Kisses for my Angel
I'd kiss you in the rain To Evialla with Love, from Geijon
or on a moonlit night.
I'd kiss you in the evening
with an overcast sky
because when I'm with you
the sky opens wide
streaming with light
I'll kiss you always
and look into your eyes,
for you are my angel..
tender and loving.
I'll hold you in my heart for all time and all eternity.
For you are my love. The one and only..
by Geijon Khyree
I vow to thee, my country--all earthly things above--
Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love;
The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test,
That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.
And there's another country, I've heard of long ago--
Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;
We may not count her armies, we may not see her King;
Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;
And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase,
And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace.

Opportunity
This I beheld, or dreamed it in a dream:
There spread a cloud of dust along the plain;
And underneath the cloud, or in it raged
A furious battle, and men yelled,
and sword shocked upon swords and shields.
A prince's banner wavered,
then staggered backward, hemmed by foes.
A craven hung along the battles edge,
And thought, "Had I a sword of keener steel ~
That blue blade that the king's son bears,
~But this blunt thing ~!"
He snapt and flung it from his hand,
And lowering, crept away and left the field.
Then came the king's son, wounded, sore bestead,
And weaponless, and saw the broken sword,
Hilt~buried in the dry and trodden sand,
And ran and snatched it, ~And with battle shout
Lifted afresh he hewed his enemy down,
And saved a great cause that heroic day.

Dead Warriors Fighting
Towards the pass they gallop. These men and women in shining armor and in rusted armor. Veterans of a thousand battles and untrained boys and girls ride side by side. Some of this horde may yet be called young, but know they are men and women in spirit, and they go to do the work of men and women since time immemorial. Every one of them knows that death inhabits this pass, but onward they press. "Why?" you ask. They seek not gold, nor fame, nor glory. There is no glory in war. Those who call it "glorious" have never seen it. But there are yet reasons to fight. Duty. Honor. Loyalty. These words are the reasons why the true fighters rouse to the armcry, and follow the banner of their nation towards the sounds of war.
And so it came to be.
From every corner of this land, they come to fight on this day. Giantmen from the plains. Dwarves from their caves in the mountains. Humans from their cities. Elves from their own cities. Sylvans from the forests. Dark Elves from their caves. Halflings from their burrows. This is as mismatched a band as any ever seen. They should not work together, but they do. For they are united in a common purpose, and a common knowledge. They know for a certainty that none of them will survive, but every single one of them vows in the privacy of their own minds that they will not pass Lorminstra's gates without an honor guard of slain enemies. They know they will carry the banner of their nation proudly. They know they will die a warrior's death in the defense of their peoples.

The Final Decision of a Warlord
Chaos claims this piece of the mountains. On the wind comes the din of steel on steel, the screams of the dead and dying, and the rage of a people embattled. The angelic-looking armies surround the last bastion of resistance, where a tenth of a fraction of the last resistance army fights on. Under seige they have fought for several months, but their supplies are running out. Their enemies know this and press the attack, yet they give not one step of ground before it is soaked in blood. Those who fight the angelic soldiers believe that they carry with them the last hope of humanity. If they fall, all falls.
The commanders look out on the surrounding armies, and on the crucibles they have erected. Their faces grim, they turn to their leader and wait for his commands. He stands there unmoving, his shoulders bowed under the weight of the lives of his men and the burden of defending humanity's future. Slowly his shoulders firm, his head rises up, and he turns to his lieutenants with eyes of fire and determination. "Death comes to all men.", he says, and his subordinates nod. "Our ancestors have a tale of a force that went to Jamgwin Pass to turn back the forces of darkness. The entire force rode to their deaths willingly to buy time for the armies of the nations of those days to assemble. We have been pushed back and no longer defend the lands those warriors of yore defended, but we still stand for the ideals they supported. We shall die as they did. The legion shall charge.", said the commander, on that last day.

Stoneheart and a Flower
Through a meadow a gay maiden runs, happy and carefree in the content of the young. She stops suddenly when she spies a tall man in armor and with sword and shield standing next to a tall dappled stallion and staring in a small pool. She walks closer unobtrusively, intrigued by this strange man. As she watches, the man slowly withdraws a wrapped package from the saddlebags on his stallion, and drops it in the pool. He says, "Here you go Joachim. You often told me of this place, and how you hoped to return here. I failed you by not guarding your back closely enough. I let you die, but I hope this can alleviate some of the debt that I owe you. Please forgive me.". With that, he turns away and sees the young woman leaning against a tree trunk for the first time. He gives a start and suddenly has his sword in hand and is staring at her with wild eyes. The girl says, "Who are you?". The man returns his sword to its scabbard angrily and says, "I am Idatem, and why did you sneak up on me?". The girl says, "I saw you and was curious. I am sorry about your friend.". The man looks at her for a long time, and finally says, "Yes. I'm sorry about him too. Now if you'll excuse me?". He starts to walk past her, leading his horse. The girl stops him with a quick touch on his shoulder. "Will you be in town, Idatem?", she asks. "Yes", he replies wearily. The girl says, "I would like to talk with you again.". Idatem says to her, "Girl, in my heart, I cultivate dust and stones. Nothing and noone will ever grow in there again. Even if affections were able to grow in it again, I would have only an axe, an urn and a set of armor as a bridegift. Not a fitting gift for any woman.". With that, he walked off, with the girl staring after him. Her lips curve into a small smile, and she says, "Little do you know Idatem.". She continues on gaily.

Waiting for the Time
Beneath the swirling violet skies
The silence was deep in the chill of the glade
Lumnis pondered the curious sky
Hard shuddered the lands on that misty morn
Beneath the gods lofty gaze
The powers on high with a gleam in their eye
The hidden one too, in the shadows stayed near
Through youthful days of hunting and learning
Her days were filled with adventures and questing
Twas he who stayed hidden and leaned on his blade
Perched high above, Gazing and protecting
His hair blazing a golden brown
He stood in shadow, walked the light
A man of fame, but of humble beginings
Rising above the others in a circle of light
Love eternal, love immortal
He stood among the peaks, blade in hand
Alone he found her sitting one night
"Come and dance with me", said he..
Clasping her hand gently in his, An unfinished work, By the way, lovie..your turn again. All That I Want
All that I want... To Geijon with Love, from Evialla The Heart I Gave to You
Soft as the wing of a dove brushing across your cheek, To Geijon with Love, from Evialla A Dance of Hearts
the mist shrouded lands lay still
Gazed upon by gods eyes
and the mortals at their will.
While deep in the shadows a hidden one stayed
and leaned upon his blade.
