Dragonball ZL Extra

The Alternate Universe Story version one

Part Ten;
¤The Ginyuu Force Has Arrived! Fight for your Life, Kyande!¤

Sarro eyed Vejiita's expresion and said a little hotly, " You asked for it! "

" I know, " growled Vejiita resentfully.

" Anyway, " said Sarro, " in a manner of speaking it all went from there. Returning to where we left off, however... "

[Ack! Where did we leave off?! ~runs and checks part eight~ Oh! Oh! Right! The Ginyuu Force just arrived! ... Gomen nasai min'nasan!]

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Kyande streamed across the sky with the one star Dragonball clasped between her hands. Slightly ahead of her flew Gokuu. They had long since given up on attempting to hide their power. For Gokuu it was near impossible anyway; his ki signature shone out like a beacon on the darkest of nights.

Dende had stayed behind with the Eldest Namekuseijin and the Piccolo look-a-like who called himself Nail. Kyande was glad for it, the little brat was growing on her, something that irritated her all the more.

Worriedly, Kyande looked down at the Dragonball and felt true fear creep into her being. She knew many died in the impending battles, and if she didn't play things just right, some of those deaths would be on her head...

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Gohan had been training steadily since before he had picked up the arrival of the Ginyuu Force. Bulma had been alternatly watching him and tinkering around with the many devices she had brought to Namekusei with her.

Right now she sat on a rock outside the cave they'd selected to hold the capsule house, with the Dragon Radar in her hands and her head bowed over it.

As she stared at the Dragon Radar, her mind began to wander.

Gokuu, she thought despairingly, since I met you my life has been anything but boring. If not for you... I never would have met the majority of my closest friends. Ranchi, Chichi, Tenshinhan, Chaou-zu, Kuririn... Yamcha... a tear rolled off her cheek to land on the Dragon Radar, How I miss him so... I swear it, when he's wished back... I'm going to marry him as soon as we return to Earth. No argument is worse than this.

Suddenly the Dragon Radar blipped, as if to cheer her up. She had been absently searching, but this was the first time it had picked anything up, other than the five that Kyande informed them were with Freezer. There was one, heading for them at an incredible speed.

" Hey, hey, Gohan! " Bulma called the little warrior over. She showed him the Dragon Radar when he came to her side. " Look! That must be Kyande and Gokuu! They got a Dragonball for us! "

" Yeah! " Gohan cheered. He then pointed to another blip on the left side of the screen, " Hey! There's another one over there, and it's not moving at all! "

Now Bulma was really excited. " That must be one that Freezer hasn't found yet! "

" Yeah! " cheered Gohan again. He snatched the Dragon Radar. " Can I borrow this and go look for it?! "

Bulma smiled at his enthusiasm. " Sure, " she agreed, " but be careful. "

" I will, " assured Gohan. He took off in a blinding flash of ki energy, and Bulma suddenly found herself very alone.

It's okay, she told herself mentally, Kyande and Gokuu will be here in a few minutes.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The Ginyuu Force had remained frozen in their poses for a long time now. Freezer was beginning to wonder if they hadn't become stuck that way. He resisted the urge to sigh in releif when they finally moved.

" Freezersama, " greeted Captain Ginyuu with a low bow, " tell us, what is the problem that requires our services? "

Freezer's lips spread into a slow, crafty smile. " You remember Vejiita? "

Gourdo scowled. He certainly did.

" Yes, " answered Ginyuu for the group, " do you wish us to dispose of him? "

" No, thank you, " said Freezer, the crafty smile never dropping, " I want you to bring him back here in one piece, or as close as you can manage. "

" What about Katera? " questioned Baata.

The smile dropped. " I have tolerated her insolence as much as I will allow. Perhaps her death will put Vejiita back in line. She's been a bad influence on him.

" Also, there are apparantly a number of other people, Earthlings, I'm assuming, running amok on Namekusei. At least one of them is a Saiyajin. "

Captain Ginyuu looked confused, as did the rest of his troupe, " Freezersama? I thought you destroyed all the Saiyajin. "

" I did, but apparantly there were some I missed who were off world. More, Radditz's if you will-- [Hey! That's almost a pun!] --I want them destroyed as well. Be careful though, these are Saiyajin that defeated Vejiita, Katera, Nappa, and Radditz. "

Captain Ginyuu turned abruptly and faced the rest of the Ginyuu Force. " All Right, Men! " he bellowed, " Let's Go! "

After manymuch horsing around, more posing, and something that looked oddly like a dance routine, the Ginyuu Force took off across the skies of Namekusei.

