seeks Destruction…

He couldn’t remember much after he entered, it was a flash of purple and green light, and then blackness…and now…

"aw…dammit…my head…" Deadeye groaned as he sat up, one hand rubbing the side of his head and the other propping him up. He looked around. He was in the middle of a small clearing among a forest, a thick one. After getting back to his feet he checked his person, wrist jumper was still on his wrist, sword still strapped to his back, everything in it’s proper place. He caught himself at almost admiring Alpha for making the portal. Suddenly, a sound to his left caught his attention, it was metal clanging against metal…

He crept over to his left and parted the shrubbery and beheld a battle, on a wide open field that seemingly went on for miles, near the center of what he could see was a mesa. But these details hardly were noticed, this battle was a primary concern.

And what a battle it was! Fireballs, streaks of lightning, undead warriors, both holy and unholy, blasts of magic energy, and at the center of all this was a mass of humanity and demons engaged in deadly combat. On one side, mages stuck to the back lines of the battle, and cast their magic into the demonic enemy ranks and healed their own men while on the front line stood noble paladins wielding sword and shield, fierce barbarians of the steppes wielding titanic axes, and necromancers of Rathma commanding their summons, held back the unholy forces.

On the other side, Fallen materialized seemingly out of nowhere. Clustering around their Shamans, they moved among the battle like platoons. Large ape like beasts lumbered around, finding targets and dispatching them only to be met with even more targets this time that fought back. Small batlike creatures seemingly only annoyed their enemies and large, muscle bound winged demons sat on the front line, hacking their way into the mob.

But then, among all the chaos, Deadeye spotted the most prominent figure of the entire unholy army. The mere sight sent a tingle up his spine, it was a lone figure, standing on the very back lines, wearing a very dark cloak, nothing showed of him but his eyes. These eyes glowed red as they watched the battle, they had joy within them for witnessing this destruction…Baal.

Suddenly this figure began to glow with fiery light, and a ring of fire spread out from him and into the battle, killing almost all. But while the humans merely died, more demons materialized to refuel his army, this was a battle the forces of light would not win. Unless…

"You fools, why do you still fight?! Can’t you see that my forces are infinite!" Came a harsh voice seemingly from everywhere over the battle field. Baal lifted up his arms, and several balls of flames emanated from them and landed on the ground, from these arose Hell Knights, who proceeded to utterly decimate the battle with their magic, only a few dozen of the forces of light yet remained. Baal let forth a hideous laugh, that brought dread to the remaining humans.

"Now you shall see, you’ve brought your loyalty to the wrong side!" Ball said, narrowing his blood red eyes to narrow slits. Suddenly, he sensed a presence behind him, he looked back to see a boy, who stood about six feet two inches, had brown hair, was wearing a jacket of assorted forest colors, green, brown, black, etc, was wielding a large sword which contained a slot down the middle separating it into two blades until it was at the hilt. Underneath his jacket (which was unbuttoned) he wore a white shirt. From his appearances (disregarding his exceptional height) He looked to be only about fifteen years of age.

"That’s enough Baal." The boy said, determination in his eyes.

"…AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! IS THIS IT?! IS THAT ALL THE FORCES OF HEAVEN HAVE TO SAVE THEIR WARRIORS?!" Baal shouted over to the remaining warriors, who now watched the confrontation.

"Move aside boy! You are not even worth my time! You…" He said as he pointed over to one of his Hell Knights, "Kill him." The Hell Knight moved to obey. It charged the boy, and brought it’s sword down for the deathblow but there was a clanging of metal as it hit the boys sword. It was forced back as he unleashed a blast of energy and tumbled to it’s feet, it got back up, only to be sliced in half. Baal looked back to see his minion had been destroyed, and in such a short time too. He smirked.

"Very good…you are more skilled then I at first thought…but no matter, I will have fun watching the rest of my Hell Knights kill you." He said sadistically, then nodded for the rest of his knights to move in. They obeyed, there were five. Two mages, and two warriors. They surrounded him and got into attack position.

