The Road to Yesterday
This book is related to the Anne series, but are not technically part of the series. As far as I know Anne and Gilbert both are in it, but they are not the focus of the book. This manuscript was originally entitled The Blythes Are Quoted and was a collection of stories told about and by the Blythes with some poems as well. A work that was left unfinished at Mongomery's deaths, it was published in 1974 by her son Dr Stuart Macdonald (without the frame work of the Blythes sitting around the fire at Ingleside listening to their favorite stories). Benjamin Lefebvre is presently at work on a critical edition of Montgomery's unpublished final novel The Blythes Are Quoted.
Book Jacket:
For Anne and Gilbert Blythe, life in a small village is never dull because of all the entertaining gossip, and what strange and funny tales they hear: about the mischievous twins whose dearest wish comes true when they meet up with a bored and haunted millionaire; or clever Penelope Craig, who considers herself an expert on children -- until she adopts a boy of her own; or Timothy Randebush, a man so eager to keep his brother out of the clutches of a dangerous woman that he spirits her away -- only to fall prey to her charms himself. Filled with unexpected surprises, laughter, and tears, here are fourteen of the Blythes' favorite tales.

The Chronicles of Avonlea
This book is related to the Anne series, but are not technically part of the series. As far as I know Anne and Gilbert both are in it, but they are not the focus of the book.Book Jacket:
On Prince Edward Island, where Anne Shirley grew up in the sea-sprayed town of Avonlea, there was no shortage of wonderful stories. There was the case of Ludovic Speed, who wouldn't propose to the woman he had courted for fifteen years until Anne devised a plan to "speed" him up . . . if it didn't backfire and break his heart. But no one could blame mischievous Anne for the hilarious battle of the sexes that erupted when a man-hating woman and her cat got quarantined in the same house with a woman-hating bachelor and his dog. From sprawling Penhallow Grange, where a family waits nearly forever for two quarreling lovers to break their stubborn silence, to the tumbledown farm of Old Man Shaw, who awaits the retum of his beloved daughter, L. M. Montgomery has written twelve tales of secret hopes and hidden dreams, filled with enchantment and humor.