Feeling quite pleased with himself, Freezer turned and powered his hover car into the ship.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

" Thank you! " Gohan called cheerily. He waved at the Namekuseijin in the village he'd found while balancing the four star Dragonball in his other hand. " Thank you very much! "

He turned from the waving Namekuseijin just as a large shadow crossed him.

" Huh? " he blinked in surprise and looked up (and up and up) into the face of Captain Ginyuu.

" Hello there, " said Captain Ginyuu with a broad grin, " I believe you have something we would like. "

Gohan took a step back. Setting the ball down amidst some Namekuseijin who had come to help him he struck a fighting pose
and stated, " You'll have to fight me for it! "

---------------------------------------------------------------------

" Ojisama! " shouted Katera over the headwind. " Are we strong enough to take on all five of the Ginyuu Force? "

There was no answering call from Vejiita, and his mind was closed to her. He was trying to hide the truth from her, but in doing so he was only revealing it to her as bright as the endless Namekian day.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Kyande and Gokuu were flying steadily when suddenly they both stopped abruptly. They hung in the air for a long moment, testing the feeling that had just assaulted their senses.

" That's Gohan! " Kyande gasped.

Gokuu added, " and those five powers... and there are two others heading in that direction. "

Kyande looked down at the Dragonball in her hands. She bit her lip and made the fatal decision, " Let's go. " Turning in the direction of the impending battle, she took off in a burst of ki energy.

Gokuu followed directly behind her, and gradually overtook her. Kyande grinned privately. Perhaps she hadn't screwed things up as much as she'd thought. Gokuu could kick some serious butt now. Maybe Guru's powerup was all he'd needed to give him the extra shove towards his preordained greatness.

Maybe...

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Gohan dropped to the ground and stayed there. His gi was badly torn and his face bloody. The little half Saiyajin was... about as badly beaten as one could expect after facing five warriors both bigger and stronger.

Right around this time, Katera and Vejiita arrived. The two full blooded Saiyajin landed on the ground, one after the other. They
faced the Ginyuu Force with not a shred of fear in sight.

" Oh, look, " crooned Katera, " it's Kakarrot's kid. "

" If he's here then Kakarrot's not far behind, " Vejiita surmised. He turned and picked up the four star Dragonball. When a Namekuseijin stepped forward to stop him, Vejiita glared menacingly, and the Namekuseijin backed down warily.

His friend, however, was not so smart. Taking a running step forward he crouched low and launched himself into the air. The Namekuseijin streamed towards Vejiita, collecting his ki energy as he went. Vejiita had both hands on the Dragonball. There was nothing he could do in his own defence.

Vejiita did nothing. He just stared at the approaching Namekuseijin and quietly said, " Katera. "

Katera turned from facing the Ginyuu Force and held her hand out, palm facing the attacking Namekuseijin. From this emitted a gigantic blast that reduced the Namekuseijin to nothingness.

All of the Ginyuu Force but for Captain Ginyuu gaped.

" How-- " Jiisu stammered, " How could Katera have so much power?! "

" Freezersama was right to call us, " Baata commented.

Vejiita turned around and greeted, " Well, look, it's the Ginyuu Force. Long time no see, and look, little one-arm's still a member. "

Gourdo bristled indignantly. He could still vividly remember the day Vejiita and Katera had separated him from his right arm.

" I'm still more than enough to defeat the likes of you, Vejiita! " Gourdo snapped in response.

" Hn, right, " Katera said with enough confidence to make Gourdo think twice.

At this point in time, Gokuu and Kyande arrived.

Gokuu gave a start and shouted his son's name.

Kyande shot first Katera and Vejiita a dirty look, then the Ginyuu. Raising an eyebrow she demanded, " Who in blazes are you? "

" But Kyande, " Gokuu inquired, " I thought you knew. "

Kyande clenched her fists and growled inwardly, I'm about ready to give up on this whole thing...

Captain Ginyuu's manic eyes lighted on the object Kyande held between her two hands.

" Well, well, " he said, " it appears that all things work in the favor of the Ginyuu Force today, boys! Everything we were seeking his sought us. She has the seventh Dragonball. "

Kyande's face darkened indignantly. " Come and get it from me! "

" Idiot! " Vejiita declared, racing towards her. He grabbed the ball from her hands, and shouted in her face, " None of our differences matter anymore! We can't let Freezer get all seven! " Before Kyande could react in any way but to stutter through attempts at an answer, Vejiita forcefully threw the Dragonball out of sight.