"By the way, what is your name? I would like to look back on this day and remember the only person bold enough to stand up to me in person." Baal said, still smirking, the boy returned a stone hard stare.

"My name is Deadeye." He said promptly, a blue aura began to gather around him.

"Good God…what is happening?" Said one of the rogues as she released another arrow and fell another Fallen Shaman. "What in the world does that boy think he’s doing?! He’ll be killed!" He continued as he looked on in shock.

"Do not fear for him Paige, I sense this boy has more power with him then he lets us see…" Said a wise but gruff voice behind her, she looked back to see a barbarian holding a bronze colored giant axe and wearing a full plate armor.

"I hope you’re right…" She said, looking back toward the scene.

The Hell Knights moved closer, cautiously, they’d already seen one of their own slain with ease, and now they were getting even more discouraged as the blue aura totally encased Deadeye and had bolts of electricity dancing around the outside of it. Suddenly the aura burst with electric energy, sending a ring of lightning in all directions, killing the five knights. Baal looked with anger rising in him.

"Now it’s your turn…" Deadeye said, directing his attention back at Baal. Baal returned his cold hard stare.

"You think I am impressed? I have seen that task done before, many a time. You may be able to destroy my minions…BUT YOU WILL NEVER DESTROY DESTRUCTION ITSELF!!!" With that, Baal cast off his black robes and began to change, and grew into an enormous beast about ten feet tall, with a six legged, armored body and torso from which came a head with eyes which glowed crimson and arms ending in gigantic razor sharp claws. Baal let forth a howl and burst with energy as a fiery aura began to surround him, Deadeye’s feet were dug into the ground as the wave of energy hit him.

"NOW YOU WILL DIE!!!" Baal shouted as a ring of fire, much more powerful than the previous one, erupted around him and went in all directions in a fifteen foot tall wall. Deadeye’s blue aura turned into a fiery one as the wall passed over him, he was unhurt but physically drained of energy from holding the fire shield.

"WAHAHAHAHAHA!!! YOU SEE!!! YOU ARE NOTHING TO MY POWER!!! NOTHING!!!" Baal cackled, but then the blue aura disappeared, a golden aura began taking it’s place.

"If that is the extent of your power Baal, I suggest you surrender now." Deadeye said, as his hair began to float and flashed yellow once then went back to brown.

"NEVER!!!" Baal shouted as he gathered more energy into a fire ball then unleashed it on Deadeye in a powerful beam.

"YYYYYIIIIEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" Deadeye yelled as a tremendous explosion of ki caused the ground around him to crack and quake, his hair stood seemingly on end a turned yellow and his eyes turned from blue to green.

"KAAAAAAMEEEEEE HAAAAAMEEEE HAAAA!!!!" Deadeye shot a tremendous blast at the beam, causing it to part down the middle, but before it could hit Baal he recovered and brought even more of his dark power to the beam. Suddenly the ki blast disappeared the fire beam totally enveloped Deadeye, disintegrating him.

"BEHOLD!!! YOU HAVE LOST!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Baal laughed mercilessly and reverted back to his black figure cloaked form. He cast a stare at the remaining warriors.

"And now you shall perish as well…" Baal said coldly as fire began scorching the grass around him.

"HEY BAAL!!! I’M NOT DEAD YET!!!"

"WHAT?!" Baal said as he looked up and beheld Deadeye, flying at him at incredible speeds, and before he cold react he’d been cut in two down the middle.

"N…NOOOOOO!!!" Baal moaned as he fell to the ground, the body he’d possessed withered and disintegrated as he left it.

"QUICKLY! THROW ME THE SOUL STONE!" Deadeye yelled over to the warriors.

"…………I cannot believe my eyes…AxeTitan…did that boy just singe handedly defeat the Dark Lord of Destruction?" Paige said as she looked over.

