Cheese and Sausage Bake
This is quite like toad in the hole, actually, very easy to make. Don't try it if you have any sort of dairy products intolerance, though!
Ingredients
For each person:
1 Egg
2 sausages
50 grams cheese
30 mls milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to gas mark 4 or 180 degrees C
- Put sausages in an ovenproof dish and place in the oven until they are cooked. Depending on what type of sausages you get, you maybe should prick them with a fork so they don't burst. But maybe you like burst sausages, I don't know! This cooking should take approximately thirty minutes.
- Meanwhile grate cheese into a bowl and add the eggs, milk and seasonings.
- Beat everything well together. (In the bowl, that is, not including passing children, teddy bears, husbands...)
- When sausages are ready, pour the mixture over and put it back in the oven until the custardy mixture has risen, set and become golden brown.
You can also put in bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms. This is quite a versatile dish, basically you can put in almost whatever you like and it should still taste good!
