Forever~ Chapter 6 "Where's Jessica?" Brian and Nick asked when they went back inside and didn't see her sitting at the table with the other guys. "She's packing for the beach." Kevin answered. "And she wants to know if one of you want to go with her." "Aren't any of you going?" Brian asked them. "No," Howie answered. "We already made plans for today." "Same here," Nick added. "I told Mom that I'd spend today with Aaron." "Well," Brian said. "I'm gonna go with her. I don't want her to go by herself." The other guys nodded in agreement. "I guess I'll see you guys later." "Bye," they chorused as Brian went upstairs to find Jessica. He ran into her as she was coming out of her room. "Hey," he said in surprise. "You still going to the beach?" "Yeah," she said as her face lit up. "You wanna come with me?" "I'd love to. Just let me change clothes and grab a couple things and I'll meet you in my car." He found himself smiling uncontrollably at her. He couldn't figure out what about her made him smile, but he quickly decided that he didn't care; just as long as she continued to make him happy. He ran in his room and changed clothes and then ran out to his convertible where she sat waiting patiently. "You ready to go?" Brian asked as he climbed in the car and tossed his things in the backseat. "Yeah," she said with a breathtaking smile. "Which beach are we going to exactly?" Jessica asked as they started down the road. "It's kinda near Cocoa Beach. It's my own private spot. I always go there when I want to be alone." Brian didn't know why but he felt compelled to take her there. In what seemed like no time, Brian was opening her door for her and running with her down to the water. "Brian, it's beautiful," she whispered. Her face looked like a child's at Christmas. "I thought you might like it," he said as they sat down in the sand. "But if you wanna socialize then I'll take you down to the public beach; just say the word." "No," she said so quickly that it startled him. "I don't wanna be around anyone else but you. I wanna get to know you. I'm glad you decided to come with me." "Did you really think that I wouldn't come with you? I enjoy being with you." Brian couldn't keep himself from smiling as he laid back on the sand. He looked over to see that Jessica had done the same. He allowed himself to reach over and stroke her long blond hair. "You're the first person that I've ever brought here. Heather and I never even came here." Brian expected Jessica to be surprised by this news, but if she was, she didn't show it.
