I created this page during my final semester as an English Literature and Language major at the University of Southern California in 1996. These pages, consisting of an annotated edition of the The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot along with other information about the poet, are the culminating project of a Directed Research class (under the tutelage of Professor Robert J. Dilligan) entitled "Literary Research and Electronic Publishing." Though the class has long since ended, I hope to keep these pages online as long as possible.
The purpose of this page has been--and always will be--to give rudimentary knowledge of T.S. Eliot to those wishing to learn more about him. My target audience is school-age children in need of reference and information on T.S.E.--but of course, it is my wish that the page be for everyone. As a result, a bibliography of my sources is available, as are links to other Eliot and literature-related sites. I do not profess to be an Eliot "expert." My intent was always to show my respect and love of "Prufrock." Anyone wishing to engage me in esoteric, high-brow, "literary speak" criticism/arguments concerning T.S.E. should 1) go read Matthew Arnold and 2) soak their head...Eliot may have been elitist, but I am most certainly not.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time these days to update the pages, or answer your questions, as much as I would like to. (Who knew working 40 hours a week would take up so much time?) Thanks for your patience regarding outdated links, etc.

Thank you for visiting, and enjoy the rest of the Prufrock pages!