Wrenched forth from the void a spirit child was born
Brought forth from the swirling haze.
watched the young spirit child grow
They guarded her fate and stayed close by
For her destiny they did know.
as she struggled along her way
Within his heart he held her dear
And he watched her through night and day.
with the gods chuckling down from above
her maiden heart, ever searching and yearning
for someone to cherish and love.
while from afar through a telescope the hidden one gazed
as she sat quietly near a well, resting
unaware of him watching as his blue eyes blazed.
Watching the curious child
Strong, noble and brave, his fortune he made
Ever laughing, joyful, free and wild.
His blade at his side, sparkling with a sharp shine
He watched the child, ever playing
Waiting for the time..
ever watching, ever waiting as the sun blazed
always a shadow, at the maiden's side
Waiting for the time..
ever growing in strength and might
whispering words of dedication, nods of understanding
Waiting for the time..
thought of as a brother, but loved as a companion
handsome and daring, fighting and striving, always at her side
Waiting for the time..
he stood staring at the beauty before him
gazing and smiling in secretly held amazement
Waiting for the time..
it began to grow
slowly, but brightly
they knew it to be true, but they must stand
Waiting for the time..
gazing and watching as she traveled down her path
growing and learning by the guidence of a man as he sat
Waiting for the time..
Her soft heart was saddened, he knew
Gazing tenderly into her eyes, tear-sparkling bright
Brow furrowed, he wondered at what he should do
"I'll let no harm come to you."
Her heart thumping wildly, "Yes", said she..
For she always had wanted to.
through the night they danced
Laughter ringing, eyes glancing, hands touching,
sharing soft whispers of feelings, unable to hide
No longer standing, waiting for the time.

Love, your Kitten.
To melt within the bright blue flame burning in your eyes.
To slip softly free of my own will beneath the caress of your lips.
To feel the warmth of your breath against my skin.
To tingle and thrill at your slightest touch.
To hear your voice whispering my name softly in my ear.
To sigh a deeply contented sigh within your arms.
To have your hand forever within reach of my own.
To give my heart and all it holds in love and trust.
All that I want, is you.
by Evialla Violetskye~Khyree
Delicate as a downy feather, tossed about in the breeze,
Fragile as a snowflake fallen on your wrist,
Vulnerable as a new born kitten..hold it oh so gently,
cherish it, nurture it.
Pure in the love it holds and gives,
...the heart I gave to you.

The trees rustled slightly from a vague and distant wind. One lone figure stood silently against the backdrop, her gaze penetrating even the darkest corners. She knew she was being watched, but her senses could not quite tell from where.
The Shadow Mare watched her from a distance, weighing her armor and strength. This one would be an easy target, she was battling an internal conflict, her mind and heart was not entirely there. Moving just slightly, the Mare stepped forward a bit, his nostril's flaring in anticipation.
Evia Aramanthia stared into the dark night dully. Something was out there watching her, she knew this, and she did not care. She glanced up into the night and sighed. This is most certainly where she belonged. The eternal night of the forest, emanating with evil is where she wanted to die. Lorminstra would not grant her favor this time, she was sure of it. Gripping her falchion with new force, Evia waited.
A great hawk lifted itself from the trees and flew fast toward the dawn sky beyond the dark evil cemetery. Faster and faster the wind carried the hawk further and further from the lands of Elanthia and into the heavens of the Gods. The Hawk finally stopped just inside the gardens, it's wings expanded and suddenly became the arms of a woman. The torso lengthened into the body, and finally the head shaped itself into a stunning young woman, with eyes more ancient than the skies and stars she had flown through.
"Lumnis!", she shouted bravely, "Lumnis, come quickly!"
"What on Elanthia has you so flustered, Lorminstra?", Ronan asked as he stepped away
from a tree he had been examining closely. His eyes swirled fiercely in excitement. To
have Lumnis being summoned like this was a rare occasion.
"Where is she?", Lorminstra demanded. Ronan blinked at her and shrugged his shoulders.
"She has been keeping to herself for months now. I do not presume to ask the Queen of the Gods where she spends her time. Nor do I presume to shout out demands of her presence.", Ronan chuckled.
She has to come...she..."
I do not have to do anything." Lumnis sighed as she shimmered into sight. Her eyes glanced about the garden taking note of everyone in attendance of this particular spectacle. "I do hope you have a good reason for this outrageous display."
Lumnis...I found her." Lorminstra whispered softly.
Lumnis blinked and stepped forward, her eyes suddenly showing great interest. Evia, you found Evia?"
Lorminstra nodded weakly, tears shimmering within her eyes.
Where is she?" Lumnis demanded, her voice emanating impatience.
She has hidden herself deep within the graveyard. Near Shadow Mares...." her voice faltered and trailed off.
Shadow Mares!" Lumnis exclaimed. Why would she go to that evil place? She will find herself dead!" Closing her eyes, Lumnis attempted to regain some of her composure.
"They will most certainly kill her...she is too young to be there." she sighed in resignation and shook her head. Her heart is broken, and she has no sense. I forgive her that. If she
falls, you will take her to your temple and keep her there as long as possible until I can figure something out." Lumnis instructed Lorminstra harshly. "I can mend many things,
but broken hearts is not something I can help with."
Lumnis, I can't." Lorminstra stated sadly.
"What do you mean?"
Lorminstra shrank a little from Lumnis, her eyes swelling with more tears. "She has no favor and demands none. I can not give her life when she so willing wants it over with."
"You can't..." Lumnis started, but her voice trailed off. Even she knew the rules that Lorminstra was bound to.
"I'm sorry Lumnis, but she has resigned herself to die out there and give up her life. There is nothing I can do for her." Lorminstra tears gathered more and finally spilled over into
the garden. Lumnis smiled vaguely and stepped forward. She brushed away the tears and kissed Lorminstra's cheek.
"You have done enough, you have found her. We have not lost her soul yet, do not mourn."
With those words, Lorminstra nodded gravely, and transformed back into a large hawk, swooping away. Lumnis stared blankly into the disappearing sight and sighed heavily.
"Lumnis..." Ronan stepped away from his tree once again, his dark mist eyes swirling softly in sadness. "You must let me go to her. I can help her...I can...."
Lumnis shook her head and stepped into the shadows, her form already shimmering. "You will not interfere this time Ronan. This is my chore, and I shall deal with it. If Evia's heart truly has given up, then the Gods and Goddesses can not help her." Her form shimmered more.
"but Lumnis!" Ronan protested vainly. "You cannot let her do this!"
"Do not interfere Ronan! I command everyone....do not interfere." Lumnis stated before shimmering completely away from sight.
Ronan watched solemnly and sighed heavily, his own eyes misting over with tears. Leya moved forward and touched Ronan gently on the shoulder.
"Do not worry Ronan, we may not be permitted to interfere with Evia, but there are other ways." Leya smiled reassuringly.
