     | Darmon Elrik
MeidlandePatriach of the family, Darmon is an ambitious man who is also a shrewd and rather cutthroat businessman. Although
he has humble roots, he has tried mightily to mask them, using his wealth to ingratiate himself to nobility. He longs to see
his children and his family accepted into the upper crusts of society, and believes that Sylphia's marriage into a respectable family
     will cement their position.

     | Medea Denue
MeidlandeA quiet, somewhat mousy woman, Medea is a gentle soul who is more than content to tend to home and hearth
while Darmon does business. Her greatest joy is in her children, whom she treasures. Although she is a kind and
loving person, she is very weak and has little will of her own. She believes that the role of a woman is to serve her husband,
and is disappointed that Sylphia hasn't totally adapted to this role.

     | Rogan Einard MeidlandeThe oldest son of the family, Rogan was young enough to remember the raw beginnings of the Meidlande fortune,
before they became wealthy. Still, he has adapted swiftly to their new lifestyle, perhaps too well - he sees money
as the ultimate bargaining chip, and spends freely and lavishly. He has
little head for business, but he enjoys his status as one of the most
    eligible bachelors in town.

     | Tyromir Dragorn MeidlandeLike his older brother, Ty is more interested in the material things of life
at the moment. He idolizes Rogan and tries desperately to be like him. He
sees Rogan as the epitome of what a young nobleman should be - handsome and
charismatic, and just a bit cold. The brothers are close friends, going on
hunts, practicing swordfighting, and drinking with each other.

     | Lornen Navril MeidlandeThe youngest son of the family, Lornen is set apart from his brothers
because of his dark hair, and also because of his more scholarly nature. He
has an interest in business that has earned him his father's favor, and a
quick mind that has garnered the respect of many townspeople. Having been
the one who had to look after Sylphia for much of her younger years, before
they could afford a nanny, he understands her the best.

     | Sylphia Calanthe MeidlandeYoungest daughter. Sylphia knows all too well her role in society - a pretty
face to bear children and oversee all aspects of the household, with little
real importance. She tends to hold herself apart from others, which others
see as a rather cool aloofness. The truth is, she is actually quite shy and
a bit uncomfortable around large crowds. However, she tries to mask this in
    order to perform her duties.
