Pruts Adoptions
"Welcome, welcome to my home dear visitor!" a woman with short black hair shouts at you as you approach her house. She almost drags you in, leaves you on a chair and starts moving stuff around and gathering cups and spoons for what appears to be afternoon tea.
"So, I bet you're here for the prutses."
"Eh? No, I got lost and needed a ... Aaaah!"
"What? What?" Loren asks as she turns around.
"Something bit my leg!" you call out.
Loren fearlessly crouches and soon stands up again, culprit in hand, you are surprised to see what looks like the cross between a rodent and a monkey, completed with bat wings. The thing is about the size of your hand and making noises as if the world is going to end.
"Ratze shush! I told you to not attack the visitors anymore." with an apologetic smile, the woman sits down again and says, "I apologise for ratze, he's rather energetic, but real sweet once he gets to know you. Say, I've got a wonderful idea... why don't you try befriending one fo your own. I've got a litter just out in the back..."
"Eh, really, I just wanted to spend the night somewhere, do you know an inn or something I could st..."
"No, no, Just stay here, i've got an extra room. Now come with, i really need to show you these little babies, they're so cute, you just wouldn't believe..."
You sigh and wonder if you'll leave this place emptyhanded as you came and as you hope you will...

Info: Pruts' are small, furry rodents with two sets of ears, standing high on their head. Each large round ear can be moved seperate from the three others giving it an almost perfect suround sound hearing. Prutses walk on four legs, which end in paws that resemble a hand with four fingers and a thumb. This makes them agile climbers, which is of great use to them in their forest habitats. Prutses also have a set of bat-like wings on their back that they cannot fly use for flight, but in stead use to camouflage themselves against the trunk of trees. Lastly they have a long agile tail that can support their body weigth if necessary.
A pruts female can have a litter of 4 to 10 pups twice a year. About half of those fall victim to larger animals that hunt them before they reach adulthood at 4 months of age. A common Pruts can become 4-6 years in age before it dies.
Note: they are not wearing earrings, it's a tag that keeps track of ownership.