Her eyes weary, Evia blinked her eyes heavily. It had been a long time since she had heard anything. Her mind was tired, and she wanted nothing more than to curl up and take a long sleep. But the warrior within her heart firmly stood it's ground. She would meet death fighting, not sleeping. Her dignity would not allow her to curl into a ball and cry. Her soul demanded to meet it's end fighting bravely any unfortunate evil being that
happened her way. The Mare Steeds. She had heard stories of their strength and ferocious bites, their crushing kicks, and terrifying charges. Even their magical abilities tested any
soul that wandered in their domain.
A crackle beyond the dark trees, snapped her senses back to her surroundings. She peered vainly and made out the dark red eyes of what only could be a huge Shadow Mare. It's eyes locked to hers firmly as they sized each other up. Evia had proven herself to be a great warrior. She had battled many evil beings that roamed the lands. But never before had she met a match such as this. It's form shadowed within the dark, making it's
appearance hard to make out. It's red eyes locked into her as fire flared from it's nostrils. It was trying to reach some dark corner of her mind, trying to find her deepest fear and
feed itself from it. Gripping her falchion heavily and using her shield, Evia stood her ground. Her eyes never wavering from the cold evil stare.
With one dip of the head, the Shadow mare burst from it's shadow charged her with an amazing speed. She vaulted to her left quickly and regained her ground. As the mare turned around, she slashed at it's backside quickly, making a narrow scratch in it's rump. Stinging slightly, the Shadow Mare dug a hoof into the ground and locked eyes with her once again. With one swooping motion, she brought her falchion down once again,
toward the head. The mare calculating her actions, shadowed itself into the dark, making it hard to calculate where it's exact critical position was. Her falchion swished through
clean air, knocking Evia slightly off guard. Taking the advantage, the Mare lifted up it's front legs and crashed down, knocking Evia to the ground. Her head bounced against the
cold ground, and she felt her abdomen ripping open. The mare satisfied, quickly raised it's legs once more. Evia gripped her shield, and rolled swiftly to her right as the mare came thundering down, narrowly missing her. She shakily stood up and raised her falchion once again and took a clean swipe towards it's neck. The mare reared back, taking the brunt of her attack in the chest and right fore leg. It backed up slightly, fire
flaming once again from it's nostrils.
Evia glared at the Mare, daring for another charge. She was vaguely aware that she was bleeding badly, and her blood loss was starting to make her dizzy. She was sure that her end was near, and she wanted to make sure that this mare followed her.
"Come on!" She shouted daringly.
The mare reared back and snorted once again. It slowly stepped back away from her, dipping it's head. It charged her once again and this time it's body shimmered completely out of sight for a moment, throwing her calculations off. Before she could swing, a hoof slammed hard into her chest, knocking her backwards and thudding her to the ground once again. Looking up, Evia saw into it's eyes once again, her chest was pounding and her whole body ached. One hoof landed on her arm, pinning her firmly to the ground. Evia boldly looked into the Mare's eyes, wanting only to stare her enemy in the eye as the final blow comes crashing down.
The mare made a terrible shrieking sound as it's jaws opened wide and it's head dipped down towards her.
"No!" From the shadows a large warrior rushed into view and charged right into the mare, knocking it over. With a swift acrobatic kick, he pummeled a rib into the mare's lungs. The Shadow Mare stood up angrily and backed away from the man. It's nostrils flaring angrily.
With one swift motion, the mare charged it's new opponent, knocking him a few paces, then taking a bite out of one of his arm. The man stood his ground and brought about another firm kick to the mare's head. The mare reared back and made another dashing kick, bringing the giant down to the ground.
Evia struggled to her feet, her vision blurred and her head swimming with nausea. She could barely make out the form of the Giant and the Mare, but with one last ounce of strength she brought her falchion up and slashed it's neck firmly. The mare stumbled once and then fell to the ground writhing in it's last moments, wracked in pain.
Dropping her falchion to the ground, Evia swayed slightly, then dropped to her knees. Her abdomen, chest and right arm gushing with blood, and her head swelling heavily with bruises. She glanced down at the Mare, clutching her abdomen, she smiled in
triumph.
"Evia!" The man rushed beside her just in time to ease her fall to the ground. Evia blinked and stared in amazement.
"Geijon?" she whispered in disbelief. "I got em Geijon...he'll travel to hell before I will." Evia smiled and closed her eyes, feeling the last of her blood leak from her wounds. Her
consciousness fading, and the last thing she heard was Geijon's plea.
"You're gonna be fine Evia...yer gonna be just fine."
Evia winced at the harsh sounds suddenly invading her deep sleep. She opened her eyes and blinked against the harsh daylight. It had been weeks since she had seen the sun, and
she had not planned on seeing it again. Closing her eyes, she struggled to remember what had happened and how she had landed herself back into the town of Wehnimer's. The mare had just about killed her when Geijon...her thoughts trailed off. Evia opened her eyes again and quickly sat up, regretting it almost immediately as waves of nausea consumed her.
"Careful." Geijon warned taking her arm and helping her lay back down. "Yer still a bit weak." His eyes smiled softly, obviously thrilled with her recovery. Evia could only stare at him in disbelief.
"How did I get here?"
"I brought you here. You almost died out there. I managed to stop your bleeding and then I was able to get you fogged back to town." Geijon stated proudly. He studied her closely for a moment then furrowed his brows. "What were you doing out there anyway?"
Evia slowly let his words sink in, growing angrier by the second. "Why did you do that?", she screamed angrily.
Geijon blinked and sat back a bit. "What do you mean?" He stared at her for a moment.
"Evia...you have no favor, do you?" he asked.
Evia closed her eyes in an attempt to hide her tears. "You should have left out there." she whispered. "You should have let me die."
"No!" Geijon gently wrapped his arm around her and shook his head. "Bad times, that's all it is. Things will get better, you'll see."
Angrily, she shoved him away and stood up a bit shakily. "Did I ask you to save me?"
"What's come over you!" Geijon stood up and grabbed her shoulders gently. "You can't do this to yourself, I won't let you do this."
Evia stared at him blankly for a moment then smiled sadly. "It's okay Geijon. I'll be fine, I just need to go and rest a bit." Evia kissed him softly on the cheek.
"Stay and rest a bit Evia." Geijon pleaded.
"I have some errands. I'll see you later, don't worry, I won't leave town again today." She assured him. Geijon looked doubtful but nodded his head solemnly.
"Promise me you'll come find me before you try anything like that again."
Evia stared at him for a moment and then smiled. "Don't worry about me Geijon, you can't watch over me forever."
Geijon watched her go, and sighed deeply. "I can sure try." he muttered underneath his breath.
