Contrary to popular belief, rabbits are not rodents. They are Lagomorphs. Others in this category include hares and pikas. In fact, rabbits are actually more closely related to horses than they are to mice. Rabbits and horses share similarities in their diet and in their method of digesting food.

@A group of rabbits is called a herd, and they live in a warren.

@Rabbits have 28 teeth in all. These include:

@Four incisors

   -two on the top

   -two on the bottom

@Right behind the top incisor teeth are two small peg-like teeth called auxiliary incisors   or "peg teeth.”

@Cheek teeth are used to grind their food.

   -6 upper premolars

   -4 lower premolars

   -6 upper molars

             -6 lower molars.

@Rabbits are not nocturnal, they are "crepuscular", meaning they are most active in the twilight hours of both sunrise and sunset.

@Rabbits are physically incapable of vomiting. This is the main reason why blockages in the system are so dangerous.
