Chapter Three
Willow didn't know what was going on. Giles was standing in the doorway with a wand and it was pointed at Severuse Snape. *This is really bad.* Willow thought as Snape shoved her behind him.
*Sure leave it to him to play hero.* Willow thought as she saw Severus raise his wand at Giles. *Oh NO! They are gonna kill each other!*
"NO!!" Willow shouted jumping between them.
The two men never took their eyes off of each other. "Willow kindly remove yourself from between us." they stated at the same time in calm voices.
"That was pretty funny you two are like doublement twins or something. Are you gonna hurt each other?" Willow asked them.
"Yes." came the even replies.
"Then no, I will not move." Willow said as she looked back from Giles to Snape.
"In that case, FAITH! Come move Willow out of the way please?" Giles yelled into the hall.
The brunette slayer came bouncing into the room, and right up to Willow. She was in a pair of hip hugger pants that were her favorite color in the world, red. And she had on a sheer baby blue shirt that was over a black tanktop.
"Hey Red! Now why are you in the way of the G-Man and tall dark and ....whoa scary man over there?" Faith asked as she took in the sight of Severus Snape.
"Well let's see Faith ....Why am I in the way of them? Hmm......Why.....Oh YEAH! THEY WANT TO KILL EACH OTHER!!!"
Faith stepped back a couple of steps at the range of pitch in Willow's voice.*Dang the girl would be a great singer.* Faith thought as she cleared away all the ringing bells in her head.
"Why don't you let them fight and see who comes out on top?" Faith asked knowing Giles could take the guy Willow was in front of.
"Well let's see. Giles' options. Let my mentor get killed, let my father figure get killed....I am gonna go with NO!"
"Well in that case let Giles kill scary man there." Faith said pointing to Snape.
Willows eyes bugged out. She also looked like she wanted to kill Faith for the suggestion.
"Or maybe not." Faith said backing away from the irate redhead.
"NO!! Giles can not KILL him! Do you have any idea who he is?"
"I do. He is Severus Snape. He is a follower of the Dark Lord. He went to school with me, Ethan and ...your mom." Giles said as he kept his wand raised at Snape. "And I have no idea WHY Albus let him come teach at the school. He deserves to go to Azkaban."
Willow narrowed her eyes at the man. "No he doesn't. I would not be able to see him if he was there and he does not work for the Dark Lord. Now why are you here?"
"We came to bring you home." Faith replied stepping in front of Giles. If her and Wills stood where they were long enough maybe the two men would put their wands down.
Faith looked around the small redhead to the man and almost killed over in shock. "Red?"
"What Faith?"
"Is he....?"
"What Faith? Is he what?"
"Is he related to you?"
Willow smiled and turned to the man behind her. She had known the truth about everything since she was smaller. She just never told her fiends, not being sure if they could take it.
Willow turned back to the slayer and replied, "Yes he is. Now, see Giles, if you kill him it would not make you any better then he is. And it would make me really really cranky. Do you want cranky Willow to come out and play?"
Giles smiled at the girl, no scrach that, young woman in front of him. She was like a daughter to him, all the kids were like his children. Giles
knew from the first time he saw the kids rise to the occasion and help Buffy
that first night that he would want his children to be like these kids.
"Willow, I understand your reason, but you MUST understand mine. He is a killer, of innocent people. Everything you and Buffy and the others have worked so hard to protect. He has helped destroy just a little of it."
Willow was torn, she had known of Severus's past. She knew he was under the Imperious curse.
"Giles, please don't kill him." Willow whispered almost to herself. When she looked up to her mentor he saw she had tears in her eyes.
"Willow? What's wrong girl?" Faith asked, engulfing the sobbing redhead in a hug.
Giles looked from Willow to Snape and back again. That was when he realized the reason for Willow's actions. Giles had known Snape and Willow's
mother in school when they were all students of Howarts.
Snape and Sheila had dated almost the whole time they were at the school but Sheila left, and that was ....."18 years ago." Giles said out loud
looking at Willow in shock lowering his wand in disbelief.
Willow turned to Giles and saw understanding in his eyes. She knew he realized why she had acted the way she had. She turned and saw Snape lower his wand.
Willow took a deep beath and said, "Giles I want you to meet Severus Snape, my father."