At the same time, Baata disappeared, and reappeared seconds later with the one star Dragonball balanced in one hand.

" All Right Baata! " Jiisu crowed.

Vejiita's jaw dropped in shock. Katera showed only a mildly lesser degree of surprise.

Kyande roared in anger and grabbed Vejiita by the collar. " You're calling Me an Idiot, you little Worm?! You just let them get the last Dragonball single handedly! You MORON!! "

In a flash Katera was at her prince's defense. She clamped a hand down on Kyande's wrist and held the girl with a level, warning glare.

Vejiita batted Kyande's hands away and snapped in a low voice, " Alright, you, neither of us like each other, but if we have any way of surviving this we're going to have to act together. "

" Face a common enemy, " Kyande added.

Vejiita nodded. " I say we team up against Freezer, but only until he's beat: then the gloves are coming off. "

Kyande narrowed her eyes and said, " You're on, but if you show one sign of betrayal Vejiita, I'll not only disembowl you slowly, but I'll do the same to her first, " a nod in Katera's direction, " and make you watch every second of it. "

Vejiita smiled and said the words that made Kyande feel queasy.

" Spoken like a true Saiyajin. " He turned sly, " But are you sure Kakarrot would allow that? "

Kyande's face told him truth enough.

Resolutely, Kyande turned to face the Ginyuu Force and assessed the situation. " Okay, so it's five against five. Those aren't so bad of odds. " Her self-confidence went up a notch or two and she added, " This'll be nooo problem! "

" Four against five, " Gokuu corrected her from where he was crouched with Gohan. " I don't think Gohan can manage another fight, and I don't have any senzu. "

Kyande drew her breath slowly and said, " Oookay, four against five. Not even, but it'll do I suppose. "

" You think too much, " Vejiita complained in a growl.

Kyande retorted, " You don't think enough. "

" I'm afraid the odds are as even as they were originally, " Captain Ginyuu interrupted coyly. All the Ginyuu's opponents stared at him blankly.

" Hah? " was Kyande's questioning of his remark.

Captain Ginyuu picked up Gohan's Dragonball, and took Kyande's from Baata. " I have to deliver these to Freezersama. "

" Urk, " came Kyande's next commentary.

Captain Ginyuu paid her no attention. He raised into the air and took off with a simple parting of, " Toodles! "

Kyande teardropped. " Did he just say 'toodles?' "

" Hai, " sighed Katera, and Kyande was again thrown by her complete change in personality.

" So, " called Vejiita to the remaining of the Ginyuu Force, " who's to face us first? "

" Hah? " asked Kyande again, this time to Vejiita.

He gave her an annoyingly enigmatic look. " Four on four translates to one on one, does it not? I prefur things this way. "

His words, however, cleared it up all too well.

" You.... Weasel! " Kyande fumed at him, " You just want a chance to see how much Gokuu and I have improved. So that when we next face you you'll have a premature assessment of our powerlevels! "

Vejiita decidedly ignored her and called, " Well? Who's it going to be? I'm waiting! "

" Cocky little thing, ain't he? " Baata commented.

" Yeah, but what do you expect from a Saiyajin, neh? " was Jiisu's comment.

Gourdo narrowed all four eyes and took a step foward with his pudgy feet. " I'll go first. "

Vejiita laughed out loud when he heard this. Katera merely smiled.

" You? " Vejiita sneered derisively, " I didn't know your brain was in your arm, Gourdo. "

" I'll take you on any day, Vejiita! " Gourdo yelled.

" Yeah, Gourdo! " Rikuum cheered, " Go get 'em! "

Vejiita's laughter died down to an occasional chuckle. " Really? " he said in response to Gourdo's outburst. " How sad that I won't be going first. "

Vejiita slid his gaze over and declared, " You can fight Kakarrot. "

" Nani?! " Kyande shouted. " Who made you in charge, Vejiita?! Wh-What if Gokuu doesn't wanna fight?! "

Vejiita glared at her. " Who ever heard of a Saiyajin who didn't want to fight? "

" There's been a couple! " Kyande shot back, " ... like... three... "

Gokuu stood up and looked at Gourdo appraisingly. " So I get the little one, huh? " He began approaching Gourdo, " I would have thought he'd be better suited to you or Katera, Vejiita. "

Kyande smiled.

