Heroes & Villains - Krasov
Krasov - 3rd Level Halfling Sage
Description & Background
Krasov is a halfling of middling years (he owns up to being 92 if pushed) with spiky reddish hair kept out of his hair with a twist of gold wire. He stands about three foot tall in his bare, hairy feet and weighs in at a geneorous 70 pounds. He owns a small shop in an alley of off Merchant's Row in Thyatis. The shop is seems even smaller when you have ducked through the doorway. The walls are lined with cases and shelves. Buckets of odd items nestling in sawdust stand next to chests bound in iron with three or four padlocks on them. The shop is dark. The only window is grimy and half blocked with items strung from the ceiling. It is said that you will never find the shop if you ask for it, only if you are taken there by one of his friends. Of course this is just a silly rumour put about by Krasov himself. He tends to wear a red and gold jacket over green trousers and a white shirt. About his neck hangs a magnifying lens on a length of red cord. His voice is slightly tremulous and he is nervous when meeting people for the first time though once he gets the measure of a visitor he is not afraid to utter cutting remarks about anything from the visitors dress sense to his parentage. He offers fair prices unless he feels the seller or buyer has something to hide or is rude. He also gives valuations for 5% of the items value.
Krasov has an artistic bent and will often buy paintings that catch his eye though none are displayed in his shop.
He always complains of a 'cash flow crisis' but he seems to be able to scratch together enough coins to buy that special item when he wants to. He is good friends with Boomer, co-owner of the Grey Minstrel tavern and if anyone threatens Krasov, Boomer will come to his aid.
