HOME BREWING RECIPES
If you have not tried home brewing before here is a short list of items you will need and some basic instrutions to make your first attempt a succes.
Basic items you will need
A measuring set
A large-mouthed-funnel
Cheesecloth for straining the liqueurs through
A tall wide-mouthed GLASS jar to steep in. A suntea jar can be used, I use a one gallon flour jar. Be sure it is sealable, this keeps out dirt and other unwanted things.
One small sauce pan.
Be sure before you start that all utensils and the jar are STERILE. I usually pour boiling water into the jar and over the utensils I'm going to use. BE CAREFUL with this step as there is a danger of burning yourself with the water.
Sugar Syrup Recipe
1 part sugar
1/2 part water
Heat water to boiling and add the sugar. Stir to dissolve. Let cool before pouring into any liqueurs as the heat could boil off some of the alcohol.
