Alternate Worlds
- Shadows Over Amsterdam
- An impressive venture in the creation of a full city environment for all WoD denizens. A work in progress, including descriptions of political strucutres, maps, and RL correspondences. Also has an associated mailing list for contributors.
Archives and Links
- World of Darkness MUSHes, part of Julian's Majority of MUSHes
- I've got to admit, I have a preference for face-to-face gaming as opposed to role-play online, but I also know that when the pickings are slim on the home front a few weeks of fixing via the internet can also be mighty fun. With that in mind, here's one good source of WoD MUSHes online. For those of you unfamiliar with MU*s, imagine ZORK with many people wandering through the Kingdom simultaneously, interacting, and changing the world around them. And you get to write the code that makes the world what it is. For those of you not familiar with ZORK, check out WinFrotz
- Bork's Wraith Page
- An excellent collection of Wraith links and some interesting homegrown work on the Legions. Also a very cleanly designed site.
- Rick Jones's Coming Attraction FAQ
Want to know what's coming up in the World of Darkness? Rick regularly puts together updates on materials in various stages of development, from rumoured to released, including descriptions and developer comments. UPDATE The FAQ has been adopted by Shadowmancer at Ex Libris Nocturnis. Directly available at: Coming Attractions FAQ
One of the mainstays of the World of Darkness on the web, B.J. Zanzibar's contains extensive archives of new disciplines, gifts, kiths, talisman's, arcanoi, bloodlines, etc., as well as a well organized list of links to sites covering the whole breadth of the WoD.
While not a World of Darkness site, per se, Women in Gaming may prove to be a very useful resource for the Storyteller games, a system that seems to have (Thank the deity(ies) of your choice) more than the expected share of double-X chromosome bearing players. Here you can find information for female gamers, reviews by women, and comments on gender and gaming.UPDATE Another one gone missing. If anyone knows if this site has been relocated, please let me know.
- Patman's Gateway to the World of Darkness
A great source of info for players of Vampire: the Masquerade, with information on the genealogies of the known Kindred, a World of Darkness Timeline, and much more.UPDATE New URL

The Web of Darkness
One of the larget collections of Vampire and other WoD links. Definitely worth a scan.
- Paul Strack's World of Darkness Page
- Ever wondered if there were better population demographics for Vampires, Werewolves, and other critters? How about the exchange rate between freebie points and experience points? Want to see another version of New Orleans? Or an Indian bloodline besides the Najaraja? Maybe even an exploration of the finances of the dead? All of these things can be found at Paul's. While low on formatting, this site is very high on content.UPDATE Another one gone missing. If anyone knows if this site has been relocated, please let me know.
- There's so much to say about this site, brought to you by the makers of the entire Storyteller system, but most important is that it keeps getting better. Not only does the site present canon material in the form of FAQs, it also has commentary by game designers, downloads of starter kits (stripped down versions of the game suitable for quick learning and play), a timetable of upcoming releases, as well as excerpts.
Journals
- Critical Miss: The Magazine for Dysfunctional Roleplayers
- Is it a World of Darkness site? No. Is it funny? Yes.
- A monthly on-line journal with nifty articles, interviews with WW folks and others, book reviews, chats, forums, and the beginnings of a WoD Yahoo style search engine. IMHO A solid site, both in presentation and content. Also, now the home of the Coming Attractions FAQ.
- The Elysium
- It might still be getting up to speed, but from where it's already standing I'm impressed. In short Elysium is an e-zine devoted to writing about White Wolf Gaming Studios products, especially those regarding the World of Darkness. They have the beginnings of interesting archives, including MSWord formatted character sheets, and articles on things like giving criticism to a story-teller, and more. Definitely a site to watch. UPDATE Unfortunately, a site to watch no more. DNS can't find www.the-elysium.com as of 12/22/99.
Paradigma is an online journal devoted to role-playing games of darker worlds, including those produced by White Wolf and GDW. Currently they have an introduction to a version of India By Night, an examination of the success of and precursors to the Storyteller system.
UPDATE Unfortunately, a site to watch no more. DNS can't find www.fantasylink.com as of 12/22/99.
LARPS, Cons and Specific Games
- Blacklight Productions
- Promote your friends! This is the home page for Blacklight Productions, which is preparing to run their second convention LARP, the followup to the rather successful Shorecon '98 Tale of Two Princes. If you'll be in the Northeast in September, I strongly recommend checking it out. UPDATE: Blacklight will (I hope, since I'd like to trip down to see it) be running a game at MonCon2000 in March of 2000. Details on their page.
- The Camarllia Official Fan-club
- With the change in management at the Cam, their web-presence is getting restructured and recreated. This is the main page at White-wolf