"Yes…he did…and he knows what he must do now…" AxeTitan replied as he reached into a bag at his side and brought out a crystal. "This time, Baal shall not be contained within the body of a sorcerer, no one shall be damned to wrestle with him for eternity." Axe Titan continued as he brought back his hand and threw the stone a great distance, a smile of pure joy gracing his face, the remaining warriors began to shout out in celebration. Paige watched as the boy caught the soulstone, then held it up into the air as it began to glow intensely.

"NO!!! I SHALL NOT BE TRAPPED IN THE CURSED CRYSTAL! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

Light began to swirl and dance around the crystal as a beam of light entered it. Deadeye lowered the hand the soulstone was in to his side, and began to walk over to the warriors, Axe Titan stepped forward to greet him.

"Greetings blessed one, my name is Anchar Gitag which translates to Axe Titan in your language." Axe Titan said warmly as he shook Deadeye’s hand. Deadeye looked down at the giant axe he was holding.

"I can see why." Deadeye said with a smirk, Axe Titan chuckled.

"And what might your name be? I am eager to know the name of the one who single handedly defeated Baal so that I may brag that I shook his hand." Axe Titan asked, returning the axe to a holder on his back.

"My name? Um, it’s, Deadeye." Deadeye replied, not sure what they would make of his name.

"Hmm, I have never heard of that name before…" Axe said contemplatively, looking him over. "And your clothes are also odd…"

"Well, I’m not uh, from around here." Deadeye replied, with a large anime sweatdrop on his head.

"Ah well, now isn’t the time to discuss this sort of thing." Axe said as he turned around and walked toward the rest of the warriors, motioning for Deadeye to follow. But Deadeye did not see this action as he was looking back towards the battle field contemplating.

How did I beat him? Ki should’ve lost to mana…

"What troubles you Deadeye?" Axe said behind him, Deadeye snapped back to reality and turned around.

"It’s just that…where I come from…the kind of magic you use, mana, would beat out the kind of magic I use, it’s called ki. And just now I beat him using ki, and I don’t know why." Deadeye replied, returning his gaze to the battle sight.

"Hmm, an interesting point." Axe said. After a brief pause he spoke again, "Maybe since this ki you speak of is a dominant magic where you come from, it is weak against mana, maybe the exact opposite applies here since mana is the dominant magic."

"…I never thought of that before…" Deadeye said, a new problem entering his mind, how many different types of magic in the universes was there? Would ki and mana be enough to counter them all? He shook his head, pushing these thoughts aside for later contemplation, right now he had a bigger problem to deal with. Beat was here somewhere, no doubt he’d heard of the Lord of Destruction’s power and was hot on it’s trail as they spoke. But Baal was now imprisoned in a soul stone, that’d make it a lot easier to keep track of.

But there were so many powerful people in this universe! Wizards, Necromancers, Warriors…and they all had tremendous powers in one area or another……no……no…Beta wouldn’t waste his time with small time stuff, he knew they were after him and he would most likely go for the biggest source he could find right off, and if he got to the soulstone……God, don’t let that happen. Who knows what kind of power Beta might gain?

"Deadeye, you’d best give me the soulstone now." Axe said, extending his hand. Deadeye looked at him, and then shook his head.

"I’m afraid I can’t do that." Deadeye said morbidly, then tucked the soulstone into his inner coat pocket.

"I know you’re far more powerful than I, but it is essential that you give me the soulstone." Axe said, surprisingly patiently considering that a stranger had just slain Baal and was now not going to turn over his soulstone.

"I know your mission, you’ll take the soulstone to the Hellforge and destroy it." Deadeye said, still not moving to take it out of his coat.

"I see, so you are planning to do this on your own then? How do we know you are not one of Baal’s minions?! I say we kill him here and now and be done with it!" Axe turned around and then stepped aside to reveal the person who’d said that, it was a rogue, she was wearing a goldskin armor.

"Who the hell are you?" Deadeye said menacingly, eyes narrowing.

"This is Paige, she in charge of this certain group of rogues that has fought with us, she is a very formidable ally." Axe said, now glaring at Deadeye, was he hoping her presence would convince him to give them the soulstone?

"You don’t understand." Deadeye said, then walked between them, brushing them aside.

