Shows can be a lot of fun but they are also the place where the serious breeder finds out if he is doing his job right. If you like Springers, its because there are people who care about the breed standard and wish to preserve it. Its not just a question of putting any two dogs together and making puppies. A combination of intelligence, beauty, temperament, health and show sense will produce a champion and a true representative of the breed. If we love Springers, let's keep them that way. Outdoors on a rainy day can call for all kinds of cloaks and ear wraps to avoid getting wet before show time.
Blowing wind can also create havoc on the grounds.
Better to go under the tent.
