Rows 1 and 2 of the aquarium room

The tanks drain back to a sump where the water is filtered and then pumped to each tank at 15000 litres per hour. About four times a day the pump switches off to allow excess water to drain away, then new water tops it up. Heat is supplied from a solar hot water system. The main tanks are 400 litres.

Aquarium Room 2

Fish are raised in the larger tanks after reaching 4 cm. Smaller breeding tanks are located in the next row.

Filtration:-

As the water returns to the sump by gravity feed, it flows through stainless steel troughs with fine mesh on the bottom. Filter wool is placed on the mesh
