When I was out joining various webrings at Webring.com I came to a bit of an impasse when it came to religious webrings. Now, as you know, I'm not a Christian, and I'm not really anything else yet either. Basically, I'm "searching". I looked around, but couldn't really see any webrings which I could join which would link me with people like myself, people who haven't found a religion which suits, or they think is true, but who aren't atheists either. I wanted to join a ring which would connect me with people on a spiritual journey, investigating different faiths, and writing about that on their websites. I couldn't find one, so I set one up myself!
So this is my invitation to you - if you have a website, and that website contains at least one page on your spiritual journey, then you can join.
The Rules
You have to have a website.(duh)
You must be willing to put the navigation code on that website - people have to be able to move around the webring, otherwise whats the point of having it!
The url you give for your site must be the url where you will put the navigation code.
Your site must contain at least one page where you detail your spiritual journey. It does not matter if you have finally decided on your religion/faith, but you must have a page dealing with your journey to that faith.
You don't necessarily have to have written an article/essay on your search, poetry or other media are fine.
Your site must not contain hatred of other religions, sexism, homophobia, racism or be any other form of hate site. I accept that if you, say, become a Christian, then you will believe that any other religion is wrong - however, there are ways of saying that which are not offensive to others. I'll be the final arbiter on whether your site is a hate site, I'm afraid! (However, chances are, if you are joining this webring, where you may be linked to people pursuing varying paths, including experimentation with paganism etc, then you are not likely to be running a hate site)
No pornographic sites, "adult" or whatever. The only exception is sites which contain art - as in using a paintbrush-type art - which contains tasteful nudity intended for the purposes of art and not for the purposes that adult sites use nudes for.
No sites containing illegal material, stolen copyrights, warez, showing how to hack into things, that sort of site.
