I remember the excitement as I caught my first glimpse of the majestic Maroon Bells in Aspen, while winding up the park road. As we got closer, the purple-hewed sculptured towers rose up from their reflected image on the lake far below, framed by pines and quaking aspen groves that were showing their rich golden fall colors. I was awestruck by the beauty of what God had made and thankful that He created me with eyes to see it and the ability to appreciate His creative work.
When I think about all that the Lord has made, I am reminded of Paul's letter to the Church at Ephesus, where he proclaimed: For we are His (God's) workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
God had a good purpose in mind when He created us, and He will show us, guide us and equip us to accomplish His mission for our lives, if we only ask Him.
Jesus explained it to His disciples this way: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matthew 7:7-11
Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom Luke 12:32
King David, from personal experience wrote: They that seek the Lord, shall not lack any good thing. Psalm 34:10
God gives good things to his children and withholds those things that would be bad for us. He always knows and provides for what we need the most. This includes providing for the necessities of life, giving us Godly wisdom,
refining us, showing us his will for our lives, and equipping us with the talents, resources, and even the desire to follow after and complete the works He has planned for each of us.
Isn't it wonderful to know that God love us, provides for us, and has a special and important plan for each of us?
I pray that the Lord will bless you and provide abundantly for your needs, as you seek Him today.
