DRUIDLANDS: CHARACTERS:

BLYTHE AMBERBOCK - (Fighter/Thief)

Blythe Amberbock is from Nestle, a small village about 100 miles northeast from Shadowdale. The village is tucked in the hills, hidden among it's trees and streams. There are about 35 halflings that populate the village.

Blythe is 35 years old and has only known peace in his village. His father, Brandon, and mother, Marrisa, are still alive. Brandon was an adventurer in his younger days, which is where Blythe learned his fighting skills. Blythe's Uncle Tanz used to be a "trader & traveler", and taught him the ways of "acquiring" things. The family is retired from these professions, and currently have a farm, raising mainly goats and sheep.

Blythe was never very good at farming and spent most of his time listening to stories from the village elder, Lox. He told him grand stories of far off places, people, monsters, palaces, cities and grand treature troves. Blythe was also an avid swimmer and wanderer of the surrounding forest, hills and caves, always pretending to be a hero of some sort. He never was one to take everyday life too seriously.

Blythe is also very close to his mother, who taught him to cook.

The Amberbock family stands out in the village, not to mention among halflings in general. The family all have very dark complexions, almost ebony in color, with blond hair. There are many rumors, even among the family, that there might be some dwarf (or some type of mix) in the ancestry. Brandon and Marrisa were childhood sweethearts and orphans raised by Tanz's family of (regular) Halfling/stout.

Also, Brandon and his son, Blythe, are extremely strong and well-developed (when it comes to halfling standards). They are both very muscular in appearance. They have quite a bit of facial hair as well, with full thick beards.

Blythe is a free spirit, very easy-going and down to Toril. Half the time he has a smile on his face, the other half of the time he's somewhere else other than in the present (daydreaming). He welcomes the chance to meet new people, and is very accepting of differences. He is also very loyal to friends and family. He doesn't know his own potential for he has never seen battle, unless you count wrestling a cantankerous goat. He has never even lost his temper, unless you count the time he fell out of the barn loft when his Uncle Tanz scared him.

Blythe seeks adventure, fame and treasure (for nothing should go unused, should it?).
