I love Asimov's writing in general but Foundation
is by far my favorite. Asimov was called a "grand master" for a reason;
read this or any other of the series, you will see
why.

An motivating and thought provoking piece of work that
I stumbled upon at the library. It is also the inspiration for this web
site. Card offers straight forward suggestions
nearly every aspect of SF/Fantasy writing here.

Most excellent. This is the final book in the series
and is the perfect end to Covenant's trials in and beyond "the land" as
well as within himself.

This was the first book of Stephen King's that I read
and was a true turning point for me and reading. Before this book
I swore that I did not like to read. I opened it at around five P.M.
when I next looked up, it was four o'clock in the morning. I've been
an avid reader ever since.

LeGuin is a true spellbinder as enthralling as King or
Donaldson yet so unlike these others as to be in a class all her own.
Her humor and insight combine to make her a true visionary.

This would be my favorite favorite McCaffrey novel.
She tugs on the emotions in a manner unlike any one. Others spellbind
or chill, McCaffrey goes straight into the heart and mind of the reader
to make you care for the plight of the characters.

I read this story in OMNI Magazine back in Oct 85 and it has stayed with me ever since. Until recently, I had no idea who had written it. After emailing OMNI I received a copy. I searched the net via Yahoo armed with his name and found him instantly. I had no idea that he was such a celebrated author. Winner of the Nebula, nominated for the Hugo and with several other works to his credit, it is no wonder that this story is a masterpiece. "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking it up" |