"GET BACK HERE BOY!" Paige shouted, Deadeye stopped and turned around.

"What is it?" He replied, with that Paige in seemingly an instant had grabbed an arrow from her quiver.

"PAIGE NO!!!" Axe said as he tried in vain to stop her, but she let the arrow go, straight at Deadeye’s head, it glowed with fire. Suddenly it stopped, midair, ceased it’s glowing and fell to the ground.

"ALRIGHT! If you won’t let me leave it at that then fine." Deadeye said in frustration.

"I don’t come from around here, I don’t come from another planet, I don’t even come from another galaxy, I come from another universe altogether and I’m here trying to save that universe. There is a being that was artificially created by two other beings, his name is Cell Beta, and he has a device that will let him travel to other universes, and absorb the power there as well, after that he plans to come back to my universe and take over with this newfound power. Fortunately for us we caught him just before he left, and his creators divulged information we could use to tail him." Deadeye said then paused, wondering if any of them had anything to say. They stared at him in disbelief.

"So you’re afraid that he’ll be able to take Baal’s power." Axe said, nodding his head.

"Exactly. But you see I’m not sure that me keeping it is even the best move, if what happened to me at the hands of one of his creators is within his capability, he’ll be able to do me in without a second thought and take the soulstone." Deadeye replied grimly, Paige looked shocked.

"If I am correct he uses this ki you talk of, and if he has a mastery of it surpassing your own then there is no one here to aid you." Axe said, almost sympathetically. Deadeye resumed analyzing the current situation while Axe and Paige conversed over the topic. If he took the soulstone out of this universe that meant that Beta would have to leave it to get it. But that was out of the question, unleashing Baal’s wrath on another universe just simply would not be right. His only option was to take it to the Hellforge and do away with it. The portal to the Pandemonium Fortress was in Kurast, where were they now?

"How far away from Kurast are we?" Deadeye said, interrupting Paige and Axe Titan.

"Well…I suppose we could get there in about a week of hard travel." Axe replied, pausing to estimate the distance.

"That’s too long, I need to get there as soon as possible."

"Well, the waypoints were reopened in the second war between humanity and Diablo." Paige said, stepping forward.

"Really?! Where’s the nearest one?" Deadeye asked urgently.

"Hold on a minute, we’re not letting you go alone." Paige replied harshly. "I shall send my best Rogue with you."

"And I shall accompany you myself." Axe offered.

"No…Beta would kill you in an instant." Deadeye said, shaking his head.

"I cannot let one person take on the entire quest, I am going with you." Axe replied, more sharply this time.

"Suit yourself, if you die it’s no skin off my back." Deadeye said, hiding his worries.

The morning of the next day…

The darkness around consumed the landscape, but on the top of the mesa, a small point of light appeared and began to grow. After an hour, it shone brightly, giving small amounts of light to the scenery until finally the sun rose over the mesa and illuminated the morning. Deadeye stood there, the soulstone glowing a dark crimson in his hands, it felt cold and deathly in his hands, and he quickly stashed it back in his coat. His sword was already strapped to his back in it’s sheath. He was ready to go, the nearest waypoint was to the southeast, about 50 miles, it would be a hard trek for a human but a super sayjin would be able to make it no problem.

"Good bye, I’ll rid this world of it’s last bit of evil and be done with it." Deadeye muttered to himself as he powered up, a golden ki field surrounding him. He jumped into the air and took off. Meanwhile Axe Titan looked out from his tent and saw the fireball of ki jet away at incredible speeds. Rather than jumping from his tent and calling after him he simply watched on as he became a dot on the horizon. There was nothing he could do…

He spotted the blue flames of the waypoint in the distance, he’d been flying for about half an hour. He landed, his ki field dissipating, in front of the waypoint and prepared to step in when…

"Aah, so you are the one that nearly destroyed us…"

Deadeye tensed up, that voice sounded exactly like that of Cell’s, he drew his sword and twirled around in a movement that took less than a second. Before him stood Cell…but it wasn’t Cell…it was Beta. Beta looked like Cell in his perfect form, right down to the profile and coloring, but with one difference, his eyes glowed a hideous red, rather than the purple Cell’s had been.

