Rifle Team
The Pride Rifle Team is one of the best in the state of Texas. With countless trophies. The Rifle Team fires the a brand of rifles called Walther. Recently the Rifle Team has been invited to the Fiesta Skills
Meet. Every member of the Rifle team shoots Expert. We use Texas A&M Kingsville rifle range for practice on Monday and Wednesday after school until 5:30.
Sabre Guard
Sabre Guard is an honor gaurd that honors individuals in
accordance with the stadard manual of arms. The Sabre Guard honors individuals at NHS inductions, veterans, or just honored individuals
Drill Team
The newest addition to the group of JROTC is the newly formed Armed Drill Team. The drill team does manual drill out of field manual 22-5 and exhibition drill. The drill team perform with M-1 Garand Rifles. The drill team will not start competitions until next school year.
Color Guard
Color Guard is a squad of 4-5 cadets who post colors at ceremonies and stand inspection and performance at skills meets. The color guard consist of two gaurds and 2 flags, the US & Texas. At school events the unit colors are carried. Recently our color guard presented colors at the San Antonio Spurs game.