For hours, Evia found herself wandering throughout the town of Wehnimer. Unsure of where she wanted to go. Slowly she walked along all the streets and wandered in and out of many of the local stores. The pawnshop's backroom where various items lay on the table for sale. Many patrons bargained and argued over this and that. Items and coins continually were exchanged. Evia nodded vaguely to the younger ones that kindly curtsied and bowed to her in respect. They were not accustomed to seeing many of the nobles visit the backroom of the pawnshop very often. Old memories of her own childhood drifted casually through the room. Most of her first armor and weapons came from this pawn shop.
"M'Lady, you looking for a nice dagger?" A young boy smiled as he showed her his drake dagger.
Evia smiled vaguely and shook her head. "No thank you."
"Then perhaps a white flask?" He asked eagerly. "It's fresh and brand new. I be happy to sell for a good price."
Evia smiled and was just about to turn him down again, but she found herself reaching into her satchel and pulled out a roll of coins. "How about 1000 for the flask?"
The young man beamed as he fumbled with his sheath as he stored his dagger away and then pulled a flask from his backpack. "Thank-you very much M'lady! Thankee kindly!"
They exchanged items and the young man left quickly. "Probably on his way to the bank," Evia thought mildly. "At least he has the sense to do that." With one last look around, Evia left the pawn shop with the flask resting firmly in the palm of her hand.
As she walked, she wondered what possessed her to buy the young man's flask. She had two in her satchel, and she certainly wasn't in the position of needing them lately.
She spent all her time hunting alone, with the exception of her son Tatey once in a while. And of course, when others like Geijon decided to dodge in to save the day. She smiled as she thought Geijon. She was still angry with him, but she couldn't help but smile to think of him. She had known him for so long, it would be impossible to be angry with him for very long.
Evia wandered around town in a daze. The flask in one hand and her mind on all those she had grown to love. Where was that happiness that had filled her up so completely? Why couldn't those same people fill that void? What did her life mean here anymore? Growing very tired and weary, Evia sank down to the ground. She barely took notice of the dark alley that she was in, or the danger she was in by just sitting here without her
guard up. It didn't matter much anymore, she decided firmly. Nothing mattered anymore.
Evia gazed up into the night sky and wiped a tear from her eye.
"Lumnis..." she whispered softly. "Why have you forsaken me?" Evia leaned her head against the brick wall behind her and glanced down at the flask in her hands, a deep anger suddenly overtaking her. With one violent motion, she hurled the flask away from her and watched it crash into the opposite wall. The flask shattered and the potion inside trickled down.
"Why have you forsaken me?" Evia screamed. Nobody answered her. The night sky was silent. Her heart had never felt so alone. Choking back her tears, Evia buried her head in her arms and rocked gently back in forth. She was so tired, she just wanted to sleep...she wanted to sleep forever.
"You want how much for that?"
"5K, tis a good sack M'lord. Has a variety of herbs. Acantha leaf, ambrom..."
Geijon burst into laughter and shook his head. "Peddle yer wares elsewhere. You'll not get a coin from me."
The young man was unruffled, and persisted in following Geijon. "But M'Lord. A great warrior such as yerself, would have need of such healing herbs as these. For a mere 4K this sack can heal ya many times over."
"I am as old as I am by knowing how to stay out of such trouble, young man. And your herbs I do not need."
"Ahh, but everyone needs herbs! Even the oldest in the lands loves a good dose of Acantha leaf. Just a mere 3.5K, tis all I ask for the time I have spent foraging...."
"If I needed or wanted herbs young man, I would get em from the herbalist. I know the quality of his herbs. Yours I do not." Geijon shook his head and continued to stroll along the square. He watched lazily at the people moving in and out of the town square. He was hoping to catch Evia around here. Geijon continued to study the crowd, barely taking notice of the young peddler continuing to rant about his sack of herbs.
"Geijon!" A voice erupted from the crowd. "Geijon!"
Geijon turned to see Tatey from a distance. A bit of panic rose up in him.
"3K M'Lord...3K and the sack is yours!"
"Young man, if you don't take yourself and your sack away from me, I will make sure it is you who will be needing them herbs." Geijon spoke harshly. "Do yourself a favor. Give that sack of herbs to the empaths at town square central.. Then go find yourself an honorable job around town. But whatever you do, do it away from me."
With that, Geijon walked away from the stunned lad and motioned to Tatey. They met with a quick handshake as usual, but gone from Tatey's face was the bright and cheery smile that Geijon had grown to love and know.
"How are ya Tatey?" Geijon asked.
"I'm fine, but I was hoping perhaps that you might have seen my mother. I haven't seen her for weeks...and I heard today that you brought her back from Shadow Mares, near death..."
Geijon frowned for a minute. After Evia had left him, he had assumed she went to find Tatey. The two of them were very close and she always went out of her way to find him as soon as she returned from a journey.
"Well, It is true...I brought her back to town just today. She left me at the North gate. I assumed that she went to find you."
Tatey shook his head and sighed heavily. "I haven't seen her. She wouldn't have gone back out on a trip...would she?"
Geijon thought for a moment and shook his head in reassurance. "Not without seeing her favorite son, I'm sure." He smiled. "Being away from town for that time, she probably had
many errands and things to get off her back before she came to see you. But in any case, keep a look out for her. I will see what I can do to find her, okay?"
Tatey nodded, but still looked terribly worried. "What was she doing in the Shadow Mare territory?"
"I don't know, but don't worry, I'm sure she's still around town somewhere." Geijon patted Tatey's arm and started to walk away. Tatey grabbed his arm and glanced at him.
"Geijon, I'm worried. She hasn't been herself lately. She seems to have....I don't know, lost something."
Geijon nodded his head. "I know Tatey. We'll find her. You keep looking around town. I'm gonna check one other place out. I'll let you know if I find anything out."
Tatey sighed and nodded his head. "Thanks Geijon."
Evia heard a strange crackling sound. Someone must be coming, she thought. Who would be traveling in this dark alley, was beyond her comprehension. Slowly, she lifted her head and glanced around. There didn't appear to be anyone, but in that didn't matter much. She reached down to pull her falchion from her sheath, but the both the sheath and falchion were gone. Her heart raced and she glanced around her. Evia stood up shakily
and suddenly felt her heart stop. Her backpack and cloak was gone. As if someone had managed to strip her of everything she had. She was wearing only a white robe now. Blinking back tears, Evia felt the last of her sanity slip slowly away from her.
What sort of magic could have done this to her? What soul had been able to strip everything from her? Evia glanced up and down the alley once again. Still, she saw no one and nothing, but that strange crackling sound was fading and in it's a place, a slow steady hum. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a dull faint glow emanating from across the alley. The same place she had shattered the flask, was now growing into something more.
Feeling totally defenseless and out of place, Evia watched the glow brighten and grow. The last thing on her mind was to run. On the contrary, she wanted to see this magical creature. She had to know what sorcery had accomplished this task.