"Good to see your remember me, and so happy about it too…" Beta said, then laughed, exactly like Cell would’ve.

"After that kid blasted me I thought I was finished, but then I awoke one day, and beheld a weaker version of myself smiling down at me." Beta said, smirking. Evidently, rather than being a new Cell, he had the exact same consciousness as the original.

"And now that you’ve captured all the power I need from this world for me, I’ll take it now." Beta said, and began walking forward. Deadeye powered up, the ground around him began to quake and crack, his hair grew taller, and the one of the locks of hair that usually was down over his face flew up leaving only the other, in other words he transformed into a Super Sayjin level two.

"Ah, good, I was looking forward to a warm up fight." Beta said, pounding his fist into his other palm, and continued advancing. "aah, to have physical shape again, this is going to be better than pounding that arrogant Vegeta into submission."

Sweat began to bead on Deadeye’s forehead, what would he do? He couldn’t stand and fight, his only choice was to get out of there. He began to step backward onto the waypoint but in an instant Beta had darted forward and grabbed him around the neck, he stood there, tightening his grip, staring at him with those blood red eyes, and then threw him over his shoulder. Deadeye slid across the ground, creating a ditch about 30 feet long, he got back to his feet, sword at the ready. Beta turned around.

"Oh, and you’re invited not to think of me as Cell Beta, that is not who I am, I am Cell, I have always been Cell, I will always be Cell." He said, then fired a ki blast at him. Deadeye zanzokened out of the way then charged, he brought down his sword right on Cell’s shoulder………Cell appeared unscathed, and when Deadeye brought his sword back up he saw that the top of the front blade had shattered. He jumped back and sheathed it, then got into a fighting stance.

"By the way, don’t even think about running." Cell said, aiming his open palm at the waypoint.

"NOO!!!" Deadeye yelled in vain as a ki blast totally destroyed it. There was no other choice…………he would have to die fighting. Cell was then on him in an instant, suddenly appearing in front of him and kicking him in the head, sending him spinning through the air, but he managed to recover and narrowly missed a punch then appeared behind Cell and kneed him in the back then grabbed one of his wings and threw him over his shoulder, sending him flying into a large rock formation. Cell got back to his feet like nothing had happened.

"HHHHHHHHHYYYYYIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Deadeye screamed, forming an enormous ki in his hands. Cell looked on, undeterred. Suddenly Deadeye surprised him, an aura of mana surrounded him, and combined with his ki field turning it green. Cell suddenly backed up in terror.

"KAAAAAAAAAMMMMEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAMMMMEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!" With that Deadeye unleashed an enormous blast of green energy, Cell fired his own beam back, fear on his face, it increased as his beam was cancelled out and he was engulfed by the blast. It sent him flying into the sky until a massive explosion cast light all on the surrounding area. Deadeye stood there looking up and breathing heavily. His body was now wracked with exhaustion, he’d put everything he had into that single blast, both his ki and mana. But he still sensed Cell’s energy level, it was significantly lower now though, enough that if his mana should recover fast enough he’d be able to teleport away without being seen and find another waypoint. But at the moment he was barely able to maintain his balance.

The green energy surrounded him, his entire body burned. Finally the green light went away. He looked at himself, pain wracked his body all over, his own purple blood covered him, his legs were blasted off and only a stub of one arm remained, his wings were gone and his head half blasted off. He couldn’t help but recall the situation with Gohan those years ago. He started concentrating on regenerating. Soon he could feel his cells beginning the namekian regeneration process, and shortly after his missing limbs shot out along with his wings and crown. He looked down, and sensed Deadeye’s power was almost nothing. He had time to ponder what he should do next, Alpha had told him of this.

If he keeps on this track he’ll realize…he’s too close already…I must take him out NOW! Cell thought, clenching his fist and powering up, but then he looked down again, Deadeye was gone.

