Accountability To bring accountability and
transparency to child welfare across Canada. Goals To
fulfill our mandate we will publish complaints against child welfare
authorities which have been submitted to us along with their outcome
for the purpose of public education regarding the complaint processes. Our Philosophy
on Accountability Section fourty-five, Subsection eight [ 45(8) ] of the Child and Family Services Act states that; "No person shall publish or make public information that has the effect of identifying a child who is a witness at or a participant in a hearing or the subject of a proceeding, or the child’s parent or foster parent or a member of the child’s family" As a result of this legal restriction we are unable to identify the complainant in each case. For this reason, we will replace client's name with an alias or filler. If you would like to contact the client in each case for the purpose of an interview or to provide support and assistance contact us and we will make arrangements to meet in person.
