| Forever~ Chapter 24 "Why talk when we can kiss?" she asked, trying to divert his attention as she kissed him again. "We both know that affection doesn't solve everything. If it did you and I would never have any problems. We need to talk if we're gonna make this work, and I want this to work more than I've ever wanted anything." Jessica frowned at his serious tone. "What's wrong?" she asked as they sat out under the stars. "We both know the events of the past 3 weeks have taken a toll on our relationship." "You noticed too?" she asked as she hung her head. "How could I not?" he asked as he lifted her chin to look into her eyes. "I can tell we were growing apart and that hurt me more than any surgery." "It hurt me too," she whispered. "Everytime I would come home and see Vanessa and Nick making out and I would just run off and cry." "That will never happen again, honey," he said as he held her close. Suddenly he jerked back. "Did you say Nicky and Vanessa?" "Yeah, didn't you know that they were together?" The look in his eyes told her that he didn't. "I want you to talk to NIck soon; he's getting pretty serious with her." "I will," he promised. "But for tonight can we just forget that anyone else exists and just concentrate on us?" She answered him with a firm kiss. He grabbed her hand and pulled her inside. He jumped on the couch and pulled her down on top of him. "What are you doing?" she managed to ask between kisses. "Getting reacquainted," he said with a devilish smile. "Do I need to remind you of my True Love Waits promises?" "No, I remember," he assured her. "And I would never have you break it cause it would mean that I would have to break my promise too. However, I'm gonna prove to you that I love you like no one else can. This is the closest thing you're gonna get to our wedding night." "And I love and respect you for that," she whispered. He kissed her firmly and was surprised when she started crying. "I'm so happy to be back in your arms." She laid her head on his now bare chest and traced his new scar with her finger. "I love you, Jess- more than I ever thought I could love someone again," Brian whispered. He kissed her tears away and then continued to kiss her all through the night. The next morning, Jessica awoke more in love with Brian than she had been the night before. She kissed him gently and watched as his blue eyes opened slowly. "You are amazing," he said as he returned her kiss. "Did you hear Nick and Vanessa come back last night?" Jessica asked him as she sat up. "No, but I'm gonna go wake Frack up, I thought we'd go out for teh day so I could talk to him about some things." Brian headed for the stairs. "Is that okay with you?" "Of course. I want you to talk to him. We can have dinner or something later." "All right, baby," he said, coming back to give her a kiss. "Me and Nick will probably be back a little after lunch." Brian smiled at her before joggig up the stairs to wake Nick. The 2 friends were dressed and ready to go in record time. They kissed their girlfriends goodbye and climbed in Nick's car and sped off toward the mall. They shopped around for awhile as Nick tried to find a way to break his news to Brian. "So how do you think things are gonna be once we get married?" Nick asked as he and Brian sat down with their ice cream. "Do you think our wives will let us still get together and be Frick and Frack?" "Of course. I wouldn't marry someone who wouldn't let me hang with you," Brian smirked at his friend. "But don't you think you're jumping the gun, Nicky? I mean, I'm not engaged yet and you're just- " Brian stopped short as he saw Nick grin mischieviously.
