formerly new...

Items from the previous year (2003) can now be found in the Formerly New Archive. Not that I actually expect anyone to care except me. ;-)

Items from 2004:

  • 01 Jan 04 - Added a new knot to the pictures page.
  • 08 Jan - Added another new knot to the pictures page. Starting to get very antsy about not writing; hopefully the next thing to be added will be at least a drabble!
  • 14 Jan - A Matter of Choice, Jim/Blair drabble on "beginnings." It's good to write something, even if it's little and suckish, after weeks away from it!
  • 22 Jan - Caught up a bit. Added the first two parts of my new Jim/Blair pseudo-series (connected challenge responses), New Beginnings, on its own page. Added a 275-worder on "old," The Look (Jim/Blair).
  • 26 Jan - Added third part of the New Beginnings "series," in answer to the sentinel_thurs challenge of "favorite villain." Moved the 2003 "formerly new" items to an archive page. (Wow, exciting. ;-) )
  • 04 Feb - Something of a shake-up for me. In addition to putting up a TS drabble, Hypocrite, I've taken down a number of things I wasn't maintaining and I'm sure no one will miss. :-) My "Sounds" page and my recs pages for BtVS and Voyager that didn't actually have any recs on them are gone, to return only if I will keep them updated, which seems unlikely. I've also updated the text on the fandom page to reflect actual content and current writing & rec'ing status. Next on the to-be-overhauled list: fixing my freakish file structure...
  • 05 Feb - Added fourth part of the New Beginnings "series," in answer to the sentinel_thurs challenge of "moral dilemma."
  • 18 Feb - Added, late, the fifth part of the New Beginnings "series," in answer to the sentinel_thurs challenge of "crossed wires." Added, on time, a 696-word piece, Anything, in response to the sentinel_thurs challenge of a birthday-related fic possibly incorporating kink. Happy Birthday, Terri. :-)
  • 24 Feb - Added a drabble-and-a-quarter, challenge "elements," in honor of my brain, which is resembling the orange jelly filling of a Pim's biscuit this week: Sneezium. Yeah, really. ;-) Hey, I'm laughing -- then again, I have a brain like jelly right now. ;-)
  • 02 Mar - Added a 440-word fluffy, dialog-only, first-time ficlet, Old Married Couple, in response to the "domesticity" challenge. I'm ill, and therefore not responsible. :-)
  • 30 Mar - Wow! Been a crazily busy month, and now at the end of it I've finally caught up with 4 new Sentinel pieces (Changes, Partners, Sensory Perception, and Part Six of New Beginnings) and a complete site rework. All words now. Wordy wordy wordy. :-)
  • 12 Apr - Added, late, a 455-word piece, theme of hurt/comfort, Fixing Things. Added, on time, a 662-word piece, theme of honesty/lies, Hidden Truths. At this point I guess if I don't mention a fandom, assume Sentinel. :-)
  • 26 Apr - Added a 570-word piece, theme of photograph, Photographic Evidence. Also, linked to the newly-updated Sentinel Thursday archive a couple of days ago, I think...
  • 29 Apr - Well wasn't that a surprise -- some comments got me thinking and Jim continues the story from Photographic Evidence in a slightly modified and much extended version.
  • 05 May - Rather depressing but not horribly painful challenge response, theme of "crime scene": Destroying the Evidence (not related to Photographic Evidence despite having "Evidence" in the title... though that story might gain a sequel someday...)
  • 10 May - What's with the sequels lately, and the "evidence" titles? Residual Evidence is the >1000-word sequel to Destroying the Evidence, because I hate the boys to be unhappy... (sentinel_thurs theme of food)
  • 22 May - Catching up... previously added Lunch in the Sandburg Zone, a fairly lusty piece with the theme of food, and Monsoon Games, a fun piece with the theme of games, and today added Entry One, a kinda weird one with the theme of "journal." Man, it's getting crowded on the Sentinel page! Might try to restructure (again!) soon... Oh, and speaking of restructuring, I changed around some of the pictures above, because I changed my default LJ icon, and my new one happened to be the one I was using for the poetry link, so I stuck my lillies one there instead.
  • 17 June - Oh good grief, I'm so behind! Suffice it to say that there are a bunch of new TS pieces up -- go find 'em for yourself. ;-)
  • 26 June - Two new additions to New Beginnings, and a drabble-and-a-quarter on "grey areas," You Can Only Bend So Far.
  • 19 July - Wow, I've gotten really behind again! Enough Is Enough isn't even new anymore, Bird in the Hand is new to the site but was posted several weeks ago at sentinel_thurs, and Not Much of a Detective is honestly new today. :-) Themes: last straw, proverbs, and major crime, respectively.
  • 01 August - Added a new TS ficlet, For Your Own Good, on "losing control."
  • 12 August - Last week-ish, added a TS drabble, another on "losing control," Integration -- be careful of the sap! ;-) Today, added another typical (i.e., nothing happens) installment of New Beginnings -- part nine.
  • 29 August - I've gotten behind again, been adding stuff to the Sentinel page without noting it... new today, Stages, ~ 1775 words on "waking"; older, Something to Strive for and The Hidden Dangers of Fruit.
  • 01 Sep - It's a Joke, Right?, theme: hidden talent/secret hobby. Fun little thing, I hope. :-)
  • 10th Sep - Added to the TS page an icon/link to the LJ for the Sentinel Secrets secret fanfic writing contest. Sentinel fandom is living large on LJ!! :-)
  • 24th Sep - Have had a bit of a writing lull due to RL stuff, but have limped back with 2 small & incredibly different offerings: All Wet, theme: book, and Mutually Challenging, theme: challenge.
  • 16th Oct - Eek, behind again! 3 new pieces up, my Sentinel Secrets piece Happy Endings, and two sentinel_thurs pieces, The Doll (toys)and No Idea (stakeout).
  • 28th Oct - Belatedly put up two very short (both <300 words!) sentinel_thurs pieces: Damn Good Times (amnesia, but not really!) and Where's Sandburg? (first-line challenge).
  • 5th Nov - Put up my unexpectedly long answer to the sentinel_thurs Halloween challenge, Pumpkin Guts.
  • 31st Dec - So, so behind. Ill-Kept Secret and Hold the Sprinkles had been on the site & the TS index page, The Bet had been on the site but not indexed, and Lessons Finally Learned had been posted to sentinel_thurs but not made it to the site. Lame! I need a New Year's Resolution! :-) Oh, and added later on the 31st, Analogy As Olympic Sport, which was written months ago and left as a WIP until I decided I liked it as-is. What a house-cleaning! :-)