Vejiita and Katera took insult but contented themselves to watch.

" Go Gourdo! " Rikuum cheered again.

" Do it for the Ginyuu Force! " shouted Jiisu.

Kyande brought her hands to either side of her mouth and called, " C'mon Gokuu, you can take that little pudgeball! "

Gourdo glared at her. " Pudgeball?! " he repeated. " Hmmph, I'll repay you for that as soon as I'm done with your boyfriend here, ya beanpole! "

" Boyfriend?! " Kyande fell over and muttered into the ground, " The soap opera continues... waitaminnit! Beanpole?! Hey! "

Gourdo looked at Gokuu's blank face and then brought his hands up readily, " Bring. It. On. "

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarro had long since given up on trying to keep her tea warm. She was getting used to the taste of it cold anyway. Licking her lips after a sip that had become a long drink, she stated,

" In the interest of time and the health of my throat, I won't go into much detail concerning the fight between Gokuu and Gourdo. It wasn't a very exciting, nor important fight.

" Gohan, you might remember Gourdo's special ability to freeze time? I assure you he made good use of it, keeping Gokuu busy for quite awhile until he fell into the same trap that had ensnared Kuririn and Gohan both in our timeline.

" Even the best fall for the simplest of tricks, afterall... "

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Gokuu struggled as hard as he could against the invisible bonds which held him. There seemed to be nothing he could do, but
struggle and watch as Gourdo did as he pleased.

From the ground, Gourdo laughed and gestured with his hand towards one of the tall, thin trees that dotted the Namekian
landscape. The tree ripped itself from the ground and all it's branches tore off. With a final snapping sound of wood splintering, the round, leafy top of the tree burst off, leaving the trunk tapered to a deadly sharp point.

Snidly laughing at his own creativity, Gourdo moved the tree-turned-projectile in line with Gokuu and sent it flying.

" Ah! " Kyande cried, " Gokuu! "

" This is gonna be sweet! " Jiisu declared in antisipation.

Suddenly a blue line of ki energy separated Gourdo's head from his body. The eyes staring blank, Gourdo's head fell one way, and his body collapsed in a heap the other way, stirring up a small swirl of dust.

In the aftermath of the deadly attack, Vejiita landed crouched on the ground, and Gokuu was freed from his prison.

Dodging the tree-torpedo, Gokuu stared down at the Saiyan prince and what was left of the small member of the Ginyuu Force.

" Vejiita?! " he called, his voice thick with disapproval, " What did you kill him for?! You didn't have to do that! "

" I'm not finished with you yet, Kakarrot, " Vejiita answered. " That kind of force was necessary. "

Gokuu continued to argue as he descended down to the ground. " No, it is not. I don't like killing. "

" Too bad for you, " Vejiita sneered, " but I don't feel like wasting my wish on resurrecting that worthless pile of flesh anymore than I favor bringing back your incapable friends. When we get the Dragonballs, I am wishing for immortality. " He turned fully to face Gokuu. " I won't let you, with your weak minded morals, keep me from that, Kakarrot. "

" That is, of course, provided (a) we get the Dragonballs before Freezer uses them first, (b) Gokuu and I let you make that wish, and (c) we survive them! " Kyande shouted, pointing at the other three members of the Ginyuu Force.

Katera interceeded quietly, " Oh, Ojisama will get his immortality, brat, " she looked directly at Kyande, " even if I have to die getting it for him. " She looked back to the battle field.

Kyande looked at the other woman despairingly. " Why? " she asked planitively, " What has he done? Why does he deserve that? "

" Because he is the prince, " came Katera's answer without hesitation.

" That's the official reason, " contested Kyande, placing her hands on her hips, " What's your reason, Katera? "

Katera flickered Kyande a glance. She took a slow breath.

" Katera, " Vejiita's voice barked in interruption, " I want you to go next. "

" Hai. " Katera took a step forward, but paused when Kyande's hand rested on her shoulder. The Saiyan warrior looked back slightly at the girl, who quickly retracted her hand.

" I want an answer, " Kyande said firmly.

" I should think it's self-explanitory, " Katera answered and strode into battle. Once there, she pushed her bangs from her eyes and declared loudly, " Which one of you wants to die next? "

Baata, Jiisu, and Rikuum all looked to each other inquisitively, but also with a degree of fear: like children trying to decide who to pass the blame to.

