APPENDIX D LODGE PROGRAMS FALL BANQUET Spring Banquet no longer exists. First Saturday in October. The Fall Banquet is to be held in the Marquette area for travel purposes. A Scoutmaster and his Senior Patrol Leader from each troop in the Council will be invited to attend our banquet. The banquet will have a Camp Promotion theme and will better serve AG-IM lodge's need from improved camp promotions. The responsibility for planning and cooking at the Fall Banquet will rotate in alphabetic order starting with Chippewa Chapter. The Distinguished Service Awards and Founders will also be presented at the Fall Banquet. The Fall Banquet will be held in conjuction with the Council Banquet. SPRING CONCLAVE (Camp Hiawatha) At this event we conduct the Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil Honor ceremonies. Every endeavor will be made to complete as much of camp setup as possible at this event. This is a weekend of work, fellowship, and ceremony. Date will usually be a week or two before the opening of Summer Camp. WINTER FUN WEEKEND (Camp Hiawatha) The Summer Fun Weekend no longer exists. It has been changed to the Winter Fun Weekend. There is no work at this event only fun and fellowship. It will be located at Camp Hiawatha and will be the first weekend in March. The annual snowshoe softball games will take place at this event. FALL CONCLAVE (Camp Hiawatha) The remaining Ordeal and Brotherhood candidates are inducted on this weekend. In cases of extenuating circumstances a Vigil candidate may be allowed to complete his Vigil during this event. Camp development projects may be worked on if time permits. Camp shut down items will be completed at this time. It is a weekend of work, fellowship, and ceremony. The date will be a weekend immediately following closing of Camp Hiawatha for the year if possible. Elections for the following years officers will take place this weekend. Committee chairmen appointments will be made by the new Lodge Chief. New officers will take over on October 1 of that year. SECTION CONFERENCE (Host Lodge's Camp) At this event Section C-2B conducts a weekend offellowship and learning at a Scout Camp of the host Lodge. Each year a different Lodge hosts this event. A section meeting is held to elect its officers for the upcoming year, and final selection is made concerning the next years host lodge and area for the conference. WINTER CONFERENCE (CHRISTMAS) (Host Chapter's accommodations) A weekend of fun and learning held by a host chapter. The chapter provides the agenda and facilities for this weekend where we name our Vigil Honor candidates, train our unit elections and camp promotions teams, and compete in our traditional inter-lodge (chapter) championships. Membership lists will be updated at this time and rechartering will be completed. Committee meetings will be held during this event to finalize plans for the coming events and activities. The date for this event will be the second or third weekend in December so that there is no conflict with Christmas vacations and travel by members. APPENDIX E FIVE SEGMENT PATCH 1. A five segment patch has been adopted to replace the individual patches for each function. 2. The segments will be Spring Conclave, Winter Fun Weekend, Fall Conclave, Winter Conference, and a center segment that will be given to the member after attending two events in that year. 3. The price of the patch will be incorporated into the price of each event. 4. A post-registration fee of $3.00 for each event shall be levied each member who is unable to attend, but would like a segment for that event. 5. The designer of the five segment patch receives free registration for one year. |