The glow brightened and grew larger, slowly taking a more definable shape. The white light sparkled with blue and violet colors. The sight was breathtaking. Slowly, the light faded away to reveal a figure of a woman. The woman was tall and she wore a simple
light grey gossamer robe. Her hair was as black as coal with only one light streak of grey. Evia gasped in surprise and fell to her knees. She not only recognized this woman, but had prayed to her countless times throughout the years.
"Lumnis." She whispered fearfully. Her voice caught in her throat. What else could she say to the Goddess?
Lumnis stared at Evia blankly for a moment, then stepped forward and gently guided Evia back to her feet.
"Why do you bow before me? Why do you bestow such honor on one that you say has forsaken you?" Lumnis asked inquisitively.
"I. . ." Evia was at a loss for words. I did not mean to offend you."
"I take offense only to the matter that brings you to this dark alley. You have lost yourself Evia." Lumnis gazed sadly at her, penetrating her with dark eyes that had more knowledge than Evia could ever dream about. "And in answer to your question, I have
not forsaken you. It is you that has forsaken yourself."
Evia looked away, ashamed. "I have nothing left. . ." she whispered. "What good am I now to anyone?"
Lumnis clasped Evia's hand gently, and guided her away from the dark alley."My child, you have more than you could ever want. It is here, in this town that you call your home. It is out in the wilds that you have fought proudly to protect. It is your family that you have grown to cherish."
Suddenly the surroundings shifted and the two of them were walking slowly around Town Square. The square was crowded as usual, but no one seemed to see the two of them. Not even Evia's closest friends and family stopped to pass her a glance.
"Those things that I have listed Evia, they are all apart of something that you have not acknowledged for some time. It is all your soul, and that is all you need. That is what you
came into this world with, and that is what has made you survive. Do you think that your loved ones, and the treasures you have collected make your life substantial here? Is this
what you live here for?"
Lumnis pointed to the old well, where a lot of friends and family were gathered. "They are a part of your soul, and you are a part theirs. Your death will not change that. It is easy to see them as the reason for your life. Do you limit yourself to such things?"
Evia's eyes glistened over with tears. She did miss them so much. She missed the fun and the laughter. The adventures and even the tears. Something she had not been able to share with any of them for some time.
The surroundings shifted once again and Evia found herself back in the Alley. Lumnis at her side.
"I can not give you answers Evia. Nor will I tell you how to live . . . or even how to die if that is your wish. But I have not, and I will never forsake you Evia. But before your heart
can get better, you must once again find your soul. No one on Elanthia can do that for you, my child." Lumnis kissed Evia softly on the cheek and stepped away. Her form already dimming and fading into nothing. "In order to live Evia, you must find your soul."
Evia lifted her head from her knees and was slightly disoriented. A dream, she thought to herself. She had a very strange dream, but already it was receding back to the recesses of her mind. Groggily she looked down to find her armor, sheath and her own clothes still attached firmly in place. She looked over to the opposite wall to see the smashed white flask. Something had happened in her dream. Someone had come to talk with her, but who?
Standing up a bit shakily, Evia stretched out the last bit of sleep from her bones. For some odd reason, she felt some how renewed and revitalized. She had a mission. She remembered that from her dream. She had to find something.
"Mom!" Tatey shouted excitedly. "Mom!"
Evia closed the door to the temple firmly and glanced down to see her son waving excitedly at her.
She beamed proudly at the sight of him. She met him half way between the cleric's shop and the temple. He picked her up and hugged her tightly.
"I was so worried!" He scolded. Evia smiled and kissed his cheek.
"I know. I'm sorry I was away so long."
Tatey let her go and stood back, a frown still played on his face. "But, Mom . . . Shadow Mares. . ."
Evia touched her finger to his lips and shook her head. "Someday I will explain. But not now. What's important is that I'm safe and so are you." She smiled proudly.
"I'm so glad your home!" Tatey took her arm and guided her through the busy streets. "I've missed you a lot. We should plan a little trip, just you and I."
"Tatey . . ." Evia grabbed his hand and stopped him. She took a ticket from her cloak and glanced at it. "I've already planned a trip. I'm going to Teras."
Tatey glanced down at the ticket in her hand and blinked. "Teras? What's on Teras?" A worried expression crossed his face. "Teras is much to dangerous Mom, you can't go there."
"I'm not going there to hunt." She reassured him gently. "I just need to get away for a while. A couple weeks that's all." Evia touched his cheek and smiled reassuringly. "You know I just love to shop. What better place than Teras?"
Tatey stared at her for a moment. Looking more like a lost child rather than the handsome Sorcerer he had become. He glanced down at the ticket once more and smiled mischievously. "Then I'm coming with you."
Evia blinked and started to protest.
"I haven't been to Teras...and I really want to go. Won't you take your son?" he interjected quickly.
Evia smiled and hugged him close. "Then get down to the ticket master, you have a ticket to buy."
Tatey beamed boyishly. "Tonight then?"
Evia nodded. "We leave tonight."
Geijon looked out the telescope into the town of Wehnimer's. He had been staring watching for hours, hoping to see some glimpse of Evia somewhere. Sighing heavily, he leaned back and stared at nothing. His mind wandering to the incedent with the Shadow
Mares. Shuddering involuntarily at the thought of what could have happened. He had known Evia longer than most of his friends in the lands. She was his angel, his home base, his true friend. But her sorrow now was something he didn't know how to help her
with.
He took another glance through the telescope, searching for her form through the crowds. He smiled inwardly at a memory of her form still residing in his head from way back when she had battled Kai. He blushed a bit at the memory. She had not been the strongest warrior. But what she had lacked in strength, she gained in beauty by ten fold. She had come to him nervously one dark night. Asked him to guide her to Kai's shrine so that she
could challenge Kai. It was a voln step, and he knew them well. They arrived at the shrine and she started to undress as was the rules. Blushing a bit, he had turned around.
She put a hand on his shoulder to let him know that she was ready to go in.
He had turned around slowly, and the memory of her form that night still burned in his soul. Her skin looked as soft as silk, and her red hair shining brightly by the stars. Her whole body glistened with the moonlight as it bathed her. Shaking slightly, he had taken his cloak and gently laid it over her shoulders. He couldn't say anything, but the look in his eyes had told her everything.
Smiling shyly, Evia had kissed him softly on the cheek and walked straight into the shrine. No fear, no anticipation, just a fortified attitude of her quest.
Sighing heavily, Geijon leaned back away from the telescope once again and slumped down to the floor. He hadn't slept well for months. Helping Evia with Voln steps, the Guild, even just spending time with her was something that he could do and do well. But to help her battered soul, broken heart...how could he help her with that when his own was in such disrepair?