He fell to the ground by the waypoint, he couldn’t even stand up, but Cell wouldn’t be able to sense him. He dragged himself over the waypoint and watched as the two blue torches lit. He thought of the Kurast Docks, and closed his eyes. The last thing he felt was a warm tingly sensation, and then humid air surrounded him as he fell into unconsciousness…

Darkness…nothing but darkness…then a pair of fiery red eyes. A hand reached out and grabbed his throat, lifting him off his feet. Another hand opened in front of his face, and then gathered ki. There was a tremendous explosion and all was white…

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!" Deadeye shot upright. Cold sweat on his face. He looked around, he was sitting in a bed. To his left was a table on which was some sort of bottle, half filled with a clear red liquid. Above the table was a window, outside was swamp. His camo coat lay folded on the ground by the table, and his sword was nowhere to be seen. He was in some sort of hut, in front of him was a door, outside was a path leading to a stone temple beside which was an altar with a floating knife suspended in a blue field above it. It was the Gidbin…he was in Kurast.

"Well, glad to see you’re alright." Said a woman’s voice to his right. He turned his head and saw a woman with long black hair wearing a tunic and skirt. She walked towards him then knelt beside his bed.

"How are you feeling?" She asked.

"Um…I’m…alright…" He managed to reply.

"Good, seems the healing potion worked after all. At first it didn’t seem to have any effect." She said.

"Um, where’s my sword?" He asked, looking around him.

"It was taken to the blacksmith’s to be repaired, I must say it is a very impressive weapon, a barbarian who was staying here was needed to haul it to the blacksmith’s." She said.

"I have to get out of here…now." He replied after a pause, then got up from his bed and grabbed his coat.

"Well, you seem to be in fine condition to." She said, getting back to her feet. He searched his inner pocket on his coat and felt the soulstone still there, he sighed with relief and put it on, then walked out, the woman following him. A few curious people stared at him as he went past, he stood now at the temple, he turned to face her.

"Where’s the blacksmith’s?" He asked, she pointed to a catwalk coming out of the water which led to it, he walked over there in quick strides. The blacksmith looked happy to see him.

"Aha, here is the young man that brought the mighty weapon!" He said warmly.

"I’d like it back now." He said promptly.

"Very well, I’m satisfied by repairing it." He replied then went into his hut, he came out moments later, struggling to hold the sword as he made his way to Deadeye and place the hilt in his hand, he looked in awe as Deadeye swung it around in his one hand, testing the balance.

"Umm……here is the sheath." He said, still staring at him while giving him the sheath, Deadeye strapped it to his back and put his sword back in it, he was ready to go.

"Where might you be going?" The woman asked him, apparently she’d followed him some more.

"The waypoint at the temple." He said and walked off briskly. He was there in minutes and standing between the two blue torches.

"You still haven’t told me where you’re going!" She asked again, some hint of worry in her voice.

"To The Durance of Hate." He said, and concentrated it on it, the same sensation began to happen.

"WHAT!? WAI…" She couldn’t finish before he disappeared…

Humid, the smell of death and decay lingered in the air. Bodies were hung on the walls, pools of blood with body parts floating among them dotted here and there. It was a disturbing sight, Deadeye felt sick to his stomach as he drew his sword and stepped off the waypoint. He heard a whooshing sound behind him and whirled around, to see three Mage Knights standing there.

"We’re glad we got here in time." Said the front most of them, he was carrying several extra pieces of armor besides the one’s he was wearing, he handed them to Deadeye.

"What are you doing here?" Deadeye asked as he took the pieces of armor, looking them over, there was a helm, a chestplate, two fingerless gold gauntlets, and a pair of shoulder armor.

"Klana told us of your sudden departure. We decided to follow you." Replied the leader. Deadeye sheathed his sword and slipped on the gauntlets and shoulder armor. Then handed the chest plate and helm back.

"I won’t be needing these two, or your help." Deadeye said, then took out his sword again.

"We’re here to bring you back young one." Replied the leader. "Why are you here in the first place?"