" Uh, " Baata hedged, " Why don't you go ahead, Rikuum? We all know how much you like a good fight. "

" Yeah, " Jiisu added, " and we know how you and Gourdo were pretty good friends. "

" Not really, " Rikuum shrugged it off, " but it will feel good to beat on the little soldier. Alright, I'll do it! "

Quite relieved that Rikuum was as stupid as he was, Baata and Jiisu cheered they're teammate on and silently gave a sigh of relief. Little realizing that if things went the way they were going, one of them would have to face Vejiita, and the other, Kyande.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Bulma had long ago taken up pacing. She held the Dragon Radar in a vise-like grip and had taken to muttering many unpleasant things about her fellow Namekian visitors.

" How Dare they just Leave me here, like, like, some baggage! Ooh, when they do get back here, I'll-- huh? "

Bulma suddenly brought up the bleeping Dragon Radar and freaked when she saw the display. " Those two other Dragonballs! They're heading for Freezer's five! Oooh, is that Kyande and Gokuu, or is it Freezer?! Waah! This isn't fair! "

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Captain Ginyuu hummed a chipper tune as he flew along towards Freezer's ship.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

A slight breeze swept past the Namekian village that had unwillingly become the battleground upon which the fate of Namekusei would begin to be decided. The Namekuseijin whom had once inhabited it had fled after Katera destroyed their fighters. Now, they left it all behind to fate.

As for fate, Kyande realized that Katera's was still in her hands. The whole experiment (gah, it was hard to still think of it as that, even harder to believe that was what started this all) had been about keeping Katera away from Trunks... at least from Kyande's point of view. Keeping Katera away from Trunks kept Katera away from Kyande.

But then there was the obvious fact that Kyande's experiment with Katera's fate was also acting as a way of satisfying Sarro's twisted curiousity.

Kyande's mind went off on a tangent there and she began fuming again. Okaasan...

But her mental sidetrip snapped back to reality as the fight between Katera and Rikuum began...

Katera was easily half Rikuum's height, and still the battle went in her favor... in the beginning. But there was something about the way Rikuum took her blows, the way his retaliatory strikes and blows didn't quite look right, that told Kyande that this fight hadn't even begun.

But, Katera could handle herself.

Sidling up to Vejiita, Kyande leaned over carefully and murmured in his ear, " He's only playing with Katera, you know. "

" I know, " said Vejiita, his voice thick with something resembling pride, " Little do you or he realize, but she's playing too. "

Kyande looked to the battle and said, " I'll... take your word on that, Vej. Anyway, I was just wondering... um... what's the deal with you and Katera? "

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Goten laughed and accused, " You gossip! "

" Shut up! "

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Vejiita's expression darkened a notch. " What do you mean by that? "

" Well, " Kyande hedged, tip-toing around her words, " do... you... do you really love her? "

Vejiita snapped his full attention to her, flinching unconsciously at the word 'love.' His eyes mere slits, he demanded, " What kind of a question is that? "

" Of course he does, Kyande, " interrupted Gokuu. Kyande had almost forgotten he was there. (How in blazes had she managed that? His ki still shone on her senses like nobody's business) Vejiita's look at the other Saiyajin was not so pleasant. Gokuu continued, " Isn't it obvious? "

Kyande looked at Vejiita smugly. " Yes, " she said, " it is. "

Vejiita pointedly looked away.

Rikuum suddenly grabbed Katera by the head and slammed her into the ground.

Katera sat up immediatly within the crater and with a small twist of her body came up on one knee and turned one-eighty to face Rikuum. Pushing both hands out towards Rikuum she gave a grin that was very nearly reckless and shot him with a large amount of ki energy.

There were a few seconds of near-celebratory silence in which it looked as though Katera had won. Then the pile of rocks Rikuum had ended up in shifted slightly, before exploding outwards. Stones and debris went flying every which way, and Kyande was forced to sheild herself.

Rikuum stood posed in it's wake, with a wide grin on his face. " Now, " he said, switching poses dramatically, " It's, " He spun a surprisingly graceful pirouette, ending up in a stance that looked oddly like he'd just completed the best triple axle ever performed and concluded, " My Turn! "

Katera brought her hands up readily and waited.

Rikuum moved almost before she had the chance to do this, running for the Saiyan warrior with the force of a locomotive. Yelling all the way, he put all the power in his running behind one fist and aimed it for Katera's head.

Katera dodged to the side, stepping over and turning so that she faced Rikuum's passing. What she didn't account for, however, was the larger warrior's reach. He brought his other hand out and over, snatching Katera's ponytail and using it to swing her around into his fist. Katera took the punch directly between the eyes, and cried out in pain.