Weary with frustration, Geijon leaned up against the wall and closed his eyes. He didn't want to sleep, but he hadn't slept for days. And something seemed to be pulling him down farther...his thoughts shifted and became jumbles. The Phoenix Observatory melted away. A soft voice from a distant memory called to him.
"Geijon...my brave warrior. Come to me."
Geijon opened his eyes to find himself at Leya's shrine. ALeya?" he whispered looking around.
"My brave Geijon. My guide...my warrior. Why are you so sad?" Leya's form shimmered into sight, appearing before him. Geijon almost wept at the sight of her.
"Leya, it's been so long! I've missed you so."
Leya smiled and touched his cheek. AAnd I have missed your company. But you are a warrior and you do not belong in this world with me."
"Why do you bring me here now?"
"Because a nice visit once in a while is allowed. I save them for when they are needed. And you seem to be in need now."
Geijon shook his head. "It is not me that is sad. A dear friend of mine...I don't know how to help her."
"Ahh, Evia. I know of her." Leya smiled and nodded her head. "Her sadness does run deep. But you are deceiving yourself. Why is your heart open to everyone but yourself?"
Geijon blinked in surprise. "What do you mean?"
Leya moved closer and reached inside his gauntlets and removed his trillion blossom. She twirled it around in her hands for a moment and smiled at Geijon knowingly.
"Do you remember so long ago? You searched for my shrine. You guided so many to find my home at last. Do you remember?"
Geijon nodded. How could I forget." he whispered.
"You had a heart then and you were not afraid to show it. You were not afraid to know your heart. That is what I loved most about you." Leya smiled and kissed him softly on the cheek. "It's time to wake up now."
"Wait...I don't understand..." Geijon said.
Leya's form shimmered and the surroundings dimmed.
"Leya! Wait!" he pleaded.
"You must open your heart again Geijon. What you feel is already there. Don't be afraid to grab it while you can."
"I don't understand..." He said again, darkness surrounding him.
The moon filtered into the observatory. Geijon opened his eyes in confusion. He took note of his surroundings, and vaguely tried to grasp where he was and what he was doing there. Evia. He had been looking for Evia, and had fallen asleep. How could he do that! He had promised Tatey he would find her, and instead had fallen asleep. Groaning furiously, he jumped up and left the observatory in frustration.
He went back to the square and started asking everyone that he knew if they had seen her. No one had. For a half hour he searched aimlessly. He tried his thought amulet, he tried
even strangers...no one had seen her or Tatey since early that afternoon.
"M'Lord Geijon!" The runner found him in front of the local inn. "M'Lord, I have a message for you. Lady Evia Aramathia has this message for you. I am to tell you that she looked for you this afternoon, but could not find you." The runner held out her note and smiled evenly. Geijon stared at it for a moment and took it slowly.
"Where is she?" He asked.
"I do not M'Lord, she did not say where she was going. Perhaps the note has some insight on that."
Geijon tore the seal from it's place and read the note quickly.
My dear Geijon,
How can thank-you for your friendship and never ending devotion? You saved me from myself and I will always be in your debt. I wish I could tell you in person today, but Tatey and I will be taking a journey together. We are visiting Teras Isle. Do not fear, my expedition will be a tame one. I am going to see the sights in town, not to battle. I hope to see you soon, and do not fear, I am well and safe. Tatey will see to that.
Love always,
Lady Evia
Geijon read the note once more and stuffed it in his pocket, and handed the runner some coins for her effort.
"The boat...the boat to Teras Isle...when does it leave?"
The runner blinked and looked up at the night sky.
"I believe that it has already left. If it has not, it will be shortly."
Without even a glance back, Geijon dashed off toward the docks, praying and hoping he wasn't too late.
"Hey mom...you coming inside or what?" Tatey asked. Evia smiled and shook her head.
She stared out at the sea and smelled it's salty air.
"I want to be out here for the trip. I want to see the stars and the moon underneath the night sky, I want to see them dance upon the sea."
Tatey smiled and stepped up next to her at the bow of the ship. He wrapped one arm around her to help keep the chill sea air off of her.
"Thank you for letting me come along. I really needed to get away myself."
Evia smiled at him and kissed his cheek. "I couldn't think of any better company right now. I'm glad you wanted to come." They both stared out toward the town of Wehnimer, watching as the slipped farther and farther from it. The night air getting even cooler. Evia could tell Tatey was freezing.
"Come on, let's go down below." Evia said with a smile. Tatey didn't seem to hear her though, he was staring at something on shore.
"Hey, isn't that Geijon?" He asked, pointing to a man waving at the shoreline. Evia squinted her eyes and smiled.
"I think it is..."
"I guess he got your note." Tatey said. "Came to wave goodbye." He chuckled a little and turned to go down below.
Evia stared at the figure of Geijon for a moment. A small tear welling up in her eyes. He kept waving, and perhaps shouting something, but he was too far away to be heard.
"Hey mom! It's freezing out there!" Tatey shouted.
Evia smiled and took a last glimpse of Geijon, knowing she would miss him most of all. She wave back at him and blew him a kiss, hoping he was not angry for her leaving him nothing but a note. She left the bow and joined Tatey inside the comfort of the boat.
"Evia wait!" Geijon shouted, knowing that it was too late. "I....I...." the words caught in his throat. What is it that made him dash here like a maniac? Why was he insistent upon
screaming out to the four winds? What was it that he wanted to say?
He could see Evia's form from the bow of the ship. Her hand lifted and waved to him, then she blew a kiss to him. With one final wave, she turned and went below the ship. Sighing sadly, Geijon watched the ship fade out of sight.
"I'll miss you Evia." He whispered into the night.
The days turned into weeks, and still Evia and Tatey had not returned from their trip. Once in a while a message would be delivered to Geijon, filled with messages of their
expeditions and adventures. The letters reminded him of how Evia use to be, her happiness and great love of her surroundings and friends. The letters only reminded him more of how much he longed for her, how much he missed her. He searched the letters
over and over for some hint of a date for their expected return, but there was none. He wandered down to the dock more than a dozen times ready to buy a ticket, but couldn't.
Evia had wanted and needed this time. How could he interrupt it so selfishly? So he waited patiently. Reading whatever words she cared to send to him. Reading them over and over again. Savoring them, memorizing them.
Wandering the town once again, Geijon happened by town square central and noticed a commotion at the well. He sauntered over and was shocked in surprise at seeing Evia and Tatey sitting there among many friends. Everyone was talking excitedly, and some were asking tons of questions in regard to their journey. Evia and Tatey were both gloating from happiness at both being back home and seeing so many friends. Geijon stood back a
ways and watched Evia for a few moments. She looked more alive than he had ever seen her. Her eyes danced with happiness. He felt relieved and excited to see her so happy once again.
Evia glanced up from her surroundings and her face lit up even more with excitement.