"Why?" Deadeye repeated, then reached into his coat and brought out the soulstone, still glowing crimson, they gasped in surprise. "To get rid of this, I’m headed to the infernal gate." He continued, then walked away, the other’s followed.

"Are you insane?! Give me that soulstone! We’ll take care of this!" The leader persisted, Deadeye stashed the stone back in his coat.

"I assure that I can dispose of this in a more timely matter than you would be able to." He replied, still walking, he found the entrance into the main room. The Infernal Gate glowed on a platform among the blood pool. He walked to the end of a outcropping of stone and stood there.

"That’s it! Get back here!" The leader shouted, and was about to grab him when Deadeye jumped across the gap and landed on the platform with ease. He looked back.

"The fate of Baal is in good hands, I assure you he will bother you no more." Deadeye said, then turned to face the portal, it glowed a black light, the faces of damned souls reflected in it, with a burst of courage, Deadeye stepped through...

Klana paced in her hut, worried, although that boy looked physically able, she was still worried. She looked out her window at the swamp. Then was startled as she heard a scream outside and ran to see a shadowy figure standing at the docks, eyes glowing blood red.

"Alright, anyone who gives me information on where Deadeye is will be spared a long painful death in favor of a short painless one." Said the figure, it stepped forward into the light, it was about six feet five inches in height, and was covered in a green armor with black spots all over it.

"…IT’S A DEMON!!! DIE!!!" Said a Mage Knight as he courageously charged, but to no avail. The thing had him by the neck, and squeezed, severing his head from his body and then shaking the blood off of his hand.

"Let him serve as an example. My name is Cell…and I am not a demon, but I will likewise cause you agony. Now where is he?" He asked again, harshly. Klana stepped forward, a fiery energy surrounding her.

"Now what?" Cell snapped, his eyes flaring. Suddenly, Klana shot an enormous ball of fire at him that exploded on impact. She looked on hopefully, but when the flames cleared he stood there, unharmed.

"Now that you’ve gotten that out of your system would you just tell me where he is?" Cell said, voice rising in anger, but Klana wouldn’t give up yet, she brought her hand up above her head, it glowed red, then she brought it down in a motion and pointed straight at Cell. He looked down to see small rings of fire emanating from below him, and then looked up to see an enormous meteor bearing down on him, he held up his hand and easily caught it, then threw it at twice the speed back at Klana, she was killed instantly…

He walked forward, this place was likewise disturbing, and hot, very hot, he walked along a pathway among a sea of lava from which rose and fall tortured souls, crying out for help from their hideous fate. He saw it ahead, surrounded by a circle of pillars, the Hellforge. He once again drew out the soulstone from his coat and looked at it, it felt deathly cold in hand, and now pulsed with even brighter crimson light, Baal was struggling to get out more than ever, he knew he was about to be taken out of the picture forever. Deadeye stepped up to the Hellforge and placed the stone on it. He looked around, and spotted the Hellforge Hammer lying on the ground next to him, once used to destroy the soulstone of Mephisto, the Dark Lord of Hatred.

Deadeye raised the hammer above it. And at the exact same moment Cell appeared in front of him and above him looking down wide eyed.

"No…my power…you wouldn’t!" Cell said desperately. Deadeye smirked, and brought the hammer down…

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deadeye was thrown back as the stone shattered, it hit with a force that sent both of them reeling, Deadeye covered his eyes from the light as it escaped from the stone and dissipated. Cell looked on in horror as he got back to his feet…anger consumed him, his eyes glowed bright, bright red and focused on Deadeye, he would pay for this with his life…and his soul would be damned to hell!

"THAT WAS A WRONG MOVE!!! NOW YOU WILL DIE!!!" Cell shouted with absolute all consuming rage, powering up involuntarily to incredible levels.

"Cell…you lose again…" Deadeye said, then removed the gauntlet from his right hand, revealing the small wrist jumper. Cell stared…ready to jump and wring his throat at a seconds notice, and with a burst of speed he was in the air. His hands were millimeters away from strangling Deadeye when he disappeared in a flash of green and purple light…