Rikuum released her and she staggered back a few steps with both hands to her face.

Rikuum did not allow her the recovery time. He came at her mercilessly, punching and sending blows. For awhile, the only sounds were Katera's strangled cries and the muffled sounds of Rikuum's blows connecting.

Suddenly Katera jumped and grabbed Rikuum's head between her hands. Remaining in the air, she repeatedly slammed his nose into her left knee, until her suit there was soaked in his blood. She then flipped over backwards and the heel of her foot met Rikuum in the same place.

The member of the Ginyuu Force fell over backwards, landing on the ground with a collassal sound. Katera smirked down at him, obviously proud of her handiwork.

Rikuum laughed, dispelling Katera's pride. Lying on his back in the ground, Rikuum opened his mouth as wide as it would go, then shouted, " Eraser Gun! "

Katera had no time to dodge the ki blast expelled from his mouth. She took it directly in the right thigh, and screamed. Although, it soon became apparant that what might have started out a scream of pain, was now a scream of pure rage. Bringing up one shaking hand, she punched Rikuum's blast back at him before it could blow off her leg.

However, Rikuum was no longer there.

Katera started in surprise, but then began scanning her surroundings. Her breath was coming hard, sounding in the still air
through clenched teeth.

Before Katera could sense him, Rikuum appeared behind her and caught her with both arms. Laughing rauciously in her ear, Rikuum declared, " Surprise! "

Struggling for all she was worth, Katera growled, " Surprise, yourself, you bastard! " Suddenly clenching her fists, she brought them to her shoulders, fingers facing Rikuum and yelled inarticulately. Opening her fists released a massive amount of ki energy in Rikuum's face.

The attack managed to get Rikuum to release his hold, nothing more. He pushed through the ki energy and got Katera with a crosswise blow to the chest.

Katera came in and punched him repeatedly in his gut, shattering his armor, but never once succeeding in silencing his awful laughter. Kyande couldn't help but cringe when Rikuum caught Katera again in his two hands. This time he had them clamped around her middle, arms and all. Katera struggled against his hold, kicking and screaming in litteral terms.

Rikuum's laughter finally stopped, if only for him to say, " Bye-bye, little monkey. "

His hands still around Katera, Rikuum escalated his ki and released it through his hands, tearing Katera to shreds in it's wake. Rikuum let go, and the now limp Saiyan warrior dropped to the ground.

Kyande gave a gasp and whispered, " Katera... " Crap, I wanted this to happen, but in a sense I didn't because this Katera was starting to grow on me and if Vejiita loves her he's going to be very, very, Very angry.

Kyande looked over at Vejiita's expression and realized that she'd understated.

Rikuum noticed the expression as well.

" Aw, " he crooned, " now look. You miss her already, don'tcha, Vejiita? " Rikuum began striding in the prince's direction, " Don't worry. I'll personally send you along to join her. I hear Hell's nice this time of year. "

Vejiita said nothing, just growled and crouched into fighting stance.

" Here I come! " declared Rikuum, rushing at the prince.

Yelling, though still without words, Vejiita rushed towards Rikuum, ready to meet him half way.

Suddenly in a blur, Katera appeared between the two of them, barring Rikuum's passage to Vejiita. Both the warriors stopped short, staring at the Saiyan woman in utter disbelief. Kyande, Gokuu, and Gohan weren't without their own surprise.

" I don't believe, " said Katera tersely, " that we are finished yet, Rikuum. "

Rikuum grinned stupidly. " No, I guess not. " He pulled a fist and punched at Katera with deadly force. Surely this blow would finish her off.

Rikuum never got the chance to find out. Without a sound, Katera leaped out of the way of the punch and used his arm to push off and get enough height.

With one good roundhouse kick, Katera snapped Rikuum's head almost all they way around, breaking his neck. Rikuum dropped like a sack of potatoes and the second battle against the Ginyuu Force ended.

" Two down, " murmured Kyande as she took in Baata and Jiisu's reactions to this, " two to go. "

[Well, storywise, Kyande, it's four to go. You're forgetting Captain Ginyuu and Freezer. Will I ever get to the fight with Freezer?! When will it all end?! ~sigh~ I seriously doubt it will be next time, but we will get {hopefully} a little closer in Part Eleven; Kyande is Gokuu but Gokuu is Ginyuu! Things Just Got a Little Confusing...]