"Geijon!" She jumped up and ran towards him, her arms outstretched.
Geijon smiled and caught her up in his arms and hugged her tightly. "Hiya, Angel." he whispered.
"Oh, I've missed you so much!" She hugged him once more tightly and then let go. He wanted to sweep her off her feet, carry her somewhere quiet...tell her everything. Tell her how much he had missed her...tell her...
"I've so much to tell you! Teras was wonderful! Tatey and I had a ball!" Evia beamed excitedly. Then her expression grew serious for a moment. "And I also owe you an apology." She said with an ashamed smile. And a thank you."
Geijon smiled and shook his head. "You owe me nothing, Angel." He kissed her softly on her cheek and rubbed her arm gently. "I'm just happy to see you back."
Evia smiled and grasped his hand. "Can you join us for a bit? Or are you off on some errand?"
"M'Lady, I would like nothing better than to stay right here with you." He smiled.
They both went back to the crowd of friends, everyone talking all at once. Geijon didn't hear a word anyone said, he watched Evia as everyone else shared stories and adventures they had come across since she had been gone.
It was much later when the excitement died down, and everyone drifted slowly away from the well.
"I better be off to bed myself. What a long day I've had." Evia hugged Geijon and kissed him softly on the cheek. "You've been awfully quiet tonight...anything wrong?" She asked, suddenly worried.
Geijon shook his head and smiled. "No, nothing wrong."
"Then what's on your mind?" She asked with concern
"You", he said.
Evia blinked a bit, and then smiled. "And how do I invade your thoughts tonight?"
Geijon grinned mischeviosly and pulled her closer to him. "I was thinking about what you would say if I asked you out on a date."
Evia's smile widened even further. "Really?" she whispered.
"Evia, would you like to spend some time with me tomorrow night?"
"Yes, Geijon...I would." Evia hugged him tightly once more and wandered away from the well, feeling a bit lightheaded all of a sudden, but gloating in anticipation.
The next night was filled with talking. Geijon listened attentively as Evia told of her expeditions to Teras. They both reminisced of memories and times of long before. They talked of old loves, lost hearts, their greatest joys, and of friends long gone. They talked and found themselves amazed that they already knew each others stories. And even though they loved hearing them again, they both realized they had shared so much. And when words suddenly lost their meaning, they stared at each other for a few moments. It was so late, and they were both tired. Neither wanted to leave though. Scared that they would lose what they might have just found, but were afraid to say.
In their sudden silence, they heard a soft melody strike up from a different table. A bard perhaps practicing a solo. Geijon smiled softly and stood up slowly from his chair.
"Dance with me?"
Evia blushed and shook her head. "I can't dance."
"With me you can...I'll make you float." Geijon smiled seductively.
Evia's breath caught in her throat and she bit her lip nervously as she gazed at his handsome form.
"Dance with me Evia." He gently clasped her hand and lifted her from the chair. She moved with him slowly. She felt his hands move down her shoulders and around her waste. He pulled her even closer, breathing her in and gently bending his head slightly to
kiss her neck. Evia gasped in surprise and tried to keep her legs from shaking uncontrollably.
"At long last I have you in my arms." he whispered as he continued to nibble at her neck. "You don't know how long I have wanted to hold you this close."
"Have you really?" she whispered in disbelief.
"You are my Angel, you are my friend. You reside in my heart. Will you let me into yours?" Geijon asked as he lifted his head. Evia smiled through her tears, an overwhelming happiness overtaking her.
"Your already there, You've always been there." She whispered back. Geijon smiled and moved his mouth over hers.
Song of Love
High on a sky-lit, glass-walled observation platform overlooking the town of Whenimer's Landing late one evening, Geijon sat with his lady, Evialla cuddled close beside him, her head resting on his shoulder.
Their faces were bathed in the silvery light of the moons of Elanthia, their eyes sparkling as if reflecting the twinkling, dancing light of the stars shimmering through the deep midnight blue-black of the sky.
The warm breeze through the open windows, sweetly scented by the last of the late summer blossoms brushed softly over them, stirring Evialla's fiery-red hair about her shoulders and cheeks. The still of the night settled around them, disturbed only by the faint, soft rustling of the leaves, the low chirp of the crickets, an occasional trill of a nightbird's song, and the steady beating of their hearts.
A glint of golden light reflected off the surface of the brass telescope. "Look through it once, Evialla", Geijon said as he smiled softly at her, "I watched you at the well all of these years. This is a great place for me to sing my song to you", he said, kissing her tenderly. "I call it simply, The Song of Love."
"I love you, Geijon", Evialla said, her eyes sparkling with emotion.
"I love you too, angel, with all that I am", replied Geijon, kissing her softly on the neck.
Slowly, Geijon removed a well made solid redwood flute case from within a black sack, and opening it slowly removed from within an exquisite silver flute.
Smiling softly, and gently kissing Evialla once more, Geijon took the flute into his large hands. The silvery flute looked very tiny and delicate in his large giantman hands, as smiling handsomly, his eyes shining, he took the flute to his lips.
Evialla reached forth a trembling hand to gently touch Geijon's arm as he began to play the flute very slowly, his fingers dancing over the polished shaft of the instrument as he began to sing a slow, melodic tune.
With Evialla cuddled against him, Geijon kissed her on the ear, and began to sing:
"The Fields of Valhala are covered in snow
Unmarred and untouched.
A Woman as beautiful as an Angel
Stands walking towards me
Smiling softly with a brightness in her eyes."
"I am amazed as she approaches me,
More delicate and beautiful then anything I could possible have seen.
She smiles again, whispering to me.
Words of love and joy fill me."
Gazing fondly at Evialla, Geijon took the flute back up to his lips and continued playing the same slow melody, its beauty filling the room as he played for her, and her alone.
"She reaches for me, touching me and caressing me.
I gaze into her eyes,
Transfixed by her beauty.
She leans over and purrs softly at me.
I take her in my arms so loving and carefully."
His melody quickening, Geijon began to play faster as he sang.
"I touch her face,
Skin so soft and sensitive.
I brush her cheeks and rub my hands over her chin,
So beautiful and breathing softly,
Standing next to me."
Slowly dancing his fingers over the flute, playing his beautiful tune as he winds his song into the melody, Geijon played a few more notes, weaving in his song again, and looking deeply into Evialla's eyes, she realizes he is singing about her.
"I pull her close to me,
whispering words of love and beauty,
Marry me, Marry me...
Be my love for eternity,
I love thee."
Pushing a stray lock of hair back from her face, Evialla quickly wiped away a tiny sparkling tear from the corner of her eye, as Geijon sang to her.
"Look up to the sky
The stars shine bright and a tear streams down my cheek
She smiles exquisitly
Her beauty shining even more brightly
She kisses my lips and her answer in her eyes."
