Mission Statement
During the initial consultation, the client is provided an understanding of the various legal options, a preliminary opinion on the chances of success, the potential outcomes, and an estimate of case expenses expected to be incurred while pursuing the case. Of course, all cases must be investigated before a final decision may be made concerning whether or not the case should go forward. During the investigative stage, the Alexander Law Firm regularly keeps the client informed as information or facts are obtained. Communication is the first priority with the client and establishes a lasting relationship. Vision Statement
It is an Alexander Law Firm goal to inform each client what rights they have and the legal limits of each situation when confronted with a serious legal decision. Regardless of your desires or ultimate decision, an informed decision is always the best decision. Mr. Alexander has extensive experience counseling during difficult times such as the death or serious injury of an adult family member, child, spouse, other relative, or friend and during times of stressful employment actions or obstacles. The Firm litigates cases aggressively when that approach serves our clients' best interest; but we also make use of alternative dispute resolution processes when a less adversarial resolution of conflict is advisable and obtainable outside the courtroom. In so doing, our clients are able to avoid needless, protracted and expensive litigation.
Company
History Mr.
Alexander was the first attorney to successfully bring a lawsuit
against Gwinnett Place Mall of Duluth, Georgia for the negligent use
of security and the serious injury of a Mall patron which occurred in
November 1988. We were able to prove 109 prior assault injuries on
Mall property before the one of November 1988. The many instances of
prior similar crimes proved that Mall management had notice of the
serious problem then existing within the parking areas surrounding
Gwinnett Place Mall, but failed to take corrective action. Also, it
was discovered through an exhaustive investigation that Mall security
personnel had been involved in criminal activity in EMPLOYMENT AND LABOR LAW In the employment law area, Mr. Alexander has represented employees in such cases as promotional irregularities and overtime wage claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act. In the past, in this regard, Mr. Alexander has on one occasion successfully represented a class of forty-five plaintiffs in a claim under the Fair Labor Standards Act for unpaid overtime wages. This case was successfully resolved within approximately eighteen months. As well, Mr. Alexander has successfully represented a group of forty plaintiffs in a case involving promotional irregularities. Finally, the firm is active in the representation of public employees in terminations, disciplinary actions, and punitive job assignments and transfers. OUT OF STATE PRACTICE The Alexander Law Firm has handled many injury cases which occurred outside the state of Georgia. States of previous practice include Virginia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Flordia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