Geijon reached out to touch Evialla gently on her shoulder, as he paused in his song, and kissed her lips softly, gazing fondly into her eyes. Then gazing up into the star-filled sky, he began to play the final tunes of his song, the melody very slow and beautiful as a tear rolled down his cheek, his eyes filled with the emotion of song and the love in his heart.
"Be mine, Be mine,
For there will never be a time
When my love fades or dies
For you are my one and only true love and happiness."
"So take my hand and touch the sky
Walking the path of eternity
Your beauty majestic and forever everlasting
Love is in the night tonight."
Concluding his song, Geijon kissed Evialla again, his blue eyes gazing tenderly into her sparkling violet ones, as he reverently placed the flute back in it's case, and pulling Evialla into his arms, he kissed her lips softly, smiling at her.
"Only beauty like yours could inspire me to sing like that, love", Geijon says, smiling happily at Evialla. He hugged her tightly, cuddling her in his arms again, and gazed down into her joyful face, her eyes filled with sparkling tears.

"One Frightful Night"
"I took a stroll one frightful night,
M'lady hand in hand.
Girded 'bout with magic might,
Me shield glowed bright with dancing moon light."
"We wandered far in darkness,
Moon light guiding our path.
Casting ghostly shadows 'pon our trail
Casting ghostly shadows 'pon our hearts"
"Chill in the Air, crackling of leaves.
Is something moving behind us there.
Broad in hand. Anticipation.
Quick tender caress, a glance of fear."
Toemain smiles as he sings, his face a reflection of the night. You notice a pale flickering upon his brow and wonder what strange forces might be at work here.
"Struggle for life. Struggle 'gainst death
Senses reeling, in haste without thought,
Blindly striking that in front of me.
Final blows pounding. A punctuated silence."
"Me Sword wet and Bloody.
M'lady down in front of me.
I take her lifeless hands.
Howling What have I done!"
"Kneeling, sobs of anguish.
Face turned to a cold hearted orb.
I balance blood thirsty broad near.
Falling on it. Falling evermore"
Toemain smiles painfully and falls heavily to his knees, his face uplifted. His face is hidden and overshadowed by powerful emotions as streams of tears fall from his cheeks and land silently to the floor.
Toemain smiles as a tense, quiet pause gathers over the room.
Toemain smiles as he slowly, painfully stands again. As Toemain stands before you, you notice one final tear stream down his face. In a final gesture, he bows deeply and walks slowly away.

"The Youth and the Maiden"
A song to Leya
By Geijon Khyree
Grobinal exclaims, "Please welcome Geijon Khyree, Minstrel, journeymen and trouble making ambusher for our next performance!" Geijon removes a trillium blossom from inside his eonake gauntlets.
Geijon removes a single trillium blossom from a small cloth, its petals a delicate violet and shady glowing yellow, he then slowly reaches up and clasps it to his braid as the light glints off him.
Geijon idly picks at a trillium blossom.
Geijon stands up.
Geijon bows.
Geijon stands in the center of the room and gazes up into the stars, taking out a small red mahogany flute case, he opens it slowly as his fingers trace the polished wood.
Geijon reaches in and slowly removes a sparkling silver flute, his large giant hands seeming to make it look miniture, but very delicatly he holds it in his hands and takes it to his lips.
Geijon says, "This song is entitled "The Youth and the Maiden." Unlike much of Leya's later existance of despair after events changed her immortal life, but I decided to recall a graceful, happy moment of hers."
Geijon clears his throat.
Geijon takes the flute to his lips as he begins to sing, his fingers resting on the tiny silver cylinder as he prepares to play.
Geijon sings:
From the tears of a God
Miriweather coughs.
The candles flicker and dance, tickled by a breath of wind that steals through and sends ripples across the tent's silk.
Miriweather pounds her fist on the podium, and declares the floor open for discussion.
Geijon says, "am not"
Geijon grins.
Grobinal nods to Geijon.
Shadowkatt says, "Aint that the truth."
Myste exclaims, "are too!"
Evialla winks at Geijon.
Myste gives Geijon a good pinch!
Grobinal exclaims, "are too!"
Shadowkatt nods to Grobinal.
Grobinal gives Geijon a good pinch!
Grobinal grins.
Miriweather smiles at Geijon.
Miriweather pounds her fist on the podium, and calls for order.
Miriweather points at Geijon, giving him the floor.
A Goddess was born
Might of her father
The beauty of an exotic Queen
Grace unparalleled
Strength upheld.
Held in the arms of her Godly father
The God of might, Lord Kai
Sheltered by the elves, nurtered by her father
She rose among the others like a bastion of light
Tutored by her father, the God of might
Loved and protected by her father Kai
She believed she had no need for any other
Til one day riding her horse of beauty, the great white Rigaetha
She Spotted him, the youth of unsurpassed beauty
Geijon weaves in his tune, his voice mixing with the soft notes from his flute, his large fingers dancing like flickering lights over the small round holes on the flute with it pressed tight against his lips.
Geijon sings:
The young maiden, Goddess to be
Had never felt this feeling, could it be love
Or just an odd feeling, a twinge of wondering
But when she saw him and looked into his eyes
Burning deep blue as if penetrating her immortal soul
She knew it to be true
He looked up, gasping in amazement
The beauty before him, caused him to drop to his knees
Walking towards him and their hands met
Something they never felt before surrounded them
Eyes sparkling, cheeks blushing in a moment of youth
A twinkling moment of virgin adolescense
The soft 'who-who' of an owl drifts in from the forest, as the raptor sends its song into the moonlight.
Geijon delicatly plays the flute once more his head bowed as his fingers slide across the sparkling silver flute.
Geijon sings:
Side by side, stars streaming high above
They never left the glade
Where there love was founded
Holding and caressing
Love eternal, held in their hearts
For a moment in time..
For one shining moment..
We saw the joyful laughing..
The youthful giggling..
And the radiant smile..
Of the maiden Goddess, soon to be..
Amazon Queen.
Geijon smiles softly.
Geijon bows.
Geijon carefully returns his flute to his small mahogany case.
Geijon smiles.
Geijon says, "thankee kindly ladies and gentlemen"
Geijon bows.

"Kai's Tears
by Geijon Khyree
Born from the tears of Kai,
Warriors were created in his image.
Standing tall and proud with,
Honor and Justice upheld.
Wielding our might for that which is right,
blades aloft, bold and upright.
Striving to make our father proud,
born from the tears of Kai.
Brothers and Sisters, sons and daughters,
battle the darkness side by side.
Turning the tides, that which resides,
the darkness and Chaos until the end of time.
Forging Order in a world of uncertainty,
Warriors battle defiently in the face of death.
We fight and we perish,
For the preservation of the legacy.
